I think most people consider him to be the greatest ever because his skill and talent are natural, I mean, it's like he didn't learn how to play football but he was born to play football, and althought he is very small and that brings some disadvantages he manages to compensate them with all his incredible skills. And yes, you are totally right, he has a major advantage over all the other players... Messi is faster with the ball on his feet than without it. His ball control is by far superior to anybody elses and that's the reason he is able to easily beat 3, 4 or 5 players in a dribble almost every match. It's unfair to say that he is the best football player ever... there were a lot of amazing players, each of them with a unique style... all I can say is that for me, Messi is the only one who can make me smile.
Messi is the greatest bc he plays this sport better than anybody, he understands this game better then anyone. He does things that no one also can or think to do in same situation, and he does it not bc he´s smaller or fast or something also, he does bc the way he´s brain understands and solve the puzzle of this game isn´t normal, he finds space were no one can see, he thinks too fast, too fast that... fk... thats like, he sees everything in slow motion and than he decides what the better way to scape, to score, or to pass the ball. Messi is the greatest bc of the way his brain understands this game, is totally different, thats the reason many others players and coach says they never seen nothing like Messi, he´s "not human".

Dinho and R9 were way more Gifted than Messi and they didn't pratice everyday like Messi they used to go to parties almost the whole week and just practice one or two days sometimes they just came back barely in time for the game they had to play and even so they played like a gods.
u want to know why he is the best because the way he plays this beautiful game is just so mesmerizing, he has scored many goals(many of them felt like impossible but he did it), he has been honoured with number of awards but let's just keep this aside , the truth is that he can dribble a whole team, the quality of his passes , he is the most unselfish player u will find, he can play in any position, he can shoot a ball, he can place the ball at the side corners, a genius freekick taker , he is the backbone of a team, assists that he makes to his teammates are so good. many managers and legendary players praise him because they hv the real knowledge of football, they understand this game and they know that messi is one of a kind,that's y he is the best football player ever.
1. every country in south america speaks spanish, except brazil they speak portugese.
2. Hattrick = 3 goals in one match, perfect hattrick = 3 goals in one halftime
3. Ronaldo and Messi arent big friends, but they respect each other alot. its the media and the fans that act like they are enemys.
4. the big ass trophy was the Champions League, u can compare that to the superbowl. u have group stage of 8 groups with 4teams each, best 2 make it into K.O. round with. each k.o. round has a home and away game except the final, thats always a neutral ground (exept the team from the host town makes it into the final ofc). World Cup is only for nationalteams, not for clubfootball. there is a clubfootball world cup, but that isnt really important because european teams will win it 100%
5. Messi is definitly ONE of the greatest, but i wont say THE greatest because u cant compare Goalies, Defenders or Midfielders for example with Strikers/Wingers and u cant compare modern football with old football. We are lucky that we have 2 Players that are outstanding, thats messi and ronaldo. Both are really great players, both can do unbelievable things, both can deciede games just by themselfes. one thing that bothers many "not messi fans" is that he has only prove his skills at barca. he is great for argentina, but not as great as he is for barca, in the last copa america finals for example ppl say he was invisible and he really misses a big trophy with argentina.
6. when we compare messi and ronaldo we can see different styles of play. messi is a really short guy, thats his big advantage for his dribbling. his center of grafity is really low so its hard to get him off his feet and his ball control is absolutely insane. hes more the guy that dribbles into the box and finess' the ball into the corner or sets a goal up.
- ronaldo on the other hand is a tall strong guy with insane header and longshot abilities. he has also a pretty strong weak foot and in his prime he outran everybody, but people forget that he is 32 and therefor not the youngest anymore (most fieldplayer retire at 34/35).
7. so in my opinion both are great and one of the greatest, cr7 can do things that messi cant and messi can do things that cr7 cant. but there were also ppl like pele, maradona, beckenbauer, zidane, xavi, puyol, kahn, casillas, buffon, maldini, baresi, giggs, pirlo, beckham, roberto carlos and many more that were absolutly incredible on their position, thats what it makes it hard for me atleast to say he is the greatest of all time, because defender or goalkeeper for example will never get the same credit as strikers/wingers.

I am not an expert but I watch a lot of Messi matches. I gathered that to be a good footballer, you have to be good at defence, midfield or striking (or goalkeeping). On top of having a talent for any of these roles, you might have an addtional talent for , say, freekicks, passing the ball, dribbling and different types of skills. And if you are a captain, you need to be able to read the situation and take advantage of it. In the case of Messi, he has it all. This is why the experts and commentators refer to him as "alien". He is not a human.

Remember, you can only score a hat-trick if you score all 3 goals consecutively, if you get 2 and someone else scores, your next goal does not count as a hat-trick.

It's called a CHIP when you send it over the goalies head. HAT TRICK is when one players scores 3 goals in one match. Any additional goal doesn't have a name. So if they score 4 or 5 (rarely happens), it would be "he scored" 4 goals or 5 goals. Also whoever scores a hat trick usually gets to keep the "match ball".

* when a player scores 2 goals in a single match, it is said he scored a brace. If he scores 3, it's a hat trick. If you score a hat trick, you get to take the match ball home with you as a souvenir.
* that trophy is the Champions League trophy. That's what you get when your club (not country) is champion in Europe.
* you are doing well. Keep going. You learn as you go. Try learning what an off side is as a next challenge
