Vocalist Starr Kalahiki, Abe Lagrimas Jr on vibes, Lopaka Colon on percussion and bird calls, amazing bass player and vocals of Jai Jung...what a sweet escape to exotica! DON TIKI ROCKS!! Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman, Augie Colon and the gang are smiling from that Tiki Bar somewhere in the sky where the blue drinks keep flowing.

Delmar DeWilde is like a combination of Wolfman Jack and Kid Creole(as in The Coconuts, NOT the convict!), infused wit Jimmy Buffett! And yet, the entire cast of Don Tiki is ITS OWN ENTITY of crazy-beautiful FUN!! .It's totally different to SEE the group and dig the tropical sounds of Anywhere and Anything Island!! And Hei Jung is a Dream!! Is hers the voice on "Close Your Eyes?"
I have seen Don Tiki at least 4 times & mind blown every time ... just fantastic , but the most outrageous performance was at the Hawaiian Hut in Waikiki many years back , with special guests & awesome dancers, that was a very special night indeed . ( any video of that ? )

Delmar sadly passed away in 2012. I am jus learning this now. RIP to a legend.
