i would love to see an MF DOOM bracket, you guys haven’t mentioned him much except for once recently and I would love to see more representation for this legend
yeah from the sound of it they haven't dove into DOOM too much, i would love for them to go through his discog and do a bracket. so many amazing choices though, it'd be so hard to pick the winner.
the way they said Eminem looked like an asshole when they talk about killshot is so funny. they do not know the backstory of what happened and what the real reason is that killshot got created. they clearly do not know the origins of the song so they should not rate it at all
Not exactly hate, but rather they are the type of people who very obviously prefer more conceptual and emotional songs, which is absolutely fine, but that's not Eminem nowadays. Their opinion on Killshot is purely "Oh he's just beating down a small rapper" when Killshot has some of the most amazing rhyme schemes and flows. I've only watched 8 minutes by the way. It's also really stupid to do this in a single elimination format, the very first one, Lose Yourself vs Gnat, is a really hard one for me too, both are absolutely phenomenal and neither should lose on the first of 6 total rounds.
@@DeJay7 That's kind of their point on Killshot? It's like a marine sniper spending four hours testing wind strength, calculating bullet drop, setting distance targets, calculating air pressure, ect ect to land a killshot on a terminally ill cancer patient about to be euthanised. You're going very hard on someone you could give your minimum effort to beat, and it makes the entire thing try hard and difficult to listen to. Beyond that fact the beat is bad, and while the rap is technically excellent; it, like much of Em's recent work, doesn't sound good. Look at like, meet the grahams, that goes even harder in on Drake than Killshot does, but the beat is sick, and the rap while being technically stripped back (if definitely not lyrically stripped back), it's still genuinely enjoyable to listen to as Kendrick uses subtle voice techniques to intrigue the listener.
@@bostonholland3704 "it, like much of Em's recent work, doesn't sound good". That's your opinion, I absolutely love Em's recent work, and songs like Killshot sound really good BECAUSE they are lyrically and technically excellent. Whereas I don't find Kendrick's stuff just as good in the ear, maybe because I'm white, but it's just not on Em's level for me. As for the overkill on the whole situation, hey, it's still greatly impressive how hard he can diss someone, and it's in a way discouraging others from going after him. I immediately thought of death sentences, and not the neat and chill ones nowadays, I'm talking the electric chair in front of some people and the guillotine in front of many more. I mean, the subject is literally imprisoned, you can just silently kill them in a killing room with a usual method for killing, but they decided to do it in front of the public with such overkill methods. And you can't tell me the electric chair doesn't take a lot of work to set up, it's overkill. BUT IT'S OKAY. AND IF THE RESULT IS EXCELLENT, THE WORK IS EXCELLENT.
I think a pre-2000 rap bracket would be dope, although mentioning pac and biggie may be tough for Graydon as he wrestles mentally with what he did to the both of them! Love the content as always
Cinderella Man is insane how do they not like it? Also The Way I Am is literally the best song on the MM LP I don't understand how it lost first round??? Without Me is definitely my favorite Eminem song though
Yeah, I kinda felt like they really don't care much for him and were mostly making fun of him. This is my first time watching these guys and I got a little tired of hearing their critical comments. I'd like to see them do better. Eminem is fucking brilliant. And way too many songs were missing from this bracket.
@@frances11593 of course way too many songs were missing from the bracket, they've always done 64 for each bracket so it would be weird to do 128 or 256 just for eminem
@@frances11593they were mainly making fun of the newer personality of his music. They heavily rock with and respect old Eminem and they said in the bracket so many times that they enjoyed many Eminem songs. They wouldn’t even have done this in the first place if they didn’t like him as an artist or think he’s a legend.
I was genuinely blown away by how quickly you guys breezed past Deja Vu without giving it any praise whatsoever, and then choosing THE MONSTER over it in the very first round. I personally think that is the single best song Eminem has made post Lose Yourself - it is such an incredibly personal, introspective, deeply moving reflection on his struggle with addiction, and I personally love the hook that you guys made fun of. I wasn't expecting it to go all the way or anything obviously, I know that I love and connect with it more than the average Eminem fan does (and it would still lose to several tracks off his first 3 albums), but I was under the impression that it was pretty widely regarded as at minimum one of the best track on relapse, and to have no mention of its lyrical content whatsoever in this discussion feels so wrong
I feel you man, that one really hurt. Relapse in its entirety is so incredibly underrated and i hate the narrative of "AlL tHe aCcEnTs" when most people don't even know it's a concept album. Deja Vu over The Monster has to go down as one of the worst takes ever heard in one of these Hivemind brackets
One of my favourite songs from him ever for sure. They just kinda scoffed at the hook which I get could definitely be hit or miss, but must be sleeping big time on the verses
I think bad guy on MMLP2 deserved a spot on the bracket. I think it's a great continuation of stan and it's one of the last times I remember eminem sounding hungry or like he actually had something to say. Plus he's probably more self aware in that song that anything post mmlp2
Gotta say, Riley saying the last line of Stan was corny and then suggesting the goofiest most corny line ever uttered to replace it was a real highlight of the bracket
I'm ngl some of these takes were incredibly rare but big Hivemind L's I could not imagine hating on No Love 😭 Also Deja Vu is an incredible song but a lot of that has to do with how it ties into the concept for Relapse, as an indivual song I know why someone isn't going to it much Also the only album where he's hating on the new gen is Kamikaze
I've literally watched Lu from NFR podcast hate on an Eminem song because of one word, and these guys are kinda doing the same. Oldhead Em fans can be the worst. Still love NFR tho
@@Kiki-xx3fj oh yeah I love NFR and have started loving Hivemind but some of their "new Em" takes are questionable lol Like I won't deny his older music is better but he's still making good music in the modern era too (with the exception of Revival) I will say though NFR is usually pretty chill with new Em, the only questionable take from them is their take on MTBMB but they liked Relapse, Recovery, MMLP2, and Kamikaze, so they still do genuinely enjoy him it seems
@@cifxr No Love is fucking awesome bro, that Wayne verse as well as the Em verse is so good, it's legit one of my favorite Wayne verses ever, and one of if not my all time favorite collab ever, it's awesome

Deja Vu is my favorite eminem song lol, but thats partially tied into the fact that i listened to it a lot when i myself was struggling with drug abuse
Ain’t no one ever talk about how good “Stay wide awake” actually is. That album lo key has sone amazing moments that honestly kinda put it top 3 three for me
I have a hard time finding another song by Em with better rapping, technically speaking, than Stay Wide Awake. He is in SUCH a pocket on the last verse. That flow in those opening bars, "better try to stay wide awake or you might end up found dead by the lake, soon as you lay me down to sleep bitch your soul imma try to take," is unmatched. Dude is floating on that beat
Stay wide awake goes so hard, I love the flow, rhyme schemes and revving synths in the production. Definitely one of my favorite Eminem songs. Im kinda mad that it got out in the first round so easily for them, but I understand Relapse isn't for everyone, even though it's my favorite Eminem album. I wish they included Same song & Dance and maybe 3 a:m with those 2 being some of my favorites too
I listen to Eminem every day. There is seriously very few songs outside of the revival album I hate. Like Cinderella Man… that shit goes hard any day of the week
5 minutes in and you have already eliminated Deja Vu with Riley saying that THE MONSTER is a better song (Deja Vu is arguably the best song on the most criminally underrated Eminem album)
Picking Without Me over Stan is the quintessential Fantano "If You Want" moment 😂 I literally said "if you want" out loud - as y'all said, most people would say Stan - but I TOTALLY understand picking Without Me. I respect that. A genuine "If you want" moment
The Way I am out in the 1st round is the classic outrageous Hivemind pick that triggers me every video I watch from them Great entertaining nevertheless!
The fact that Mosh isn’t on here amongst the other songs from Encore feels as personal as the time that Dignan bought all my groceries at Safeway the other day because I forgot my wallet but stole my cart in the parking lot because it was “rightfully his”. My family is thankful for the life lesson of trusting others and how to process the feeling of failure.
Heck yes! Finally The Eminem bracket. Many shockers though. I definitely would’ve had Till I collapse and Lose Yourself in the final four. There is something earth shattering about those two songs. They have the like top two most memorable and iconic openings of an eminem song. Lose yourself with Mom’a spaghetti that and that great Rhyming and Till I Collapse with that huge motivation to not give up. Both have that motivation to it. I would’ve be really curious to see those go against each other. Also Till I collapse had that insane iconic verse where Em lists his favorite rappers of all time and puts himself last. But Without Me is a great choice! Excellent song! Definitely a hip hip classic and great energy in that song. His personality really comes out great in that one. While his new stuff is so much less desirable, he has many amazing classic hits and it was good to see you had so many go far. My prediction a while ago was Stan winning since you guys tend to pick slower more heartfelt songs winning your brackets like singabout me in kendrick.
i can't believe that graydon managed to spell out "king gizzard and the lizard wizard song bracket coming next month" by blinking morse code throughout the video. very cool!
You guys should do 2Pac next. Also an amazing rapper and what an impact he had on hip hop culture and the community. Literally the face of rap. What a catalog he had with those crazy albums like Strictly for my…, Me Against the World and All Eyez on Me, and all those posthumous albums after he passed that have lots of hits. Hits like Ambitionz as a Ridah, California Love, Changes, How do You Want It, Dear Mama, I get Around, Keep Ya Head Up, Hit Em Up, So Many Tears, and Hail Mary, Can’t C Me. Man those were some of the most remembered and best classic of all time.
I've been listening to Eminem for 13 years now, and I strongly disagreed with most of the choices. Also I'm sad "Marshall Mathers" was not included in the list, It is one of my favourites.
I mean they literally put Godzilla over remember me with almost no consideration. Like some of the first choices I agree with but after that it went really bad
The fact that they threw "Beautiful" in the trash without even acknowledging the subtle production reference to DJ Shadow's seminal "Midnight In A Perfect World" (one of if noit the best hiphop instrumentals of all time) absolutely floored me.
"the murders I'm not condoning... But the drugs I'm not condoning either." Absolutely killed me. Thanks guys Dignan killed my family a few weeks ago and then massacred all my friends just to show he can
Finally someone, this song will always stay criminally underated and unknow masterpiece , I think it's better than Stan and that last verse just ......... It always gives me goosebumps
the first two songs that come to mind that could've been added to this bracket are Bad Guy off MMLP2 and Darkness of MTMB (which I think is his best song since MMLP2 honestly)
I agree with a lot of the decisions on this video, but most of the songs they hate, I love. Cinderella Man is like a anthem, fast lane is one of my favorite em songs of all time. Venom is overplayed, but not bad, toy soldiers is better than beautiful, but beautiful is SUCH a good song. And rap god is WAY overplayed, but it really leaves a "bad taste?" I feel some of ems songs were critiqued unfairly fr
Bad guy still remains an unknown and criminally underated masterpiece, it's an awesome continuation of stan and (dear I say even better than Stan) the story telling in the first half of the song and the last verse that basically him dissing himself, being vounrable and critical of himself and the self introspection ، self awareness and the haunting orchestral beat and overall how cinematic the song feels makes it a fucking masterpiece . Honestly The whole MMLP2 album is criminally underated and it's his last great project.
Deja Vu has some of the best lines in rap. Can’t have it lose in the first round. “As I fall deeper into a manic state, I’m a prime candidate for the gene to receive the drug addict trait.” 🔥
Self awareness? People tend to forget Marshall Mathers was the man of the house as a young child, he was beaten into a coma at 9 years old, got custody of his his step brother, adopted Kim's sister's little girl, adopted Kim's child from a different relationship, lost his best friend, fell down the drug rabbit hole, overdosed and had to re-learn to talk and rap. The man is a hero, even without his musical genius.
i think one of the things that is so great about hailie's song is the "bad" singing. also cant believe ricky ticky toc or marshall mathers werent on here. probably shouldve been a bigger bracket considering his catalogue.
Thats exactly what makes Hailies song special. Song written for his daughter showing his love and trying his first time pure singing which isnt bad and pretty catchy and emotional.
You either don't like hip hop that much, or simply have not listened to his first 4 albums in their entirety. Opinion is opinion, but to call that your favorite Eminem song tells me one of those two explanations is true FOR SURE.
@@veganbeef1705 encore is his 5th album though, plus it still has like a couple classics like mockingbird and like toy soldiers, as well as stuff like just lose it which is fun
For whoever cares 10. Bully (benzino & ja rule diss) 9. His verse on patiently waiting 8. Crazy in Love 7. Evil Deeds 6. Square Dance 5. Hailies Song 4. Mosh 3. Til I Collapse 2. When I’m Gone 1. Mockingbird I deeply connect with the cords and keys of the instrumentals of the emotional cuts above, his tonality on all of these are my favorite version of his voice and delivery. Mockingbird & When I’m gone rip my heart out personally and haven’t lost their profundity after 12 years of heavy rotation. Maybe I got daddy issues or just really want to become a good father myself, or just heavily relate to the complicated nature of protecting and providing while also being your own person with your own dreams and goals. And the harmony in the hook of Hailies Song is one of my favorite musical moments ever to be honest. Yeeeeees I know it can be perceived as corny, but idk maybe I’m the target demo bc it really fucking hits. I always skip the verse tho. And yea it may be corny but it’s who I am
Very interesting. 1 Stan 2 till I collapse 3 say goodbye to Hollywood 4 if I had 5 brain damage 6 who knew 7 mockingbird 8 without me 9 8 mile 10 lose yourself
Damn bro 3 of the songs your stanning are pretty low tier on my list personally Goes to show how wildly varied he is with still a very definable 'feel'
Not gonna lie. Eminem’s best song and probably a top 10 hiphop song ever getting eliminated in the first round is insane. Especially to The Monster like what in gods earth…
They've talked about this before. Neither of them are heavy into Mac. They said they would have to go over his discography a few times so it'll take a while.
I still think that Relapse is super underrated, that album has some of the best lyrics and most fun insane shit that Eminem ever put to a record, and if you're willing to engage with the "accents" he does so much interesting shit using them. His last great album, easy.
I really like Riley's commitment to the acting as Eminem bit, it's Graydon who leans into bits like that more and it was awesome to see Riley playing a character like that. Love ur stuff guys :) I woulda had stan over without me but both are greats.
i liked more when eminem just shows his freestyle genius while rapping super quick but just seeing some of these more narrative songs and basically the story of his life not only scares me (dont ask how), but just made me appreciate that era of songs wayyy more
I would argue that Shake That is one of the few Eminem songs you could get away with playing in a large group setting, my one buddy absolutely hates Eminem but knows the power that song and Smack That have on the people.

Mac Miller’s discog is perfect for a Bracket. It’s so diverse and expansive.
Yes would love this vid
YES
YEA
I’m so invested in his discog I will end up screaming at my computer
spitting he's the goat
I think they tried really hard to piss everyone off with this one. It worked for me 🤝
I agree. Nobody blasts Em in their car anymore? Um, I DO.
It did the job for me, and now I have to follow them.
I'm halfway thru first round, every choice is the wrong one. IT IS 50 50 HOW ARE YOU SO BAD
Yeah almost every opinion pissed me off for many reasons that made my blood boil
I respected most of their opinions until “Rap God” lost to “Kim.” Then I read the comments and realized just how unpopular “Rap God” was aaaaand I’ll be over here shutting up.
My favorite is Stan. The storytelling and flow is amazing. It is more relaxed as well in tempo which gives it a nice feeling.
i would love to see an MF DOOM bracket, you guys haven’t mentioned him much except for once recently and I would love to see more representation for this legend
FACTS! I also suggested this
It's time they faced DOOM
yeah from the sound of it they haven't dove into DOOM too much, i would love for them to go through his discog and do a bracket. so many amazing choices though, it'd be so hard to pick the winner.
i’d wanna see this
Agreed
Surprised how emotional invested im in this. I’m actually mad at you guys 😂
This is my first time watching them and I got upset with them too. I love everything Em does.
Yeah i just randomly got this shit in my feed and im bout to chuck a chair across the room XD
the way they said Eminem looked like an asshole when they talk about killshot is so funny. they do not know the backstory of what happened and what the real reason is that killshot got created. they clearly do not know the origins of the song so they should not rate it at all
@@hatchigo2728I think they were being sarcastic about that point in particular, I mean they compared MGK to a high school ball player lol
@@frances11593Fr
This feels like an Eminem tier list by people who hate Eminem.
Literally… they don’t like Eminem at all or actually listen to any of his music. It’s truly an embarrassing video.
@@obfuscationx5690I turned it off at the second round.
I'd love to see a ASAP Rocky bracket
I think a pre-2000 rap bracket would be dope, although mentioning pac and biggie may be tough for Graydon as he wrestles mentally with what he did to the both of them! Love the content as always
Cinderella Man is insane how do they not like it? Also The Way I Am is literally the best song on the MM LP I don't understand how it lost first round??? Without Me is definitely my favorite Eminem song though
Tbf the way I am was up another great Eminem song
the way i am lost because rock bottom is one of the like 7 songs that are better
Eminem slander is insane I’ll argue this whole bracket anyday of the week.
I completely agree
Yeah, I kinda felt like they really don't care much for him and were mostly making fun of him. This is my first time watching these guys and I got a little tired of hearing their critical comments. I'd like to see them do better. Eminem is fucking brilliant. And way too many songs were missing from this bracket.
@@frances11593 of course way too many songs were missing from the bracket, they've always done 64 for each bracket so it would be weird to do 128 or 256 just for eminem
@@frances11593 they picked My fault over Sing for the moment. i really am not taking anything they said after that seriously at all.
You should do a top 8 songs from each bracket you've done and make it a new bracket video
Love this idea. The top songs from every bracket against each other.
YES!!!
When I'm gone going out first round is crazy
I KNOWWW
Brain Damage is a better song tho
Bob Dylan bracket. Let my man Graydon have his moment.
knowing absolutely zero about Bob Dylan i'd love this
yes
I feel like they have the wrong audience for this, but I would be so down. I think the part where Bob Dylan laughs should win
Visions of Johanna top 4
Honestly I like their channel mostly for their comedic timing and personalities but I almost always disagree with their musical opinions lmao
Yeah that is an absolutely insane call, one of worst ever
I feel you man, that one really hurt. Relapse in its entirety is so incredibly underrated and i hate the narrative of "AlL tHe aCcEnTs" when most people don't even know it's a concept album. Deja Vu over The Monster has to go down as one of the worst takes ever heard in one of these Hivemind brackets
One of my favourite songs from him ever for sure. They just kinda scoffed at the hook which I get could definitely be hit or miss, but must be sleeping big time on the verses
was looking for this glad ppl agree
I cant believe Square dance and soldier were dismissed so quickly. Maybe i have bad taste but square dance is in my top 5
Me too, I dont really understand this bracket😅
A whole bracket about m&ms??? Heck how many flavours are there??

I’m so happy about the drug ballad love, his most underrated song imo. That chorus is great and the first verse is arguably his best flow of all time
I know that song doesn’t get talked about enough
criminal last flow > drug ballad first flow
Drug ballad is such a vibe 😊
Imo its his best song
The keys on that song are like crack to me I love the production of that track
I think bad guy on MMLP2 deserved a spot on the bracket. I think it's a great continuation of stan and it's one of the last times I remember eminem sounding hungry or like he actually had something to say. Plus he's probably more self aware in that song that anything post mmlp2

the first eminem song i ever heard
@@moonl1314first Eminem song most people have heard

I could not imagine hating on No Love 😭
Also Deja Vu is an incredible song but a lot of that has to do with how it ties into the concept for Relapse, as an indivual song I know why someone isn't going to it much
Also the only album where he's hating on the new gen is Kamikaze
I've literally watched Lu from NFR podcast hate on an Eminem song because of one word, and these guys are kinda doing the same. Oldhead Em fans can be the worst. Still love NFR tho
Finally someone talking about No Love. Em’s verse on that track was insane. They only played the sample in the video, sad.
@@Kiki-xx3fj oh yeah I love NFR and have started loving Hivemind but some of their "new Em" takes are questionable lol
Like I won't deny his older music is better but he's still making good music in the modern era too (with the exception of Revival)
I will say though NFR is usually pretty chill with new Em, the only questionable take from them is their take on MTBMB but they liked Relapse, Recovery, MMLP2, and Kamikaze, so they still do genuinely enjoy him it seems

Ain’t no one ever talk about how good “Stay wide awake” actually is. That album lo key has sone amazing moments that honestly kinda put it top 3 three for me
Insane rapping maybe the best ever in that third verse
Relapse is probably my favorite album from him, followed by the Marshall Mathers LP then Slim Shady LP.
@@bottlecap6169agreed
I wish they included Same song & Dance and maybe 3 a:m with those 2 being some of my favorites too
I think a diss track bracket list would be a nice bracket to do
hit ‘em up bt tupac would win obviously

Picking Without Me over Stan is the quintessential Fantano "If You Want" moment 😂 I literally said "if you want" out loud - as y'all said, most people would say Stan - but I TOTALLY understand picking Without Me. I respect that. A genuine "If you want" moment
The Way I am out in the 1st round is the classic outrageous Hivemind pick that triggers me every video I watch from them
Great entertaining nevertheless!
well yeah that was heartbreaking, but rock bottom is a better song

@@shivanshdubby it’s a super hard pick, both are super well written. I like rock bottom more but I think it’s partly nostalgia

A** Like That being out in the first round is insane though.
My prediction a while ago was Stan winning since you guys tend to pick slower more heartfelt songs winning your brackets like singabout me in kendrick.

i can't believe that graydon managed to spell out "king gizzard and the lizard wizard song bracket coming next month" by blinking morse code throughout the video. very cool!

Unfortunate that darkness didnt make the bracket. Definitely the best eminem song in the past few years.
