The sad part in this is that one day Mom will be incapacitated in some way and she will be taken for everything she’s got. Lori is very comfortable in her life, she will never change a darn thing. She will end up with the relationships she has fostered. Doesn’t take much thinking to figure that out.

Find some common ground and just live out the rest of their lives in togetherness , life is too short especially at those ages to still be holding onto the past .
It all comes down to the older sister saying "I hope you can help me!" In regards to the younger sister. She wants her to just fill her mother's role and do everything for her too
just for the record - munchhousen syndrome is when an adult or child makes THEMSELF sick for attention. Munchhousen syndrome by proxy is when a PARENT makes there CHILD sick for attention. I do love this womans hats they're great!
it's people like Lori who keep the stigma around depression/mental illnesses alive tbh, I know it can be hard to do ANYTHING some days but just sitting back and blaming her emotional issues for her laziness and not even trying to better herself won't get her anywhere
Lorie needs to start getting physically fit to get around with her sister Kim from time to time. Mom should at times take a break from Lorie. I think all three can have a fabulous time having get togethers now & then. All 3 can't be in the same room daily without having a disagreement. Life is short and having grudges doesn't help at all.

As someone that also deals with mental health issues, Lori is honestly not doing anything to help herself. Sure, she takes medication, but WHAT IS SHE DOING TO MANAGE HER ILLNESS? It's not others' jobs to manage her, it's her own personal responsibility. I was on disability for 20 years. I worked myself off, I'm in recovery, I work full-time (in the mental health field). I manage my own symptoms so that I can function in the world. If I need extra support, I ask for it, I practice self-care. I encourage my peers to "end the pity party" and I encourage personal responsibility. There are so many resources, supportive organizations out there, there is really no need for someone capable to sit at home and allow others to take care of them.

Having emotional problems/depression/OCD while can be debilitating do not make you incompetent to be independent. There are numerous people who suffer from all of those diagnoses or those seperatly who have independent lives and or need little support to have a full healthy life. Lori strikes me as someone who might have more going on that those disorders. I feel like she might be more special needs then mental health. I am only speculating and not a trained physician, there is somthing up with her behavior thats not just mental health oriented.
Kim is not being a wicked mean sister she just not willing to buy the whole poor helpless Lori story like her mom is. Lori is more then capable of pulling her own weight but because her mom has not held her to any type of standard Lori acts the way she does. I seen elementary school children who behave better then Lori does and who have more required of them then Lori does.
This mom is badass! Idc, her fur hats are bomb, her house is beautiful. I don't care for the enabling tho, that should absolutely stop, but I get it. It's your daughter and you want to make sure she's safe, stable, secure! But.. the oldest daughter, is unstable and needs to get well.
