i really hate these scenes where they blamed the heroines when the heroes were injured... the prince was clearly attacked and injured by the enemy but why blame Wei Young... i could understand her feelings as a mother but blaming her is such a foolishness.... i just don't understand how these nobles and royals think...from the queen to the concubines...to the noble families...they claimed they were of higher educations in all but their minds are nothing better than a commoner 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exactly! That really had me laughing a little too hard, especially considering when he’s all of a sudden not doing well they call for her to help him. Make up your mind is she is a savior or is she just playing tricks 😂
For one thing, his mother is practically hysterical because he's been injured. She's not thinking straight. But she's not entirely wrong-- the reason he got shot is because he was there, and the reason he was there is because he specifically broke out of the emperor's grounding him to go save Weiyoung from being married off. He's gotten himself in trouble a lot recently because of his love for Weiyoung. That's not Weiyoung's fault, but it's not entirely unreasonable to say it's because of her.

@@duxillinois1989 Like I said, she was nearly hysterical and not thinking straight. But also, prior to this, he 1) made his grandfather, the EMPEROR, angry by repeatedly begging him not send Weiyoung for the treaty, 2) literally walked into the flight path of the soldiers' archery training to talk to his grandfather about the same thing AGAIN, 3) was grounded by his grandfather who loves him very much but was running out of patience, 4) broke out of his grounding in defiance of the emperor to go after Weiyoung, which is also how he got directly involved in the war, and 5) ultimately got injured when he was ambushed while being there for all the aforementioned reasons. It's not unreasonable for his mother to misdirect her anger at Weiyoung because she is, after all, the one constant in all of this. Adding to all of that, according to social status, she isn't good enough for him, and his mother has favored Changle for years. You also have to keep in mind, the late Crown Prince was imprisoned for treason and died in jail. Tuoba Jun is her only child. He may be favored by the emperor, but so was his dad, and that didn't keep him alive. She wants her son to be happy, but more than that, she wants him to SURVIVE, and in her eyes, Weiyoung is currently his biggest obstacle to doing that.

I'm just talking about the scene where she blamed Wei Young rather than letting her injured son inside to be treated immediately...how weird it is for her to have time to blame Wei Young and recalled all the moments his son was in danger when she's not in her senses because she is in shock or hysterical....😂😂😂... if we are to talk about the whole story, the mother doesn't know anything about what's going on and yet she blamed Wei Young as soon as she got out of the house..she know he was ambushed yet she doesn't know that Wei Young scorted him back safely just as the king said... Wei Young knew about the Prince condition yet the mothe had no idea about it ..
Sneaking, wicked uncles will go to every extreme to kill each others. The mother is very gullible and love listening to gossip. But she love her son very much ❤❤❤

I think the translation is slightly off here? If I'm remembering correctly, Weiyoung is in no way considered royalty at this point.
No the translation is right. The physician refers to her as “安平公主.” ”公主” or “gong zhu” means princess. I haven’t see the drama in its entirety, so I don’t know if it’s a continuity error, but the translation is correct. He definitely calls her a princess in this clip
@@BreakofDawn Spoiler alert, but I'll say it anyway. Her status is raised by the Emperor to 'Lady Of Anping'. I think this means she is of a low princess rank. Also, servants in dramas don't usually tend to focus on the details of things. I've seen them refer to a concubine the same as a main wife, translated as 'Mistress' (but I hear what sounds like 'Furen' meaning first/primary wife). So yeah, they don't need to use her formalized title or ranking in what is an emergency situation! I do suggest seeing the drama in its entirety (or at least adding it to your evergrowing long list of dramas to watch!). There are some interesting points, and for some clips it makes things less confusing!

According to these dramas, chinese woman have no self steam or dignity. This alledged lover paddle flogged her and stills love? Then she gets all kind of framing and stills remains there? In a perfect world with a person with dignity she should had gone 3 thousand miles away from all of them. Ending up being a queen by leaving all dignity and her skin alone the way. Is it worth it ? Is not thhis drama alone most of them : China dramas the woman is poor or becomes a servant. He is mostl of the time the rich .
Or the most used cliche she likes him and become a stalker and pest him to death until becomes love. Go figure difeferent culture 300 years back mentallity.

Remember most of these dramas are based on history. That’s how things were done before. It’s history
Not sure if you've watched the drama before but that literally isn't the case here. Wei Young is 1, his friend above all else, even if she does love him; 2, is framed by her "sister" who not only wants to get in good with the prince, but who wants to get rid of her altogether- the mother tried to have her killed even before she arrived at the house; 3, hasn't left because she is there trying to get in well enough with the king so that he will believe her and help her people and avenge the death of her family. She has a great amount of dignity and is incredibly intelligent, which you would know if you actually watched the show. The clips don't give nearly enough of the whole story.
They say the road to the throne is paved with blood... Compared to that, a 'few wacks' isn't all that bad! (Yes, I'm aware I'm being totally flippant, and this is from someone who hasn't and who doesn't dare try to experience it!).

So the moral of the story from cdramas have medical skills or have the evil girl commit very very evil deeds so the mother in law would like you otherwise good luck 🙄
Not just medical skills, but be a Harvard graduate DOCTOR working at a super big and important hospital, saving 'important to the MIL' people (not just the general public)'s lives, AND be the female lead! (And coming from a rich background, but I think that one isn't specifically cdramas only!). This is just in my humble personal experience as a cdrama addict.
