Alex based the height difference back when his twin sister, was taller than him for a while, until middle school, and Alex had a growth spurt become twice his size. I had friends who are younger than me but were taller than me, then during Year 8, I had a growth spurt which I think I am the same height since, either mid - late 5 ft. It is confirm the journals are volumes that the unknown author experienced, journal 2 has curses, and journal 3 about creatures, journal 1 has yet to be revealed but maybe it has the geography of the town. I don't think you noticed it but maybe your editing self did, Soos made a "Help Soos" sign out of the shards.(Unless someone else was editing!)

Like I said I was also annoyed with how Mabel treated Dipper at first and while the explination doesn't make it right it does put Mabel's side of the story in different context espessially considering they are 12. Also in that episode the time travelers pig I was really proud and admire Dipper for what he did at the end. But I don't really see it as simple as choosing between Dipper's relationship and Mabel's pig; I see it more of Dipper needing to fix something he shouldn't have been using a stolen time machine for in the first place. Granted Mabel was just as guilty.

the reason Soos can see Dipper's extra milometer is because he actually a strange breing from an extra dimension... he's a part of the triangle guy that was a being split apart in the ancient wars of the sea gods... that's why the triangle guy is evil and Soos is nice, he's the triangle guy's good side. once they are rejoined he will be a benevolent god.

There was a moment when Dipper traveled a month into the future using the time device, while Mabel stood in place bonking her head against the totem pole, depressed over her loss of Waddles, *for an entire month*. Because Dipper traveled forward in time instantaneously and Mabel didn't, she is now exactly one month older than Dipper, and hence one millimeter taller. I don't think they ever explicitly explain this in the show, but it's a pretty cool little bit of continuity.
I thought Dipper went back one last time (without depressed-Mabel) in order to restore the Mabel-gets-Waddles timeline, thus cosmic-retconning depressed-Mabel out of existence. If I'm right about that, then Dipper should indeed be slightly older than fixed-timeline-Mabel (despite Mabel having been canonically born five minutes before Dipper).
She isn't, remember Dipper went back in time one last time to undo all of it so she could get Waddles. They are still the same age. She is only 5 minutes older by birth.

I'm really sorry there's nothing I can physically do, thats the maximum volume setting on my laptop. Not really, if anything, that was one of her worst moments. Yes, she was trying to free mermando, but acted without thinking, lying to Dipper, stealing, assaulting, causing sensless chase where Mermando got killed, forcing Dipper to do CPR against his will, and then getting him fired, and instead of, you know, thanking him or coming to defend him and admit her blame in the matter to his boss, she just laughs at him for "sharing their first kiss", and leaves, leaving Dipper to clean up after her mess, as he gets screamed at and fired over something she did. She had good intentions, but her actions were just wrong and she was the one who created the entire mess through that episode.
Mabel is lying about Dipper. WE SAW them playing chess. He does NOT rub it in that he is better. Mabel just loses and is bitter do she interprets his winning as rubbing it in. Just another instance of Mabel being an entitled brat and Dipper sacrificing for her.
Really? I noticed a lot of hate for her appeared when season 2 aired. Funny enough tho, I wasn’t too into Mabel until s2 cuz they never really focused on her flaws until then. Entirely agree, they try to portray Dipper as a jerk for something he really never did in the entire show, but then they actually give Mabel a free pass to tease him endlessly. So in the writers' eyes, teasing is okay as long as only Dipper is the butt of the joke, and if he gets offended, it's his fault, but if Mabel gets offended, then Dipper is the jerk? I never understood that. Also, like you said, Mabel has been showed to be awsome and great at many things from the start.

Not really, if anything, that was one of her worst moments. Yes, she was trying to free mermando, but acted without thinking, lying to Dipper, stealing, assaulting, causing sensless chase where Mermando got killed, forcing Dipper to do CPR against his will, and then getting him fired, and instead of, you know, thanking him or coming to defend him and admit her blame in the matter to his boss, she just laughs at him for "sharing their first kiss", and leaves, leaving Dipper to clean up after her mess, as he gets screamed at and fired over something she did. She had good intentions, but her actions were just wrong and she was the one who created the entire mess through that episode.

Mabel is lying about Dipper. WE SAW them playing chess. He does NOT rub it in that he is better. Mabel just loses and is bitter do she interprets his winning as rubbing it in. Just another instance of Mabel being an entitled brat and Dipper sacrificing for her.

Rewatching these episodes again reminds me why a lot of people didn't like Mabel's character.
Really? I noticed a lot of hate for her appeared when season 2 aired. Funny enough tho, I wasn’t too into Mabel until s2 cuz they never really focused on her flaws until then.
And no, I don’t think she did anything actually seriously wrong until season 2. Dipper just gets too much of the benefit of the doubt cuz he gets picked apart in both seasons. Didn’t do either any favor
This episode works a bit weird to me with the whole 'I am a complete prick to you because you so happened to be better than me. And I will pretend you were always a prick to me about this even though the episode this whole thing was introduced in didn't bother to show you being a prick once'. But like, Mabel is good at things!! She is an artist, she made a whole statue! And some spoilers later too!!
Entirely agree, they try to portray Dipper as a jerk for something he really never did in the entire show, but then they actually give Mabel a free pass to tease him endlessly. So in the writers' eyes, teasing is okay as long as only Dipper is the butt of the joke, and if he gets offended, it's his fault, but if Mabel gets offended, then Dipper is the jerk? I never understood that. Also, like you said, Mabel has been showed to be awsome and great at many things from the start.

It ignores any wrongdoing she commits, and the little times they do call her out, they either bend the narrative backwards to place her in the right (The Love God) or they make sure it's a villain or an antagonist calling her out to give no validation to those proclaims (Sock Opera, The Last Mabelcorn).

The guy is a creep and she dodged a bullet, so she doesn't loose anything again. The unicorn? Made her into a jerk, so Mabel forcing her goodness on others is okay actually.
@@DeathKitta EXACTLY! Bill might be manipulating them, but the perfect way to manipulate people is by using the truth against them, and that's what happened. Had Bill been lying about it and not being true, Dipper would have never given in, and Mabel wouldn't have doubted. And yes, the fact that even the ONLY time seems ready to give up something for Dipper for once, nope, the writers have to turn it into a dodged bullet so that she loses nothing and it turns out to be benefitial for her, when they never softened the blow for Dipper whenever he lost something. The unicorn is the exact same thing, it was a jerk, yes, but made actually good points, you have to be good because it's a good thing, not to look better. Mabel has good intentions, and that's great, but her intentions do not justify her actions, specially when she puts people in danger or hurts them in the process.

I get that mabel isn't used to winning, but dipper hasn't been shown to relentlessly mock her for it the way she did his height
Also, feels quite hypocritical that she is constantly teasing him and messing with him even after he tells her constantly that it hurts him and just keeps going, but one time that Dipper wins her in a game she's not even paying attention at, she gets defensive and acts like if Dipper was the jerk for it.
