Grew up in the 60/70’s. And had a mom and grandmother who made 90% of my clothing. And a couple of the dresses you made I wore then. I forgot how very cute they were and still are. You look fantastic in them.
Thank you for this! As a seamstress who also loves using vintage patterns, it really helps to see the garment actually made as opposed to relying solely upon the illustration.
Loved looking at all your makes, particularly your‘Regency' dress, it was such a delight. I was a teen/20’s in the 60’s and did lots of dressmaking and made similar outfits to your makes. I don’t sew now, as being in my 70’s I have an extensive wardrobe, enough to see me through my days. I’ve been inspired recently to do some sewing, I still have my 40 year old sewing machine that I only use for minor alterations now. I live near a recycling haberdashery unit that a magnet to crafters. It has lots of old pattern, fabric and lots more. In my youth I mainly used Simpicity, for special items Vogue, it's so joyous to browse through these old patterns at 60’s prices or less. I bought some fabric recently from there at a bargain price and have been inspired, my main craft is knitting and embroidery. Keep up your dressmaking, when I had my children I made some lovely party dressing for my daughter and 'mum & daughter' outfits, knitting for both my children, now I knit for children of family, friends and charity. ❤ Margaret from the UK
No kidding, in the seventies this is what I was sewing, especially the A-line skirt ! Took me back in time to highschool which is not necessarily good, hahah.
As a lifelong Little Mermaid and Edward Scissorhands fan I'm green with envy over that Mermaid dress!!! OMG... it's perfect! I'd never take it off! Love your work!
What a pleasant surprise in my feed! Your garments look great! And, love the music you chose. I felt like I was watching a video clip of a movie from this time period. Subscribed.
Groovy! This was a blast from the past for me. I had some dresses like that in the early seventies. I remember the baby doll look, short skirt with matching shorts. I wore kulocks shorts too a lot. You are very talented. Great job!
Great wardrobe. Job well done. I grew up in the late 60’s with the 70’s being my teenage years. Brought a lot of good memories. The coral dress is absolutely fabulous.
I am nuts for 70s style! It's hard to find vintage clothes, but pretty easy to find vintage patterns and fabric, so I'm going to make some of my own. It was very helpful seeing what some of the patterns look like made up. You did an amazing job!
Beautiful dresses! I had that same French provincial style furniture. I had a chest of drawers, the desk and chair, twin canopy bed and one bedside table. It was our fantasy for a 10 year old in 1969. My mom made us matching shifts similar to one you made. It was around 1967-68 and we had matching triangle head scarves to go with them. I'll never forget the background was white and the print was tiny red and blue sailboats with other nautical designs.
I love everything you made. I was young in the 70s in my teens and 20s and wore those clothes and I love them and you are an excellent seamstress and everything you made looks wonderful on you
It's hard to pick a favorite, but I am going to go with the first dress. loved it! For some reason it reminded me of my mom - like something she would have worn when she was younger.
all fo them are super cute and you look great in them, and I am very inspired to finally finish some of ym sewing project I've been procrastinating forever :")
I’m impressed with all you’ve made! Love the pink dress with cutouts, the polkadot dress with the loops, and that FABRIC with the mermaid body! What an incredible find, and it looks so cool on you! 😄
Love the shape of everything and I had most of them back in the day. Especially loved the jump suit and the mermaid dress. Great picture in the background of model Jean Shrimpton aka The shrimp.
I love what you've done and you wear it so well! I'm fixated on Butterick Young Designer patterns from the 70s but may expand my repertoire after seeing what you've accomplished. Fabulous!
Just saw this video.. love what you made!! I grew up in that eara & love the styles still ! My sister and I sewed most of our clothes... and wore them to school. Very colorful and happy . Keep it up, you look great in everything!
Good job! I love the vintage styles. A few of these I have made way back when, and now I've been collecting some of these styles again. I even like some of the 40's, before my time but still very cute. I was told to never through out your clothes that have went out of style, wait a few years and they will come back.
I get most of them from Ebay and Etsy online, but I've also gotten a few really cool ones from antique malls around my area. My great aunt gifted me some of hers too.
Thank you! I've thought about it, I had an Etsy store (for vintage clothing) a couple of years ago that I really struggled to make a profit with, but vintage reproductions are something I'm looking into for the future ☺
Thank you! It was actually a vintage fabric panel I bought from the 50s or 60s, the seller was called TheWishingWardrobe on Etsy. I think she's sold out of them now unfortunately, but I'm on the lookout for the pink/orange colorway someday and if I find some again I'll let you know!
Adorable outfits!

Wow ... unbelievable you are so very talented. These day no one has time to sew.
I made that same jumpsuit and wore it on a date with my future husband in 1970. Love that pattern! I still have it

I've got a few projects in the works at the moment, but I'll try to get that done this summer :D Thank you for the suggestion!
These look amazing! Do you mind telling me the name of the fabric for the mermaid dress? Thanks!!
Thank you! It was actually a vintage fabric panel I bought from the 50s or 60s, the seller was called TheWishingWardrobe on Etsy. I think she's sold out of them now unfortunately, but I'm on the lookout for the pink/orange colorway someday and if I find some again I'll let you know!
