Not even joking she was the only good part in secret invasion
By a country mile
She Literally was
No she wasn’t
There were other good things in it. There was a lot of potential in that show, and some very solid scenes. The problem is overall the story just didn't amount to all that much...and just about everything it tried to do, Agents of SHIELD had already done better in one way or another.
Yes. I looked forward to every episode just because of her character
She was one of the few best parts of secret invasion. I’d love to see her take Fury’s place as spymaster of the MCU if they’re phasing out Fury.
Can you Imagine her talking crap to the Avengers. Her and Iron Man. Jeepers. It would be epic. Completely epic.
@izannearonson9800 iron man is dead
@@dariuschisholm7317 Quite aware. They do have options in brining him back. However in essence, I'm just noting the possibility of a brilliant comedic scene. 🙄
@@izannearonson9800 I know
Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Big named actors tend to avoid superhero genre afiliation at some kind "I'm too cool for this", "These are for kids", "I 'm on for the money" etc. She not only like as she has been following.
Heck yeah. Love Olivia.
She was the best part of secret invasion
I adore her! She is always so real about everything.
Olivia as McGonagall in the new Harry Potter pls
What new Harry Potter?
Don't tell me they're doing a remake.
@@adamthorntonillustration9281yep they’re doing a hbo max series for each book!
Yessss. She would be perfect. Amazing idea
@@ashwinrajput5489 Oh God! 😞 I'm feeling a Ring of Power disaster pending.
@@adamthorntonillustration9281where have you been? Lol. They announced the new show last year
Olivia Coleman would make a glorious McGonnagall or Umbridge 😂
Ahhh yes, more reason to love Olivia Colman!!
Olivia is a gem. I first saw her in a Doctor Who episode and then watched her spectacular performance in Broadchurch. What a consummate actress
Olivia was the best part of the Secret Invasion series...the best character in the whole show
Glad Olivia and Tom Hiddleston worked great together in The Night Manager.
They are finally making TWO more seasons of it!! Tom confirmed it
@@kimberlyjeanne9456 yeah everybody knows
Love her.
Loooove Olivia in Marvel. I want her more. She was fantastic!!!
I understand how many many people don't watch Marvel movies or superhero movies for that matter but you'd think as professional actress she would have had some curiosity about the most successful movie franchise of all time.
They better bring her back
Mark Corrigan educated her on the finer details of life! 😂
i only watched secret invasion because of her
Jessie Buckley would make a good Lilandra.
It’s weird that there’s a little stigma sometimes around liking Marvel films - I guess because of their staggering popularity. But us fans remember when Marvel films were the absolute underdog. They became the juggernaut they are now not only because of their awesome quality, but because of an insanely loyal fanbase. Not because Hollywood is “pushing it” more than anything else.
So glad Olivia’s part of the MCU - hope we see her again (as many agree she was one of the few good parts of SI ).
Oh man she really hasn't seen Iron Man. RDJ is *ALL* character in that movie. It's why it worked so well and it's the reason the MCU took off as well as it did.
Without that movie, I think it would have taken much longer for the MCU to take hold and I doubt it would have been quite as much of a success. Although all credit to the talents of Jon Favreau and Kevin Feige for keeping the MCU's head above water for so long and actually churning out some really quality films here and there. I won't pretend I love everything that's come out of the MCU, nor will I pretend it's some sort of artful masterpiece even half the time, but without those two I'd probably think of the MCU today the same way I think of the DC universe films... and by that I mean I do not give two whale farts about what's happening with it and probably never will.
i completely agree with olivia. i love marvel and i watch 90% of what they do, that doesn’t mean i don’t have criticism or don’t support smaller films. i do believe there’s a problem in the industry with blockbusters taking up space and that small art films deserve just as much attention. but enjoying marvel films shouldn’t be treated as a character flaw or something. we can have a discussion and take action for more equality in theater screens while still being fans. and let’s face it superhero movies aren’t going away so
“Don’t know if it’s for me…”
Respectfully, you won’t know unless you try. Not every movie has to be a small, art house indie statement. And I’ve been more moved watching a Marvel movie than most pretentious artsy projects.
And no Star Wars? Potter? LotR??? Wild.
They might be thinking that Marvel movies are not cinema like Martin scorcese 😂...
Well Marvel movies are the only movies which are popular worldwide...
We need a podcast with Claire Foy and Matt Smith!!
luv her
Jessie Buckley has kind of changed her look to androgynous, alien badass...yet she doesn't want to be a superhero or villain? I think she'd make a great Cassandra Nova.
Also...if an actor says they aren't willing to wear spandex, I don't believe them for a second. Playing dress up and realizing the director's vision is part of the gig.
Show her the 1977 Superman.
Unpopular opinion: I really liked Secret Invasion.
I liked it at the beginning, but it got less interesting as it went on. Samuel and Olivia were easily the best parts of the show.
Iron Man (2008) - Avengers Endgame (2019)
Everything that came after never happened.
Spiderman no way home did happen and was better than endgame
@@dariuschisholm7317 Do you mean fan-service the movie? Sure I liked it, but would my life had been any lesser had it not existed? Probably not.
@@artofsam as supposed to boring overhyped endgame that isn't better than infinity war
@@dariuschisholm7317 I liked it because it was an actual ending, now they’re just flogging a dead horse.
@samuelserridge2557 it wasn't the end tho the universe had another movie after that with far from home
And they wasted her on a character we'll never see again. Nice!
Oh we will see her again
I’m certain we’ll see her character again. Samuel L jackson isn’t gonna be Nick Fury forever, the MCU is gonna need another character to fill that team director role and she’s perfectly aligned to take over I believe. Wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing more of her very soon.
@@emoney6692 fury has been irrelevant to "directing" the role of the mcu characters after Age of Ultron. His arc kind of ended in Winter Soldier, same with Shield. No need for a replacement.
