      Yes, Dr. Smith is a treasure. She taught philosophy to 3 of our kids at UDallas.
      Her "Contraception, Why Not?" talk has been inspiring to many clergy & laity. We appreciate her clarity in facing corruption in the Church while keeping the Faith.

    God bless Janet, but as I listen to this, I can't help but feel bad for her continually bad experiences with modernist NO seminaries. She likely doesn't know that the SSPX seminaries are the answer. If she visited and gave these types of talks at St Thomas Aquinas seminary for example, the seminarians would be scandalized for an entirely different reason. Most (note I did not say 'all') young traditional seminarians (at least those raised in the umbrella of Tradition) have no idea that this type of perverted behavior exists within the Church, let alone within seminaries around the world. It would simply be a foreign and disgustingly unbelievable concept. I pray Janet discovers the purity of what the good Abp Lefebvre and the SSPX have preserved within the Traditional Priesthood, schools, and priories/communities in her future. She will find a home and likely peace of soul there, of which you can see in her anguished face she is seeking.

    Yes Kennedy, gradually TLM is growing up in Africa,in Nigeria the bishops are not friendly,the same with most of the priest, largely due to false information about the TLM,and the effect of Protestant Pentecostalism,many priests and lay faithful are erecting Private prayer ministries,which is based on the spirit of charismaticism.And some are reverting to paganism and idolatry and spiritism. But the young people is embracing tradition and TLM, there's hope and future for the traditional Catholicism and TLM in Africa.

    A large number of priests teaching in African seminaries are not educated in Rome as is the case with much of the world. Through the great generosity of the very wealthy German Church they are actually educated to graduate level in Germany. The German church has also been very generous in supporting the seminary libraries in African countries.

    I get why many Catholics prefer the extra, ultra solemnity of the Latin Mass. Problem is it is not at all biblical. It actually talks very graphically and specifically about prayer and praise, all through the OT and NT. "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord", Lift up Holy hands and praise him all you gates", etc. The Charismatic Catholics have it just right. Nothing wrong w/ a solemn liturgy either, but where I come from, the novus ordo is plenty solemn and reverential. Mind you, it's a pretty conservative parish I've went to, since I attending Catholic Mass specifically the last while.

    I think, contrary to what many people think, Africa would definitely welcome the TLM amd switch to it with little effort. We only need to make effort to spread awareness of (the crises in the church and ) traditional Catholicism. Alot of us Africans didnt know about the issues in the church until we moved to the western world. If Africa can switch to the TLM (which they would gladly do in my opinion) it will be game over for the modernists in Rome

      @@helenemakuch8366 The concept of the science of NFP is fine, but unfortunately is highly misused in the conciliar church by neo-conservatives as another form of birth control. The traditionally Catholic view of bearing children is to leave it to God unless there are serious/grave circumstances, for which the married couple should seek personal advice from their traditional priest, not a NAPRO-trained nurse.

    • @anastasiajuneau9921
      @anastasiajuneau9921 2 месяца назад

      NFP is the practice of planning by thought, word and deed to have recourse to the infertile period exclusively in order to try to separate procreation from the conjugal act. This is contraception. Just because it is not chemical doesn’t make it not a mortal sin. Scripture and the Saints have all taught against contraception when chemical means to contracept were never a thing.

    It's very telling that Janet Switch is very unfamiliar with Ugandan culture. I think she should have studied Ugandan history before she set foot on East African history. Here are some tough facts about Uganda she may not have knew before she gave her gay speech.
    * After Idi Amen left the country in 1979, to rebuilt the society, many christians especially Catholic men had more than one wife and large families.
    *AIDS is not a homosexual disease. In Uganda in the 1990's it spread in the straight community, through the brothel system on the western trucking route from Aruba to the border of Rwanda. The hub of this activity was Masindi, Uganda.
    * Many Catholic priests have hidden families.
    * Uganda public health services which tracks AIDS cases reports a number of priests having AIDS. When I was in Uganda in 2016 I met a public health Dr. Who discussed the problem with me. He said it would be best to allow priest to marry. Marriage is a normal and expected situation for a man over 20.❤
    *These seminarians understand African culture, they have grown up with family incest, prostitution, rape of young girls by their brothers etc. Gays are more common in Ugandan society then you were led to believe.
    This is a country where the president of Uganda denied that AIDS existed in the country in the early 1990's.

    • @brewcity2317
      @brewcity2317 2 месяца назад

      Your marital solution to AIDS among Priest in Uganda contradicts your previous points about married men and the heterosexual nature of AIDS in Uganda.
      Yes, I was aware AIDS in Africa spread primarily through married men commiting adultery. Out of pure interest I took a 1 credit course on sexually transmitted diseases, years ago, at the secular UW-Milwaukee, lectured ironically by 2 black Africans with doctoral degrees in laboratory science 🧪🧫 and working here in Milwaukee.
      It might surprise some but the data then, that we learned in that course, was that New York City had an HIV/AIDS rate equivalent to the worst African countries. Warm weather cities that attract lots of tourist such as Miami and New Orleans had or have very high HIV/AIDS rate. The rate in cold weather Milwaukee is lower than in cold weather Chicago which attracts far more tourists across the nation and world. But cities in states like Utah and Wyoming have very low rates.
      Years ago the data was, and it may or may not have changed, is that 50% of American teens knowingly or unknowingly carry an STD.

    • @brewcity2317
      @brewcity2317 2 месяца назад

      @@david-nt3cz what do you mean what my point is.
      Your previous points made the points that homosexuality was not the cause of the spread of HIV/AIDS in Uganda but rather heterosexual MARRIED men were the principle vehicles.
      You then went on to contradict that by suggesting a discipline of chastity, when not married, is the vehicle of HIV/AIDS spread among Catholic Priests in Uganda and that the resolution to that dilemma is marriage to women among Priests in Uganda.

    • @david-nt3cz
      @david-nt3cz 2 месяца назад

      @@brewcity2317 Ok. That clarifies a few things.
      I was in Uganda during the height of the AIDS epidemic in 1994. I worked with a large business unit whose members where Catholic and all were married. Over time, I began to notice an unusually high number of members became ill and died. They were 50 and under. I became concerned. These people were straight not gay. AIDS does not ask you if you are gay before it invades your body.
      Culturally, visiting a prostitute is not uncommon in Western Uganda. This area contains the truck route between South Sudan and Rwanda. This is one of the epia centers for the spread of AIDS.
      Second point. The Uganda is concerned about single men, In this case priests, having sexual relationships with many women. Tracking their female contacts down in rural Uganda is time consuming and unthankful job conducted by the public health dept.
      A committed relationship ending in marriage may curb the number of AIDS Cases. It's not fool proof SOLUTION, but public health doctors feel it's one of many methods to keep the active AIDS Cases low.
