If you're a fan of mobile MMORPGs, give Kakele Online a try! With an active base of over 10,000 players, frequent updates, and a team that listens to the community and by the way have to PC too!
Thanks for the feedback, I tried to have a little cinematic and a little gameplay for most of them. I'll make sure to include even more gameplay next time!
Here's one I keep close to my heart and I never hear anyone talking about: DC Universe Online. It's defenetely not perfect, has a lot of flaws, like most games in the list, but I find it REALLY fun to play. It has the most absurd customizations that I have ever seen in any game, the gameplay is fast and challenging, also all the quests are voiced. Might not be for everyone, but I love it. If you like MMOs and superheros, just give it a try!
The biggest problem with Guild Wars 2 is that the free to play part has limits that no one ever mentions in their RUclips videos yet make it sound completely free base game and can pay for expansions.Let me tell you as someone who has played since 2012 and seen all the changes and have the expansions but also made a free account just to REALLY see the limitations they are pretty impactful. You have only 2 bag slots and can't use most of the trading post to get what paid players take for granted such as bigger games and armor. Also you are limited where you can go until certain levels that paid players don't have such as not being able to get to Lion's Arch until level 35 and not able to do any WvW until level 60. The base game is fully explorable and playable but the bag space is the BIGGEST hinderance to that. At least Anet finally changed it so that free players can use map chat to ask questions now even though they still can't use whispers to guild recruiters who map hop as free to play players can only whisper within their same map. They can whisper outside of map only if mutual friends which means they have to have had friended you back but there is no notification to tell them that you friended them in the first place. They only know if they check the friends list and click followers. Also no gliding unless you buy the first expansion and mount is a limited 10 hour trial and becomes available at level 10 and after the hours are used up you have no more mount until you buy an expansion (2nd expansion but now 1st and 2nd are sold together so that is better). I am not going to go into all the other limitations as they are not as impactful. Oh and they can't use the drinkable guild buffs if they do manage to get into a guild and go to guild hall. NOW because anyone gives me any HATE I obviously LOVE the game since I Have been playing for 11 years but I have seen way too many disappointed free players that I feel it is important for this all to be mentioned. Especially when including games like Guild Wars 2 in Free games and Free to Play game lists. I think if players knew before going in what the limits are they would not be disappointed as the game offers so much for free! The REAL Free that Anet advertises is Free Base WITH the purchase of Expansion. But True Free of the base game itself is NOT like the original Free game but with limits. Too many free players keep asking "How can I access my mount or glider?"
"too many free players keep asking how do I access my mount..." Well if they're asking that then they need to open their fucking eyes because it LITERALLY tells you it's a trial. Mounts weren't added until the first expansion, hence not being part of the BASE game. If you're gonna spew a bunch of nonsense then at least do your research. I don't get why anyone should feel entitled to all of this extra stuff. You get hours upon hours of content for free and you feel entitled to all of the paid content?
@@anony-moon yea but i don't think I've ever played a mmo that makes you pay for a 50 dollar expansion to go a little faster and locks most of the map behind 100 dollars worth of dlcs that's not even a issue for me auto run and youtube fixed that for me lol but it takes me an ungodly amount of time to get gold I've had to break down gear worth 5 gold in the shop to sell a small portion of the resources for like 20 silver i wouldn't have minded any of it if it wasn't advertised as this amazing mmo you can enjoy just as much as the next guy with awesome mounts and a huge map for free just to get told you need to pay 100 dollars so you can play the free game and every guild wars player throws a fit when u bring up how people tend to feel cheated for being locked out of some of the most basic content
I went through your lists for F2P MMOs, and a couple of them got left out, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis and City of Heroes: Homecoming. The first is F2P friendly where the micro-transactions are mainly cosmetics and conveniences along side the optional subscription (also basically conveniences that is very low cost), PSO2:NGS also has an option to play the previous game in the series Phantasy Star Online 2 as a DLC with ability to bounce your characters between the games on top of being cross platform. CoH on the other hand is 100% free when it was resurrected in 2019 after the original serves were shut down back in 2012, all the old pay walls were removed when the game was brought back allowing players to fully build their characters and run all content. Both of these games don't have the standard tank, DPS, and healer classes, instead they have their own systems that have different combinations to fit varied play-styles.
Correct me if im wrong, last time i played Wizard101 its not exactly free to play, cause the base game its way too short and 90% if not more its behind a paywall.
I would like to add an honorable mention to City of Heroes. Homecoming has unofficially been hosting City of Heroes since NCSoft closed it down some years ago. However, just a few days ago, NCSoft officially granted Homecoming that license. So it's back, officially.
STO is VASTLY underrated. If you like traditional MMOs play it. If you like EVE and want a watered down space version, play it. If you like Star Trek, play it. It is VERY fun.
genshin is not a mmo, i play it alot and love the game but it is NOT a mmo. at most it can be considered a coop capable game, because in the end 99% of the game is solo.
Pushing that F2P MMO Definition. I guess at least you didn't list Micrsoft Solitaire! LOTRO is a really good game for Tolkien fans, and even in it's dated way there is a lot of beauty in it. Sometimes when I log in I just go for a horse ride and take in the sights. For me it was always a more casual game, but they keep dropping level cap increases so I would always feel left behind. When Minas Tirith came out, a place I was looking forward too, the then 32 bit client caused lots of crashes and I haven't really been able to get back into the game since. I would still recommend it all that said. SWTOR is in such a weird place right now. This is my "sweaty" game, and sadly that is about all I do in it anymore. I feel that the devs have taken some of the wrong lessons and have really killed some of the original vibe of the game by pushing story from a potentially Co-op experience to being all but impossible to play with a friend. Their most recent expansion, Legacy of the Sith was meager and was also supposed to be part of a yearlong 10th Anniversary celebration that never materialized. LOTS, besides being not much more than a normal story update, also became very buggy and grindy. Only a handful of my plethora of alts have been leveled up, and even less and gone any further in the story then needed to hit level cap. They also paired down abilities in a pretty unpopular way and made gearing super confusing. STO I think also is a great game for Star Trek fans and is a fun casual game. Space combat is fun, if maybe a bit basic compared to some games, ground can be a bit They have regular event that allow you to earn most of the best stuff in game for free if you have some patience, and there is a strong builds community on Reddit that can help you make a really high DPS build on the cheap as a F2P player. They also have a lot of voice acting from actors that were on the shows.
This would've been my main MMO again when they added ranked PVP. But then they ruined it a few months after due to "toxicity." Like what? I loved sweating on this game. I wish SWTOR would get more love. Honestly. It has the potential to be the best star wars game ever. Valkorion DLC kept the game going for me, honestly. Legacy of the sith was lackluster too. Honestly, overall I'm just so disappointed but I want to love it still. It's really sad for SWTOR fans rn.
I loved LOTRO and played it regularly with my wife, but was really disappointed that so much of the content was paywalled. Really couldn't afford it back then and it just threw off the entire thing for us. I also love STO. I can see how it's looked at as being fairly basic, but if you're a Star Trek fan (and my name is Spock + fantastic), it's great. It continues the storylines from the shows and it's all considered canon, which can be both a good and a bad thing. I hate that the story of the franchise is locked behind an MMO, but I love that you get to experience that story through the MMO. It's been a few years since I regularly played it, though.
Nice video! With Star Wars: The Old Republic there is more than meets the eye. It is a F2P MMORPG in some way, but you are quite limited in the stuff you can do. There are some conveniences, like the money you can have, the XP you are gaining, but there are a couple of things that are maybe a inconvenience. Like you cannot equip purple gear that you receive. According to some sources it is harder to get those, but as soon as you jump into flashpoint (dungeon) you will most likely get at least one purple piece of gear, which you cannot equip. You can also only receive mail (and not sent), no trade possibility, level cap of 60 (80 is max.) etc. As soon as you spent €5 or $5 in the game, or you have subbed once, you will get preferred status, which will make things a bit easier. But overall, if you are dedicated on playing this game, a subscription is definitely required to do the later content, get to max. level, etc.
at this point you can "somewhat" include Black Desert as an honorable mention as a F2P (though mostly free2enjoy for me at least :P) game since more than half of the year it's discounted as low as a singular dollar and mostly during winter you can get the game for free lol
@@Scribeprime My point was it could be an honorable mention as when the event comes it is usually free on steam and most of the time it is discounted as low as a dollar. Got 4 accounts (I play on multiple regions) with the game being free, since mostly they offer missions to do to get the base game during events. Sorry if I wasn't as clear.
@@buhshiro all good no offence meant at all, I found black desert to be really bad with the controls and not at all new player friendly but that may just be me
@@Scribeprime No offence taken at all my guy hahaha, was worried I wasn't able to deliver my message well. And also yeah, I do think BDO is quite unique because of its combo based action combat system. But hey, to each their own haha. Have a pleasant day!
There’s one that’s mostly known by the French/spanish community but I also know there’s a strong English community of players, it’s called Dofus it’s a free to play turn based mmorpg I’ve been playing it since my childhood and that game is just so good imo !
There's nothing FTP about Wizard101. Just do a wee bit more digging and on top of either the monthly sub, or buy-by-area, you'll find that if you want to get into the advanced combat, PvP, Raids, PvE Challenge modes, you're gonna need to drop a lot of coin on this game. The first pay-wall comes after about 5 hours of gameplay. The PvP system is broken and the devs have no clue on how to fix it. J Todd Coleman created this game and left years ago when he saw the writing on the wall. Gamigo owns is now, and we all know what they're about
just to include some games not mentioned here that are definitely worth checking out: Trove, Adventure Quest 3D, Toram, Everquest 2, Eden Eternal, and my all time favourite Anarchy Online !
Keep in mind with Final Fantasy 14, the "Free Trial" only lasts as long as you don't pay for ANYTHING... Once you purchase any expansions or start a subscription, you CANNOT go back to the "Free Trial" version, meaning, even if you say, wanna go back for a month or 2 to save some cash, you can, but you can't play the Free Version any longer... There is no locking out "Premium" content while you use the "Free Trial" version, it's just gone, completely... Obviously this isn't a super big deal, but if you are planning on doing as much "Free Trial" content as possible, including leveling up all the possible jobs/classes, do all that first before purchasing ANYTHING... Just a heads up
from all these games, I am currently playing: Warframe 12:35. It is a very fun game and as it was told it is free, everything is free, you only pay for cosmetics if you want to support the game and beautiful skins and plat if you want to support the game aswell. After all they need money to keep working on the game. But even platinum you can get ingame by selling stuff you aqcuire while playing. Ps: Many skins can be acquired with platinum aswell, that you can get ingame by trading gear items with other players. Guild Wars 2 6:54 Is my all time favorite MMO. It never disappoints. The expansions are worth to be purchase for the great amount of content it brings. Unfortunatelly the last expansion I bought was Path of Fire. Reason why I haven't been back into the game. In my country the expansion price is the price in $ x5. So I haven't been able to spend that much even though I think it is worth it every penny. The community is also the best I've ever seen in games. In the past I was even a Guild Leader and used to do a lot of trains inside the game. I'll probably go back at some point. I am willing to try out something new, so from this list and based on the knowledge I have so far, I am between Star Wars 15:12 and maybe Final Fantasy 14 14:38. Also Path of Exiles. This last one I tried it on mobile and it was fun but I got bored pretty fast. Reason why I am not gonna try it right now. From all other games mentioned here. Lost Ark 8:53 as soon as you get at high tier you have to pay if you wanna progress at some point or play for endless hours to get materials to do the end game dungeons, or pay gold to someone to give you a bus. It is not worth it. It is not even that fun because the content gets very repetitive. Blade And Soul 16:20 is the same. You have to pay to progress your gear in order to play the end game dungeons, even though I really loved the game story line, but yes, it has a lot of loading screens all the time. If it wasn't the hard core money grab from NCSoft it would be a fun game. Aion (not in the list) is another free to play, Another game by NCsoft, but they focus so much in trying to take money from the players that it isn't that fun. It was better when it was published by an american company and the game used to be really fun, untill they decided to cut out 3 of the funniest maps for PVP in the game. It is still one my favorites game for pvp. But not worth it to try anymore. There is another Free to Play game that wasn't mentioned here, another mmorpg called Phantasy Star Online: New Genesis. But not everyone is into that kind of game. I have almost 3k hours in the thought, but playing the classic version of the game not the New Genesis. it can be fun if you are bored.
To be honest, I have built my video game collection enough. I’m only gonna focus on playing free to play games and the games I have bought. At least until Christmas time Then I might take advantage of the Christmas sales from last year’s games when they’re 90% off
Petition for Lucky Ghost to actually play or look further into LOTRO so that he has more to say about the game. 😅 Although, if he's tried the game before and quit, I recommend waiting until the Spring to the Winter quarter of this year up to 2025 at the latest. :3 The same goes to other players who had tried it previously and are waiting for certain technical improvements. That said, LOTRO is a solid, albeit older-looking, title with hundreds of hours of content for free and is regularly updated.
Adventurequest 3d is worth a mention it has a TON of free content an a one time purchase for the other stuff so a solid deal ! Has a lot of classes an a decent playercount
Turtle WoW should be number 1 on this list. It’s a private server of WoW classic that is completely free with thousands of active players. Another one is Ascension WoW.
You get insurance on your ship in Eve Online that's pays out about 70% IIRC, but it's been several years since I played the game so I could be off a bit.
It's good, but I dislike how they don't seem to care about updating outdated content. Like ability VFX for core specs. Also the fact that the coolest looking character customization is locked behind a store item sucks.
Not a fan of fantasy or typical RPG styles, I wish there were more MMO's with different themes, worlds, (I ve played a t lot of eve online) but wish more themes & worlds were available i.e: - Westerns - Shipping & Crewing sailing the ocean's online - Gangster, Mafia MMO's - Cyberpunk MMO's etc I mean MMO stands for massively multiplayer online (not always fantasy) I think there scope for a lot more online worlds and themes but of course MMO with servers and investment need to get it right or they die quick.
I would only recommend POE and Warframe if you want a TRUE FTP (meaning the whole effin game is FREE). 14 Is awsome, yet the trial has SO many restrictions, like grouping up or bank, GW2 has the best subclasses plus one of the most important classes locked behind a paywall, LostArk technically is ftp, but the soft and hard caps make it almost imposible to not unleash your wallet, Albion is a death simulator for new players, Neverwinter is dead or almost, genshin is 'a single-player adventure with elements that allow for multiplayer interaction'. Now if you HAVE to swipe, SWTOR is the best option due to the fact you only pay once and get the whole game , not an expansion or a portion of the game, THE WHOLE GAME with one month
It's been a long time since FF14 had those restrictions. I just jumped back in and was surprised. The whole ass game is free, aside from the limits on back. That's just to avoid gold spamming. Plus 3 expansions are free as well, that's a helluva lot more than even PoE, or Warframes content for free.

Who paid you to say wizard101 is free? Maybe 5% of the game is accessible for free players the rest requires a sub or you buy each zone with paid currency.
3 games i did enjoy but all were unfortunately shut down were: Bless unleashed, traha global, and armored gods or something, I enjoyed them all greatly I played the armored gods game on my phone alot and was very high leveled howver as i mentioned they all have shutdown which is a bust for me cus they were all my favorites
Good thing you said LostArk is P2W. It is worth adding that lost ark is P2W. Attention on which server you start the game, you choose a dead one then you will have to play from scratch. Beware of millions of bots. And remember LostArk is P2W in the best sense of the word. Do you want to spend $200k? Take it easy this is the beginning of spending more. Did I mention that LA is P2W? Then remember LA is P2W
I've literally never seen a single ad or campaign anywhere on the internet for the game. I honestly forget it exists, but I should include it next time!
In Neverwinter you don’t get any advantages spending money besides speeding up your PROGESS everything you can farm yourself or you can trade/sell things for zen which then lets you buy things in the market which speeds up your progress & virtually counters the P2W aspect of the game Jesus Christ but it’s probably the best fully F2P MMO game out for the last decade or so 🤦♂️
Just saying I have played Albion and it’s fun at first but it’s got one of the most hands down toxic communities there is for gaming. You’ll find no help there unless you’re equally as toxic and people scam a lot in that game also. I’d scratch that one completely js
similar to lost ark, very very toxic and the already hard asf legion raids are gate kept nowadays especially with less players. you fart in the wrong direction and its an instant team wipe and ppl yelling at you, genuinely hated the experience. that and the p2w(lose) rng aspect of it but thats to be expected nowadays honestly. its a shame, lost ark has by far the best combat in any mmorpg, and most satisfying combat of any game for me across all genres, but its held back by dumbass raid design and an overly toxic community hell bent on making new/casual/returning players a living hell. if ur not treating it like a second job, youve got no business playing endgame lost ark.
about neverwinter i`ve been playing and we cant reach even mid game without months of grind, doing only the same thing and nothing more because we cant get item level
blade and soul is in a good spot right now with their Soul Boost giving you upgraded items that you need to complete dungeons quickly. im very surprised that more players arent playing it right now.
its a good game but i would say its the most ping reliant game i've seen ever, if you don't live in east coast US for US servers its not worth it. Server location moved from Texas to east coast and all the west coast people instantly quit since its not worth the end game let alone overseas players where playing overseas is just griefing itself. You do less than half the damage if you have same gear lol
@@bliss2_308 im on the west coast right now and get 75ms and as a gunner i do higher damage than 90% or more than anyone else at the same gear. I remember when the game minimum ms was 150 and that was just unplayable..
This depresses me because New World had such a chance to be a true disruptor. It’s mechanically better than 90% of the list, yet with no endgame at launch and crappy progression, the game very quickly died.
the game died quickly because it was a stinking pile of bs, littered with game breaking bugs and economy ruining bugs/dupes that the devs were warned about and knew about, but still pushed the stinking pile of bs onto the public, then tried to fix it creating more stinking piles of game breaking bs, thats why it died so quick.
MMOs in 2024 = bad beginner experience, miss the slow grind and the community that MMO's had and the story that got you ready for your adventure, now mmo's throw a max lvl at you for free skipping the story and area's and the end game stuff are mostly group things that no one ever does without being in a discord that don't care for new players that are trying to figure out what skill rotation you just got. 😕
That means you never played GW2. It is the best mmorpg. You can have your slow grind, your weapons will never go outdated, you can leave for a year, come back and still be able to play the game. You have thousand of achievements only for exploring, puzzles, you can get legendary gear if you adventure and gather a lot of achievements by playing the game. Even when they release an expansion that brings you endless amount of hours of gameplay and the base game always get some update because of the expansions. And if you are max lvl, doesn't mean you can sit around and only do 2 or 3 content in the game. You can do all contents and all of them are meaningful. If you are a max lvl but you are going to raid a boss in a lvl 10 map, your lvl is adjusted to lvl 10, so you don't feel like it is easy. All dungeons are playable independant of your lvl because it also adjusts and the difficult are maintained. And the open world content is endless. You can also join up to 5 different guilds. That means a lot of poeple to play the pve and pvp maps and to interact with.
Sucks I cant find any other game with warframes movement system. I love the bullet jumping and fast paced movement but I put in over 9k hours in the game that I'm just bored of it now.
Great vid' LuckyGhost, thank you! With so many options to get lost in. I highly recommend playing through the story lines of all the class stories in SWTOR. GW2, FFXIV, POE all feel pretty modern. I've yet to play Genshin, and the most fun I had long ago in Neverwinter online was oddly enough running through one of the player made stories from the board (I don't know if that still exists?) Just trying to offer a bit of personal input from time spent. What have been some of your favorite times from the list everyone?
Please include tags with the Linux compatability. I do understand proton is ever evolving but Albion as an example has been on the official repos since the games release as a staple for open ended gaming. Its a huge boon that you kinda let fall by the wayside. Missed opportunity bud.
I tried wizard101 and it seems cool ☺️ I would love to keep playing it, but the controls are cancer. They break 2 rules: 1) for virtually every 3d movement game you can strafe left and right when you hold down the right mouse button - but in some games you just turn in place, which is frustrating and unplayable imo. 2) you can't add or change keybindings, that I see. Which means I can't use the normal janky bandaid of changing 'a' and 'd' to strafe, nor can I setup the standard control scheme - that virtually every 3d game uses, frustrating. The controls were frustrating and so I put it down. But do I love the primis and did want to play more - but I'm not going to, too many good games that actually get it right to put in more effort. But at least now the feedback is out there lol Edit: went back in, cuz I liked it enough to convince myself to try to tolerate the controls again and ran into paid content in short order - so I guess it doesn't stay free to play for too long. Good concept imo, pour execution.
tf? this is what is good about it. Do you fly by yourself in rl, do you jump high by yourself? do you hover over the sea? do you pass thru portals with your abilities? Why do you want 1 single mount to do everything? And you only need to press 1 button to exchange your mount, not a big deal lol.
Honestly shitty thing that MMO'S now a days make you buy the entire game and then a subscription after on a monthly basis, its stupid as hell and honestly shouldn't be a thing considering the fact that they almost always cost the amount of a Triple A game new release. I would love to get into MMO'S again, but its fucked in terms of payments and I ain't gonna buy subscriptions for a fecking game because thats just greedy if they have the game being sold ontop of that at a full priced game..... bring back true F2P MMO's ffs

What's your favorite F2P MMO?
Hello. I'd like to know what is the tittle of game at 00:06. Can you answer me please?
The fact that it's 2024 and the game selection is the same as five years ago is wild.
yeah every fucking mmo list on youtube is just the same bullshit.
@@olfan92what's best among these? Which is not pay to win
lol
its the same shit as 10 years ago too. every mmo top list is just the same copied shit.
@brandonsean123 yes literally every video is the exact same shit some in different order lol.
If you're a fan of mobile MMORPGs, give Kakele Online a try! With an active base of over 10,000 players, frequent updates, and a team that listens to the community and by the way have to PC too!
Would be nice if these videos featured mostly gameplay instead of cinematics which don't at all convey what the game is like
Thanks for the feedback, I tried to have a little cinematic and a little gameplay for most of them. I'll make sure to include even more gameplay next time!
@@LuckyGhost Thanks for taking the feedback well, love the videos! :)
Exactly
Oh damn forgot about that one, been playing it ages ago, its been pretty enjoyable as I remember
No, you're right. And there's the super aggressively predatory crown shop lol.
Right? Would have been such a good game otherwise.
It's like mmorpgs got 10 years that are alrdy dead and we are at the fucking museum.
genshin is not a mmo, i play it alot and love the game but it is NOT a mmo. at most it can be considered a coop capable game, because in the end 99% of the game is solo.
Hey thats exactly what I said in this video :)

Genshin Impact and Warframe are not MMOs.
If those aren't mmo's then path of exile isn't either
Genshin is not f2p friendly
Okay, thank you for your input
As said in the video
MMO adjacent How many of yall just don't watch the video, look at time stamps, an rush to the comments to complain 😂😂😂😂😂
But overall, if you are dedicated on playing this game, a subscription is definitely required to do the later content, get to max. level, etc.
can you permanently equip purple gear or level up to 80 when you had a sub for one month and then cancelled it?
@@embreis2257the gear stays equipped but won’t be able to remove or add new pieces
Great video! A small spelling error on the Path of Exile section.

at this point you can "somewhat" include Black Desert as an honorable mention as a F2P (though mostly free2enjoy for me at least :P) game since more than half of the year it's discounted as low as a singular dollar and mostly during winter you can get the game for free lol
Gotta buy the base game not a free mmo
@@Scribeprime My point was it could be an honorable mention as when the event comes it is usually free on steam and most of the time it is discounted as low as a dollar. Got 4 accounts (I play on multiple regions) with the game being free, since mostly they offer missions to do to get the base game during events. Sorry if I wasn't as clear.
@@buhshiro all good no offence meant at all, I found black desert to be really bad with the controls and not at all new player friendly but that may just be me

LOL the intro music being URF from LoL is hilarious
ptsd
What does a bunch of paid projects with a free demo have to do with it?
Was not expecting to see Wizard101 on this list. It's barely free, but it is a very unique fun relaxing game.
Fucking blows that OSRS is still so relevant. Why can't we ever get a good replacement after decades? This genre is down so bad.
very helpful video now i know what to play , subbed and liked.
Thanks for the sub! and welcome aboard! happy to have you
Keep in mind with Final Fantasy 14, the "Free Trial" only lasts as long as you don't pay for ANYTHING... Just a heads up
Great point
Warframe looked super fun. I'm surprised no one has commented about it.
Great Video! very accurate. Wish I could recover some old accounts because I have played most of these. Keep is going Luck Ghost!
from all these games, I am currently playing:
Warframe 12:35.
That intro sound made me think that i que'd up for urf for a second XDDDD

insane how idleon isn't on this list imo, it's a great game. Currently my favourite indie game that i'm playing atm.
To be honest, I have built my video game collection enough. I’m only gonna focus on playing free to play games and the games I have bought.
At least until Christmas time
Then I might take advantage of the Christmas sales from last year’s games when they’re 90% off
after 10 years still the same list...
Are we not going to mention Toontown Corporate Clash?! The greatest hidden gem out there
Petition for Lucky Ghost to actually play or look further into LOTRO so that he has more to say about the game.
I remember AQ3d, played for 10 hours then I discovered DKOnline and i wasted way to many time (sad I lost the pw to that account)
Imo: the best non AAA f2p (but unfortunately p2w) mmorpg is Arche Age.
Guild wars 2 hands down
Turtle WoW should be number 1 on this list. It’s a private server of WoW classic that is completely free with thousands of active players. Another one is Ascension WoW.
Why the lack of love for city of heroes? Especially now that Homecoming server is officially licensed by NCSoft
You get insurance on your ship in Eve Online that's pays out about 70% IIRC, but it's been several years since I played the game so I could be off a bit.
I’m a little disappointed was searching a similar game like Dragon Nest but none seems near to that game
An mmo video FINALLY showed MapleStory with the single class that has ever been deleted in its 20 year history haha
;)
Gw2 is a good game but i hate that you need to buy the expansions to get the full game and you cant trade without them 😢
It's good, but I dislike how they don't seem to care about updating outdated content. Like ability VFX for core specs.
Also the fact that the coolest looking character customization is locked behind a store item sucks.
Yep, games have to monetize somehow, they dont make them because they care you are bored.
@@Wenedi you can trade gold to buy these things. You just can't but the expansions with ingame currency.
@@joshuaSand3rs someone HAS to spend money to get that item though.
Not a fan of fantasy or typical RPG styles, I wish there were more MMO's with different themes, worlds, (I ve played a t lot of eve online) but wish more themes & worlds were available i.e:
- Westerns
- Shipping & Crewing sailing the ocean's online
- Gangster, Mafia MMO's
- Cyberpunk MMO's etc
I mean MMO stands for massively multiplayer online (not always fantasy) I think there scope for a lot more online worlds and themes but of course MMO with servers and investment need to get it right or they die quick.

Then remember LA is P2W

I’ve seen quite a few of your MMO list videos now, and just wondering why you never include EverQuest 2?
I've literally never seen a single ad or campaign anywhere on the internet for the game. I honestly forget it exists, but I should include it next time!
In Neverwinter you don’t get any advantages spending money besides speeding up your PROGESS everything you can farm yourself or you can trade/sell things for zen which then lets you buy things in the market which speeds up your progress & virtually counters the P2W aspect of the game Jesus Christ but it’s probably the best fully F2P MMO game out for the last decade or so 🤦♂️
Lost ark would’ve been the best mmorpg if it wasn’t packed with so much bulshid…
YOOOOO ITS CRAZY AND AMAZING THAT WIZARD 101 IS ON THE LIST
city of heroes is free to ply and one of the fan servers just got a OFFICIAL from the company
well that Omnibreasts looks great 😎😝
Just saying I have played Albion and it’s fun at first but it’s got one of the most hands down toxic communities there is for gaming. You’ll find no help there unless you’re equally as toxic and people scam a lot in that game also. I’d scratch that one completely js
similar to lost ark, very very toxic and the already hard asf legion raids are gate kept nowadays especially with less players. you fart in the wrong direction and its an instant team wipe and ppl yelling at you, genuinely hated the experience. that and the p2w(lose) rng aspect of it but thats to be expected nowadays honestly.
its a shame, lost ark has by far the best combat in any mmorpg, and most satisfying combat of any game for me across all genres, but its held back by dumbass raid design and an overly toxic community hell bent on making new/casual/returning players a living hell.
if ur not treating it like a second job, youve got no business playing endgame lost ark.
mmos are depressing
Albion's a joke, actual zerg simulator with the saddest laggiest netcode ever, just terrible.
about neverwinter i`ve been playing and we cant reach even mid game without months of grind, doing only the same thing and nothing more because we cant get item level
well compiled and interesting list... Warframe and Path of Exile got my attention, so I'll give it a try and see how it goes...
Poe is goated and less grindy so try that first
Warframe is nice, but as a begginer you better look for info online :D

On free to play we always waste more money, so better not free, but with single time purchase, without monthly fees.
Would like to suggest EverQuest is all free to play too.

I love how you showed 0% gameplay of that 32-bit graphics in SWTOR
blade and soul is in a good spot right now with their Soul Boost giving you upgraded items that you need to complete dungeons quickly. im very surprised that more players arent playing it right now.
its a good game but i would say its the most ping reliant game i've seen ever, if you don't live in east coast US for US servers its not worth it. Server location moved from Texas to east coast and all the west coast people instantly quit since its not worth the end game let alone overseas players where playing overseas is just griefing itself.
M.S. IS THE WROST GAME OF WORLD, THIS GAME IS A LIGHT NOVEL, SO MUCH TALK AND LESS FIGHT.
i feel the same way... nobody want to play games with new people anymore
FF14, Runescape, GW2
Just 3 from this list alone that aren't that way
LOTRO and GW2 are the best on the list.
Oh, and OSRS. 😏
Sucks I cant find any other game with warframes movement system. I love the bullet jumping and fast paced movement but I put in over 9k hours in the game that I'm just bored of it now.

Title says F2P, half of the games in the list are paid. Their free portion is not worth talking about.

I tried wizard101 and it seems cool ☺️
I would love to keep playing it, but the controls are cancer. They break 2 rules:
1) for virtually every 3d movement game you can strafe left and right when you hold down the right mouse button - but in some games you just turn in place, which is frustrating and unplayable imo.
But at least now the feedback is out there lol
Edit: went back in, cuz I liked it enough to convince myself to try to tolerate the controls again and ran into paid content in short order - so I guess it doesn't stay free to play for too long. Good concept imo, pour execution.
GW2 I can't stand the mounts in game, no 1 mount does anything. You have to switch mounts for different uses and it sucks.
tf? this is what is good about it. Do you fly by yourself in rl, do you jump high by yourself? do you hover over the sea? do you pass thru portals with your abilities? Why do you want 1 single mount to do everything? And you only need to press 1 button to exchange your mount, not a big deal lol.
thank you mate this is pretty cool warframe is acctualy so good
Wizard 101 is free to TRY
guild wars 2 is not free to play when so much content and basic needs like mounts are locked.

IMO I wont call Genshin a MMORPG. Open world yes. but MMO? nahh
SO.. all old ones. 2024 I want new ones.
I so wish they'd do Guild Wars 3.
GW3 would be epicccc
As a PC gamer since like '93, i have never heard of wizards101 😅
MMOs are an amazing genre
Nothing hits quite the same as finding a really good MMO to get lost in for the first time
not sure if i really consider MMOs to be a genre, i'll have to look up the definition to be sure.
Funny "Elder Scroll Online" not mentioned in list :(
