Picked up those earplugs -- not the least because I'll be flying in a bit and like to wear earplugs on planes. Which reminds me of the only strange travel advice I have for anyone traveling with a simple system flute (a 19th century style flute most often used nowdays in Irish folk music). These flutes don't fit in standard flute cases, so we usually use ... um ... plastic pistol cases for them. That's a guaranteed way to get pulled aside and swabbed if you take it on a plane. 🤣 I highly recommend putting a sticker on the outside of the case that says "THIS IS AN IRISH FLUTE" in very large letters.
I remember when you first discussed your plastic folder for sheet music, I couldn’t find one like it but I found a legal document holder on Amazon that I absolutely love. It holds those large card stock music folders you get from school groups or the music store.
Oh and I saw an ad recently that Loop is selling a lanyard thing for their plugs now, which is great. The main reason I don’t wear them to rock shows is they are so dang easy to drop and lose. I use Etymotic Research plugs for rock concerts
The Hello Kitty bag and flute stand immediately took my mind to a super old video where you introduced the flute stand and its various *pegs* including your favourite which was the *telescoping peg*. Yes ikik I’m a loyal fan and I’m also aware that my brain remembers strange things 😂😂😂
Jo I also use the Loop Experience plugs, but I bought a second pair of regular Loops and lost the entire pair before even getting to use them! I think it became a cat toy 😢
omg last week I just saw someone a few seats away do exactly this 3:35 at rehearsal and my seatmate and I almost had a heart attack. now I know it was that case LOL
I have never traveled with my instruments before which I would like to do someday also, I’ve never traveled in my life, which I would like to do soon I had a place to travel to. I would like to go to Thailand or China.
Can anyone else speak to how important it is to have proof that you own your flute? One of mine is second-hand and I do not have any sort of documentation at all… the other one I could probably dig up an email for
Honestly I find it only important if you are crossing country borders. Better to be able to prove that you own the instrument and it's for yourself than to try to explain that you're not trying to import it without paying import duties!

Oh yes, the good Hercules flute stands one of my favorite. I also have a Hercules alto flute stand.
They have a really good low brass one too. And by “ they,” I mean myself 😊

Omg that's from the "Back to school: Music Gadgets" video! That's my favorite video from Joanna!❤

Could you do a more in depth video on TE tuner please?

It gives me the same fear I get at Dairy Queen when they turn the blizzard over.
