Hey y'all! We're Chris + Sara (or as you know us, Let’s Be Us), a husband and wife digital nomad travel duo currently working and traveling full time with our pup, Kramer. We've always dreamed of traveling full time, and in May of 2018 we took the leap and made it happen! Today we're balancing work and fun everywhere between the Pacific and Atlantic. From hiking and cycling to tacos and coffee, we're trying to see and experience as much of this world as we can! While our home is currently on wheels in our DIY Sprinter van, our travels take us all around the world.
If you are still doing your own colour grading, you are crushing it! Wonderful colours and tones. Really capturing the vibes of Mexico
Great episode, y’all! That restaurant’s speed is seriously impressive! And those sandwiches!🤤 Y’all have us wanting to explore Mexico more with each of these episodes!😍
There are a larger park than Colomos in Zapopan, is El Bosque La Primavera, and you miss the Barranca de Huentitan a very large Canyon in the limits of Gdl
quisiste decir un "bosque" mas grande como un parque, jajaja.
Marvelous, I have missed you guys.. ❤️
Thanks, Dan! Always happy to see your kind comments out here. :)
Been waiting for this one!
Hope you enjoyed it! Guadalajara is amazing!
Still working out how he didn't drop any of that meal when running around that corner. Like watching the Monaco Grand Prix.
😂 Impressive, right?! Watching the service was as good as the food itself!
@@chrisandsara barely anytime to watch the service 🤣🤣 loving the food in this video.

I appreciate the suggestion you offer to take a step away into nature when any environment is overstimulating. Having just returned from a few days in Smoky Mtn Nat'l Park, that has been our experience as well. Merlin is a great app for casual birding. You're correct in comparing an ahogada to a dipped Italian beef! Love that overhead drone shot near the end!
Merlin is the one I'm using, too! It's a great app! I hope y'all had a wonderful getaway in GSMNP!
Nice video!
You guys continue to be fantastic - please keep doing what you’re doing!
Also, I adore all of Sara’s hairstyles! Definitely taking some inspiration from them!
Great video!! I’ve never been to Guadalajara! Your description of the city and the videos you shared were just lovely!! Thank you for sharing your adventures. I really enjoy them! Safe travels from Southern California 🌴
Thank you so much! Guadalajara is a super interesting city. Really all of Mexico is wonderful from what we've seen, but Guadalajara is a cool place to visit because you get the big city feel and can combine it with some really nice small towns to get the best of both worlds.
Nice!!😀
i lost track of your videos and now you were visiting my city and now you're van drivers :O , be really careful on the roads, never drive at night, and not that early in the morning, i would suggest between 8:30 am - 4:00pm (4 being at destination or most close to it)
That was amazing driving in the beginning ! Guélcom tu meksiko!
Thank you!!
It is actually the third largest metropolitan area in Mexico. Now the second is Monterrey
Cheers!!!
Oh I didn't know that! oops! Monterey is on our list to visit one day, too. :)
@@chrisandsara Good!. Enjoy Sultana del Norte and its cabrito!
Cheers!
Not according to our new friend ChatGPT based on the 2020 census, but who knows...
Guadalajara is second yet now. In several things is first.

I wish American people were more like you. Loving and open to us. And not see us as inferior people. And one day see us, as good neighbors. Iv been hurt so much, but im still trying to offer Americans the best my culture could offer.
🙏🙏🙏
Carne en su jugo is a staple dish in Guadalajara, Jalisco!
We had same impression but I think it's tha fact you have driven to thease place that adds to the experience.
Careful about those silver trays they make you buy more pastries
You're not wrong about driving and the silver tray :)
Did you use the Merlin app for birds by Cornell? That one blew my mind when I first used it. Great video old friends. Food looked legit 🤛
YES! That's the one I'm using and it's awesome!
@@chrisandsara totally 💯
Carnés en su jugo. Meat on it's own juice. Saludos amig@
"carne en su jugo".
Merlin is how I bird too. It is really fun without sitting with binoculars.
Agreed! Merlin is the one I use, too. I've been very impressed by it so far!
TRY THE TEJINO..IS A TRADITIONAL DRINK IN GUADALAJARA ❤
*Tejuino .
Muy sabroso . Maíz fermentado.
Thanks for visiting my country and Jalisco state! Did ever someone mentioned that you look like the Australian actress TONI COLLETTE ?
A much younger version though ! The voice specially 😅 …
😂😂 haven't heard that before. We loved our time in Guadalajara
@@chrisandsara you MUST GO to Oaxaca city … it would be a shame if you skip it. It’s probably the ‘most Mexican’ city in the country. Congrats on your channel, the editing in general is amazing!
😊
Hi! Hope you're doing well!!
14 on the UV scale?! How is that even possible?! 🥵
Which app are you using for the bird identification?
It's called Merlin Bird ID by Cornell and it's wonderful (and free)!
i love ur honest reviews guys, and yes, Guadalajarais the THIRD biggest city in mex. Monterrey is the second and the richest city in mexico, its like the Mexican new york. Though, Guadalajara is clearly super important, its one of the stars in mexican tourism, culture and econmy, i'd place Guadalajara in second in culture rating. Clearly a must in visiting mexico list, u did right on doin it.
What is your source for this? I have always heard GDL is the second biggest cities and after reading your comment I did a quick search and found that there are a few cities mentioned between Mexico City and Guadalajara, but those are basically suburbs of Mexico city. Monterrey shows (in multiple results) as 9th... But to be fair, I also always heard that Monterrey was third...
@@RobertEchten it's basically a war between the three cities. Monterrey is the richest, since the north of Mexico is the most industrialized part by far (or was until recent year) so there's a pushing to the point that many people from that zone think they sustain the Mexican economy, Wich is wrong, it's like the Mexican Texas actually. I said Mexican New York or Chicago in the sense of population and modern skyscrapers.
Guadalajara is the third in economy and it's "paired" to Mexico city in the cultural way. In the sense that many many cultural expressions and evens are placed there. The two main Book festivals in Mexico are México city and Guadalajara. And the biggest universities of Mexico are MX CITY, Monterrey and Guadalajara.
@@RobertEchten México is very variate as u know, so there's not actually like 3 or 5 cities that accumulate everything, except maybe for México city but as u can see, is the second or even third in economy (mainly bcs they're non that much factories but enterprises of services and stuff)
Also is super important to know. One thing is cities and another states. The positions are different in the different rates
@@RobertEchten but yes, ask the people, do the research, mistakes can be done
Guadalajara was fascinating!! We know we only scratched the surface of it but we learned and saw so much that was fascinating!
Did you not time your time in Mazatlan right to catch the total solar eclipse!?!?
No! 😭 We missed it by about a week! We saw an eclipse in totality a few years back so we decided not to try and battle the crowds and hiked up prices this time around. It was still a really cool experience where we were in Baja that day!
@@chrisandsara Were you one of the tens of thousands in a farmer's field in Madras, OR? :D
Monterrey, is the second largest city now, after Mexico City.
Good to know!
Regio acomplejado, no, no es la segunda y si vas a hacer afinaciones presenta tus fuentes.
Hello! My fiance and I our big fans! Are you guys still living Chattanooga? My wedding is this Sunday 6/2/24 and I was trying to find a Tuk Tuk to rent and wanted to rent yours if possible 😊
Hi y'all! First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Secondly, I'm so sorry we aren't answering until now! Chattanooga is still our home but we've been renting it out most of the time and haven't been home lately. I'm sorry we weren't around to let you rent the tuk tuk for your wedding. I hope the day was wonderful and perfect! :)
Why not visit #andares it's the New a Guadalajara or the tradicional #chapalita
jajajaja "the new guadalajara" en primer lugar esta en zapopan, y en segundo lugar no mames.
Guadalajara is the third , Monterrey is the second lasrgest metropolitan area en México
Ah! Apologies! We read somewhere that Guadalajara was second. Monterey is on our list to visit one day soon, too!
En la mayoria de las áreas importantes Guadalajara es 2da .
Por lo que debe seguir considerándose así .
Guadalajara es la SEGUNDA, aunque te duele, regio.
We found many issues of small city Mexico. Narrow cobblestone streets in historical districts, even switchbacks (looking at you, zacatacas) so we found easier to park outside cities and uber in
We're quickly learning that, too! Planning routes through tiny towns is no joke. Guanajuato has been our most difficult challenge so far. Definitely had a few "eek!" moments driving those streets!😅
@@chrisandsara not to be missed thermal baths Aquascalientes from 1806 or something. Also the day of the dead museum. Then do not drive in Guanajuato, but do uber in. Worth a few days in city of frogs and tunnels. Zacatecas is fine if you miss it. Great museums and artwork. The butterfly reserve in Tlalpujahua will blow your mind. Hwys tend to be not too bad but can be horrible traffic.
