Hello everyone! Just a couple of corrections and clarifications from Bryton I wanted to share: 1. You can still begin a route once an activity has started if you use the phone app. Certainly nice to know you can do that, rather than ending the activity and re-starting it after loading a route. Nonetheless, you still need to stop and pull out your phone which is not a great user experience. 2. People with Australian accents might find better results from the voice search by changing the language to "English (Australian)" - I'll have to give this some testing to confirm. 3. Re-routing will happen with routes created with voice search or address search through the Bryton system. My testing used routes created in third-party apps, and it doesn't seem like you get re-routing when the course is created outside of the Bryton system. Hope that helps!

Ride Adelaide somewhere with great riding, nature at our doorstep. Which is (almost) everywhere 😂There’s so many cool places. Room for a mini-homestead where g/f can grow her veggies and a cave for me to wrench on bikes. And a big-ass chef’s kitchen in the middle. Maybe build an Earthship. 🙏🏻 We loved the hills (Stirling and surrounds), also loved Mitcham and suburbs out that way, Barossa towns, McLaren area... very hard to narrow it down. I’ll email you my mob. number through Velocita. If you can spare a few min would be cool to chat, and maybe tee up a ride when we’re next there - hopefully in the next month
Totally interesting bike computer and I honestly think people should at least consider this one. I’ve stuffed this on a garmin mount and even gone mountain biking. (Not that I’d suggest it). I think price might be the biggest attraction here but there’s so many great bike computers on the market right now. Amazing review! 👏
Thanks for that nice feedback Matt! Big agreement from me that the Rider 750 has a lot going for it, as most GPS units seem to nowadays. I reckon DCRainmaker put it best when he said: "But as has been the case for the last 1-2 years, most decisions on Wahoo vs Garmin tend to be more like political discussions than anything. It’s the sports tech equivalent of iOS vs Android." I get to use enough units to see quality across many brands and prices but holy moly people get riled up about GPS units!
You have not picked up some issues of this Rider 750. 1. When your speed reduces to 7-8km/h (up the steep hill) the unit pauses and resumes working only when you increase the speed. 2. You sometimes go up the hill and it shows the gradient = 0 or nothing at all. Comparing to a Garmin computer, the gradient values are much smaller. 3. You must remember that the displayed temperature is approximately 2 degrees less than it really is.
Thanks for another great review. I currently use the Giant Neostrack, which I purchased based on your review for the ridiculously low sale price of $95 USD. I have been more than pleased with the functions of the Neostrack but want to upgrade to a unit with better maps and radar integration. Your review of the 750 has influenced my decision to buy it. Seems that there would be little to no learning curve for me to upgrade to the 750 from the Neostrack as they seem very similarr in setup and ecosystem. Is that a fair assumption? Thanks again for all your reviews. I enjoy watching your channel greatly.
Update. I now have the 750 in hand and used it over the past few days and I absolutely love it. I have no experience with either Garmin or Wahoo so I have no point of reference to compare, but in comparison to my Neostrack the 750 is a huge game changer for me. Love the maps and the companion app made setup such an ease. Thanks again for your reviews.
I don't know why but they have removed the gradient analytics from the app. It was very useful, I think it showed Max Gradient, average gradient and something else. Now it is gone!
The *other* ecosystem to consider is one’s fleet of bikes. With a family stable of 10 (!) bikes, we’d be in the poorhouse if we couldn’t swap Bryton Riders 330, 530, and 450 from one bike to another. The 750 may be our next one...
Why did you call out the new Wahoo Elemnt Bolt v2's (accurate) 15 hour battery life by stating that this Bryton has 20 hours... when in this video about that Byrton you acknowledge that it's more like 15 hours in real-life situation? A little consistency in your analysis would be appreciated.
It is readable enough when you have the backlight on. It's very similar to the Edge 830 which is also quite reflective. In my experience all touch screen GPS units are harder to read than units without touch screens.
Good video.. I'm new j the world of bike GPS so my incoming question may sound stupid af, but I'll shoot anyway: how is a bike dedicated GPS like this one better than a combination of free apps like google maps for cycling + strava?

I hope mine will turn out great and updates since you made this vid and when I got it have fixed some of the software side problems.
Avoid. No product support whatsoever and it truly NEEDS it !. The app is useless too. Mine is now back in the box.

i use my bryton computer in a kedge garmin mount pretty decently n=1 but very happy.

Is the unit Readable a heard that there is a lot of glare on it ? How it compare to garmin on this Point ?

Battery life and (in combation with) emergency calls of other phone uses. Ability to add sensors (cadance, power, heart rate).
