Good vid... if you'd added water to all the windows in between takes, that would've been dope. Set the 2700k light to about 22% or a little higher, with the other lights to match, that would've set it off!
Great break down of a nice shoot. A tip: You can put glycerin in the water and the drops will stay the same. Very common on product photography and for fake sweat in skin. In some of the shots the vaseline marks are visible.
Yeah dude glycerin is definitely the way to go. Unfortunately we didn’t have and I had to use Vaseline. I definitely should’ve mentioned glycerin though.
The wide shot and the high angle front shot are the only shots that are outside the car the tight shots and the backseat shot were all shot from inside the car and I was using a 50 mm so everything was pretty tight
Good breakdown ! For me it was too much movement, the composition was great but the subject moving so much and also the camera always changing angles, I feel like the viewers would be more involved if they can see the subject more and keep the camera longer on each shot and reduce the number of shots, your acting was good. You explained all the technical aspects really good also love the tip with the car window.

that totally counts! I have an intern right now working with me and they forget that just because they own the gear doesn't mean you don't still charge for it. I guess I was piggybacking off of my lesson yesterday. @@Alexzarfatifilms
I just shot this a couple days ago... it's not a public link because I'm still working on the project... ruclips.net/video/J0KrWPuyaU8/видео.htmlsi=toJQRiJOdbgS11vR
I did it with all battery powered lights, so I was a little worried about time. I'm doing pickup shots Friday though. I'm gonna grab a French over from the backseat like that. I used watered down vegetable glycerin to get my "rain drops" to stay and be bigger. Which is the same recipe for haze fluid, so you can use that in a pinch.

Damn bro, technical expertise and acting chops!!!!
Hahaha not sure if I got the acting chops but I will take the technical expertise 😉

Nice hack with the Vaseline, I would have never thought of that. Thanks for putting me on game. Now it’s time for me to do a short clip video.
YOU HAVE TO Brother it was a lot of fun. Good luck send it over when your done
Love your content and would certainly love to see the color grading!
Coming soon!
Awesome Alex 👏 I tried something similar last months for my action trailer 🎬 but it was only a try 😂
Haha 😂
good video and tips thanks
Of course brother thanks for watching🙌🏻
Alex... Drop a 5 minute short film using 3 people waiting for something bad to happen in a room.
I like that idea
Time for a colour grade ..😊
color grading tutorial i definitely can use that.
Hello from Cleveland. Were all of your shots from outside the car? How far away from the car on each angle?
The wide shot and the high angle front shot are the only shots that are outside the car the tight shots and the backseat shot were all shot from inside the car and I was using a 50 mm so everything was pretty tight
@@Alexzarfatifilms Thanks so much
please make tutorial about how did you color grading process thanks buddy.
I got you brother hopefully coming in the next couple of weeks

know of any good laptops for filming during the editing part????
Honestly man that new Mac book M3 is almost as powerful as my desktop
everything is great, cinematic and and sooo cool actually except i noticed that u never let the smoke out of your mouth after smoking it :D
it looks too "sharp" if you know what i mean. how does one get it to look more like a movie? is it a different lens or more expensive camera?
wich lens is that you use with Gvm light ?
A fresnel by ifootage if I’m being honest, it’s not the best but it’s super affordable. I would recommend the one by aperture.

is also 5 inch possible of need 6 ich for gvm ?
@@ParamkapoorMusik for the GVM I suggest the 650B or the 300B and here is the link for the fresnel: amzn.to/3xH71iE
brother I am going to need let me repeat I am going to need you to drop that color grading tutorial cuz I want it
lol well if you ask like that I have to 🤣
not so sure about the vaseline 😂 maybe there‘s a better way of applying it
lol yeah probably 🤣 I think it would be better if we used glycerin and water but we were in a pinch
Simply adding dirt to the windows would give it texture too. I believe I saw it on Film Riot some years back.🤔
Glycerin would save you from having to lube your windows. Product photography peeps swear by it.
bro, someone should teach you how to smoke. It's weird as fruck. But amazing job with the scene.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
color grading tutorial
Looks like you used about 5k worth of lighting so was it really $0 budget? Haha
lol yeah but I had no crew and I didn’t get paid🤷🏻♂️ does that count?
