I got a $1 US Federal Reserve Note at work the other day. Felt brand new, I know the date > 2010. The ink was blue instead of green but it was definitely not a silver certificate dollar. I handed it out as change, on accident, before I had a chance to look at it better or buy it.
@@ModernMiner4 Not sure. Newer than 2000. It was a $1. The store was busy; I glanced at it when I got it, but then - whoops - it became somebody's change. The ink didn't look drawn over, it appeared to be original print. Now I am kicking myself for giving it to a customer. Easy come, easy go.
I like searching through bills. coins are pretty small but the numbers on the paper money is much easier on my eyes! I havent come across much in the way of interesting serial numberes though. tons of trinaries which are not really a thing. a couple birthday notes but they were the wrong format. a lot of star notes but most are rare or medium rare. no well done's.
Nice repeater! Bummer about the tear but hey it happens. Big fan of fancy serial numbers. Check put some of my videos posted on fancies, you may enjoy!
Definitely a keeper my friend.

2010? That's odd. There were no $1 bills dated 2010. It would be 2009 or 2013 around that time. Counterfeit maybe?

that binary is great I would keep it
I would double check that it isn’t an error. But as a first find. I would keep it.
I would definitely keep it and maybe take it to a coin shop and see what they think.
Interesting, Looks like stripper damage on second one. 🤔
I've listed things on Ebay that I was alot more surprised to see sell. I think your bill would easily make 9 or 10 bucks given some time.

Paper money can be a lot of fun. I may do a video on my currency collection some time soon.
