I want to thank you! Today I replaced the parts as described in the video and thanks to you everything was perfect! I did all the steps as you explained. Thank you very much
I should probably invest into better torque wrench! Plus I would be paranoid nut 🔩 can come off since in has no split pin on shaft… just a nylon lock..Thanks for watching and commenting 👍 🤜
Hi! Thanks for your DIY. I have to do Next week and i would love to know how long the bearing housing bolts are in new Drive shaft beacuse mine its identic. Thanks!!
@@AndrOid-ip7sd Can’t remember exactly now, but I’d say they were at least 50mm long… get yourself couple of different lengths and u won’t go wrong. I found mine in a pile of spare bolts I had. Hope it helps 👍 🤜
Great video. I have a driveshaft clunk and had the shaft and stub replaced, only to still have the noise. Could this be because the wrong stub was used, or maybe internal gearbox play?
@@richardthorrington I wish I had an answer for you.. but I don’t think it can be because of wrong stub size…noise maybe coming from completely different place…for example I had worn water pump which was making weird noises 🤔
Great video I feel I can do mine now but need to ask is the seal part a part of the stub or a completely different part as I have leakage too. Or would leak be because the stub is knackered which it is ta
@@scottkelly-e5x New stub comes with new seals and bolt…since my seal inside gearbox which surrounds ur stub was fine I didn’t bother changing it.. perhaps when I will be changing stub next time I’m gonna have to do it. It’s really not that difficult to do.. u just need to pry an old one and then carefully place new one with light tap of rubber mallet. Good luck with yours! And thanks for watching!!! 👍 🤜

Great Video!...a big thanks for your channel.
Great video my friend , very well explained
good tutorial ,I have the T5,and the torque settings are tighten to 200,then slack off 180 degrees, then torque back up to 200,mine is the 2.5 tdi
🙂 Great video 👍
Very informative kudos👍
really helpful video, thanks mate
@@Olleh987 Your views and comments are my greatest motivation!!! 👍 🤜
Perfect timing, I will get the parts tomorrow :) Good except for the torquing. Seems it was above 200Nm already and never "jerk" the torque-wrench.

you just on time mate. cheers👌
Really helpful, thanks for posting, btw do you need to drain the gearbox oil for this job?

I have a few questions, is your car a regular gear? What is the cost of the parts?

What brand were your parts and where did you buy them? Thanks, Anthony.
