I would never set a light up like that without an assistant or two sandbags. The beach always has unpredictable winds. I have been at that beach location so I know. He brought no sandbags with him. This beach also requires a permit to shoot at. This is the fastest way to damage your equipment or your rental equipment. Profoto’s are the most expensive strobes on the market and a mistake like that can be very costly to repair. This video gives the wrong advise on how to shoot on location. I know he is trying to sell the strobe but setting it up correctly is important too.
@@samysphotoschool7758 The video is presented that just the photographer and a model were on a shoot. That is the reason for the portability of the Profoto. You really need to present the true facts when doing something like this. If you have an assistant then he or she would be helping carrying your equipment which it only shows the photographer carrying the equipment hence there is no assistant on the shoot. I can’t tell you how many times I have photographed at the beach and I always hired 2 assistants for those location shoots due to the weather, sand and water. You are trying to be a learning channel at the same time as a sales channel.
i kinda like the beach shots without the flash, the shadows are a bit distracting
Thanks for sharing your opinion @gackal1982, we love natural light photography as well!
Natural light ftw
What lighting stand are you using?
matthews stands, not sure what spacific model but we have plenty of options to fit any scenario.
Can we know see the actual power in the remote ?if I understand correctly it’s a faster system correct? I was expecting the plus to go dual battery.
The Battery power of the B10X and B10X Plus is metered on the back LCD display. These lights are capable of High-Speed Sync!

Need a permit to shoot? These regulations are ridiculous.
But I bought a Godox AD1200 for less than this?
Congratulations on your purchase of a great light!
Good for you
