Believe it or not, the one you say must be the leader is actually thwe Maknae (youngest in the group.) The leader is Solar, the one boxing in HIP. The rapper is Moonbyul who writes all her raps and some songs and is the most credited female in kpop. The one in HIP, who is seen painting, is Wheein. Her vocals are, as some have said, smooth as honey in her falsetto and head voice.
I've seen your Exo reactions therefore know you'll like Mamamoo. Both groups are considered Vocal Kings and Queens of kpop. I saw then back in May in Ft. Worth and was blown away. Sometimes Mamamoo sounds even better live. The Egotistic MV is really good and hope you watch it . Suggestion to watch are Mamamoo Killing Voice, as well as the Immortal Song Medley. One thing I like about them is their more mature vibe These are grown women and they are killing it. 2 are 29.

Can you Believe there are people who think the members in Mamamoo are not pretty? Hwasa especially has received a lot of criticism for not fitting Korean beauty standards. People even petitioned to have her thrown out of the group. This people must be blind because Mamamoo members are good looking. Like Exo, they have visuals and vocals.

Mamamoo have amazing vocals and you're right, they do got that confidence. You can already see that their choreo is more mature and sensual, which I enjoy more than some other groups where the choreo is more cute and cheerleader. I recommend checking out their MVs for Egotistic and Aya... And Hwasa's solos Maria and I'm a B.

I was there in Chicago! Waited for 4 years to see my queens Mamamoo live! It’s one of my happiest moments of my life, that’s how much I love them.

That was a cool random selection of Mamamoo videos. Too bad you missed them when Mamamoo was in Atlanta during their first US tour earlier this year. I saw the first two shows in NY and Baltimore and they kicked ass, as expected. They joined TLC and the Spice Girls as the only girl groups to sell over 70K tickets on their debut US tour. Their live shows are legendary and before the pandemic their concerts often ran over 4 hours long. Hope they come back and you get a chance to see them but don't hold your breath - Mamamoo has been around since 2014 so it was a long wait and there's no guarantee they'll be back.
Hwasa is definitely a superstar but she's actually the youngest member of Mamamoo. Their leader is Solar, the one who played the boxer and had the two-toned hair during Hip. Each member of Mamamoo has a successful solo career, esp Hwasa, who has released several chart topping songs and is sometimes called the Queen of Queens. MMM are considered to be the vocal queens of kpop and in S Korea they're respected by people of all ages because of their world class vocals and their involvement in all creative aspects of their career including songwriting, vocal arrangements, choreography, styling and MV concepts.

Two excellent sampler videos are their appearance on the Dingo Killing Voice series, which is a medley of some of their original songs from 2014 to 2020 when the vid was filmed, and the Immortal Songs Medley, which includes some of the covers they performed on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs between 2015-17. The Immortal Songs Medley video was professionally filmed at a Mamamoo concert in 2017 and is safe for reactions. Those two vids will give you a good idea of their musical diversity and vocal talent. They have dozens of group, solo and subunit MVs, a couple dozen albums, and there there are hundreds of hours of live performances available on yt. They're one of the deepest rabbit holes in kpop and, as moomoos (Mamamoo fans) like to say, Once you Wheein you can't Whee-out! lol

Mamamoo are the fiercest idols out there. And Moonbyul is (for me) in the top 3 female Korean rappers. If it helps you remember her name, Byul means star ⭐️ in Korean. So her name is moon star (even though moon means door 🚪 in Korean) Hwasa is also a star as you guessed. She’s got some crazy solo music too. All of them do. Moonbyul and Solar have songs with just the two of them as well.

All of them have very successful solo projects. Wheein and Hwassa signed with other companies for their later solo releases. Solar and Moonbyul are still with RWB. They just finished their first real world tour. MamaMoo will get back together as a group in the future. Hopefully. Moonbyul, The rapper, is also one of the better of dancers. Eclipse is highly recommended.
