What's interesting about Gideon is he's meant to be the exact opposite of Dipper. While Dipper utilizes the journal to learn things and solve mysteries, Gideon uses his for his own personal gain. Also, Dipper is very kind and timid, whereas Gideon has the audacity to yell at his parents and treat them like crap

I find it so interesting how media has portrayed certain relationships as the norm, to where now a husband and wife in a loving relationship or a brother and sister actually liking each other are considered “unusual.” And that’s mostly because having two characters in a healthy relationship is just harder to write.
Point of notice, it was pointed out in journal 3 that the amulet Gideon was using in his first episode is the reason for both his white hair and how he acts. As it corrupts one's soul the more you use it. He may have ended up as a brat without it still, but he wouldn't be this axe-crazy.
They do have a good sibling relationship, and honestly, it's not surprising, since Alex Hirsch basically based it on the one he has his with real life twin sister, Ariel.
As an identical twin, this episode spoke to me. You always want to be taller since it seems to have power within the two of you, it’s just the way it works for some reason!
I LIKE this episode, it's a good episode but Stan and Mabel bullying dipper is just hard to watch, my sisters bully me all the time so that one just gets me on a personal level

I bully my brother but I do it out of love because telling people how you feel is way harder then beating them up. Although my brother doesn’t mind because he knows why I do it plus he does the same thing back. My point is maybe your sisters are showing affection by doing the opposite. Trust me it’s a thing.
