I was lucky enough to meet Billie before a show in Vancouver, 1988. I was trying to make it in the music industry as a singer and the Billie Eilish concert was to gain some inspiration for my original material. I remember when I met her, her hair was silver and she looked absolutely stunning. We talked for a little bit, until she had to get ready fr the show. I had managed to get front row tickets from working at The Wall for years, where her music used to play quite frequently. @@fathery.8562 it's a dumb conspicary theory that she's still alive. she actually died in 2001 by alcohol poisoning leaving behind her daughter. her daughter is a successful singer (Billie Eilish Jr.). she even reworked some of her mother's works recently!
I WISH. Whether they were _together_ together or just friends, their chemistry was fantastic. Her cameo in Back to the Future II as a popstar in 2015 was kind of a *stretch,* but still a really funny bit if you remembered her from Family Ties!
Omg I remember when I was pregnant back in the late ‘80s, I got a backstage pass to see Billie and when I saw her (not even lying) she came up to me, touched my belly and said “she’s going to be beautiful girl”! I feel so blessed 😭 ❤️
My parents used to play Billie's albums when I was a kid. They're older so they were adults in the 80s. When I bought a record player, they gave me all their old Billie albums! The ones they didn't have, I look for at record shops. I'm only missing a few, but Bad Guy is definitely one of my favorite songs. Sometimes they play it at the diner in my town, and I get so excited!
I was in the U.S army deployed in West Germany when this came out in 1981 it was an instant hit. Good times, kids will never know what the constant threat of war with the Soviets felt like.
I think I’ve pieced together this collectively made story of 80’s Billie: Billie Eilish was born in 1972, and released her first hit song bad guy in 1989, at the age of 17. She performed at several proms and concerts and everybody remember the song well. Although, many Catholic Churches attempted to hinder the song’s popularity because of it’s explicit and “devilish” nature. Then in 2001, Billie died. Or so many people think. It turns out it was hoax. Stories were released that Billie died of food poisoning or heroine. In reality she continued living with her husband peacefully, the two had a daughter named “Billie Eilish Jr.” and she recreated some her mother’s works, however in a more modern and dark style. Many believe she is no where as good as her mother. Billie continues living at the age of 42. *The End* EDIT: There, I finally fixed the dates
i'm an adult woman now and during my youth i used to write cheesy erotic novels using a pseudonym to make some money n buy my poptart n frozen waffles omg those times were rough... it was the biggest inspiration for me, i always listened to this record when i hit my typewriter so hard during those nights... i also lit some candles to get the vibezz... you might remember my novel 'Bad Guy', it's about a pure girl, Billie, with a golden heart and she falls in love with Buck, the local guy wearing a leather jacket oh my
Ah, I remember how I read 'Bad Guy' with my friend in her basement back in 89'. Her dad, who just got back from work found the book and completely teared it apart. We didn't care, we were high. Aaah how we'd just smoked 3 packs of sigarretes after that. Good old times.
@@sarahinthealps Well not many know that, but she's in fact an ancient creature that was here long before the world, or universe even existed. She's the one who inspired God (who is one of her creations too) to create humans actually. She invented music and sounds as well. What a brilliant being.

That was a hoax, she didn't want any more crap from the media so she faked her death, we don't know where she is now but we know that her daughter, Billie Eilish Jr is carrying on her legacy
We went from „scream a lullaby“ and „an August moon surrenders to a dust cloud on the rise“ to „toss my salad like your name Romaine“ and „shimmy-shimmy yah drank“.
Some background - The tabloids were NOT kind to Billie when she and a Michael Bolton broke up back in 1984. This song was her way of leaning into her public image at the time.
90% of the comments are the same thing, but like, no one is talking enough about how this sounds better than the original, modern production on music sounds like it's made for dummies, the beat and melody has to be so fast and catchy you can't break down the chords and add beautiful raw instrumentals like this. They overly produce and chew the tracks as much as they can so that people can swallow and consume it fast as well, this is refreshing, I used to hate this song.
As a child, my mother cried and cried when Elvis died. I didn’t understood. Later on when John Lennon died my older sister cried and cried. i didn’t understand. when Billie died i understood.
Hot damn, brother, now this takes me back. Weren't never my style, gimme a cold beer and a Johnny Cash record, that's what I always said. But brother if my sweetheart Susie didn't go wild over this girl. I remember this song was on all the jukeboxes when we started going steady, and damn if I didn't lose most my quarters making that girl smile. The good lord took my girl home back in '16, and I damn well miss the both of 'em, I tell you what. Ah hell, let's play our song one more time, Sue-sue.
Fun fact: Lana Del Rey confirmed in an interview once that Billie Eilish was one of her biggest inspirations for her own music. It's so cool to know that Billie has so much influence for musicians from the younger generation who grew up listening to her.

I know! It was just so tragic. I feel so BAD for Michael. Though I just remember the night I met my husband. I heard this song and man......... *that was the shit*
During the show, she launched into this very mellow song called When The Party's Over and she actually knelt down on the edge of the stage and held my hand the entire song! What a show that was!
My grandma used to listen this when she was 19, she was very attractive in that concert, smoking a whole pack in front of my grandpa

Her daughter is taking in her foot steps. She’s making the music more “modern.” I remember the summer of 86 when this came out. What a good year. 😌
Wasn’t it ‘89? She was 17 when this song came out and 47 now, I must be “tripping out,” as my kids say.
Father Y. Pretty sure it was 86. I could be wrong though.
i’m inclined to agree with Father Y on this one. oh, what old age does to our memory
@@fathery.8562 it's a dumb conspicary theory that she's still alive. she actually died in 2001 by alcohol poisoning leaving behind her daughter. her daughter is a successful singer (Billie Eilish Jr.). she even reworked some of her mother's works recently!

Damn I remember when she guest starred on Family Ties and everyone thought she was dating Michael J. Fox.
moon chai Yeah, they were hot though

Who Cares but you were pregnant with a boy.

I think I’ve pieced together this collectively made story of 80’s Billie:
Billie Eilish was born in 1972, and released her first hit song bad guy in 1989, at the age of 17.
*The End*
EDIT: There, I finally fixed the dates
this is funny but to be honest, realistically it would have been a protestant church lol, Catholics don't really do stuff like that.
Well if she was born in 1969.. Wouldnt she be like 49 or 50 now??

WELL IT CERTAINLY IS OLD BUCKAROO
