ejunky66 "Do/Will you sell these video curtains complete? Could I have you make it?
how much... I would have to buy all the supplies, of course....
A picture is worth a thousand words........... but a hundred words could of summed up this 12 minute video just as well. lol.
i take it back. that is a rather lovely looking final product, good sir.
I find it funny that he corrected his grammar using incorrect grammar!
" all this cool thing ", great video thank you for sharing.
Is anyone going to mention to these technical GENIUSES... that "YOU'RE" has an " ' " in it... Not only that.. but YOURE.. grammatically means ": YOU ARE " think they were going for the word " YOUR "....
Great concept... great job by some creative minds... not sure what dis was wat dey wanded to saaaay... guess dat is dat... or somfin jus like dat...
Exclusive - Technology more than 130 comments are about this yes, so "youre" a little late ...
Did not scroll through the comments to see if anyone remarked about it... but... that was an excellent use of the word " you're " although you clearly never got how it works when you were in class learning English.
Not picking on you, not beating you up... this link will give you a chance to recall what you saw and forgot...
www.youryoure.com/
No big deal... it's just grammar... There are generations of kids growing up half ways educated not because they did not listen to what they were taught in school.. but because their parents did not know the difference at home... My dad called it constructive criticism. Your interest and effort in hands on technology development is ASTOUNDING...
Thanks for keeping us in the know...
Wow!!! Perfect for concerts and all other kinds of occasion. But you'll gonna need a lot of LED's for concerts.
this looks hella sick i have a pull down curtain like that in my room for my windows nice
end result looks quite good
Love how the kid jacks your phone at 9:22 lol
Good explanation word writing in the screen👍
thanks for comment my Friend
Save 6 minutes of your LIFE and skip from the 3 minute mark to the 9 minute mark! Do it NOW!
If he was a painter he'd make us watch paint dry :)
If he returned from vacation, he'd make us watch every slide.
The title says, "How to build ..." not "How to look at ...".
Some of us want to build this thing not just watch a light show.
Nomoreidsleft;) thanks dude.... just wait guys for the next Project how to build a LED Tube Display then i will even Show how to tie up shoes....
hey guys the new DIY Project is online check it out how to build a LED Display Part 2 LED rigid Bars 1000X2000mm foldable
How could someone dislike this? :) Nice project.
if you have the power into the middle lights you dont have to link all neg or positves up it sends out a equal feed :-) tip of the day
AWSOME DESIGN !
I think the air intake for the heat gun is on the back of the gun. Blocked off when you set it down like you did.
I am very much interested to build my own LED sign. this will be very useful to get the basic knowledge. Wish to watch more.
and it will save you having to re-solder/ sodder when you have moved it about a bit (its a very good idea to cover all soldered wire connections with heatshrink the solder isn't as flexible as the wire so it ends up under stress creating premature dry joints
for less than a buck a yard its worthwile :D
very interesting whatching somebody working for minutes with a wooden yardstick, rearranging stuff over and over again instead of making one drawing geforehead and using a permanent) marker to transfer that, so that the actual glue process could be done straight away. And off course a great lesson for those never seen a hot air gun working.
Nice video. Thank You. You might appreciate a "Chalk Line" tool. Draw a straight line every time and never make a permanent mark on your background material..
very easy way to build a curtain is to buy some flexible plastic garden fencing... I then was able to insert square based pixels into each spot in the garden fence at whatever spacing i wished.. connected them all to the controller and execute my MADRIX software to run them as a light show.. the trick was the garden fencing because the curtain can be rolled up and placed in the trunk of a car or a pickup truck easily. each part of my curtain is 16 feet long by 4 ft wide... I can easily attach them to the side of buildings, on poles, etc... very durable, flexible.. if the wind gets strong they bend and dont break...
' I can't get enough pink!!' LOL
best led iv seen
Very Helpful Thanks
You're welcome!
I'm followeding all the directionaries of the for this making this LED curtain and needing the most helps ASAP!
I finished for the all complete and plug into the powerful supplies but I accidentally the whole curtain! Please for the helping!!!
i was wondering if using this method would i be able to display a live video feed from a camera or a video feed from a dvd player?
this is awsome !!!!! i have learned to make led panels but not ass easy as this i will like to know more about programing cause i need more lights to my dj equipment and life stages ;) great job ;)
Hey Tanks for this video was good to see it , i think was a good idea to post it here :)
Hi there, may ask if this type of LED strip can be used for this project? 5M 5050 SMD RGB LED Strip 300 LEDs Waterproof
What kind (model/type) of LED's are these? are these water proof?
Thank u for all this information
no problem checkout our newest project ruclips.net/video/sPt9olLB_o4/видео.html
wow! ..... yeah i'm gonna have to do this one day.
Awesome!!!!! I want to build one
these led strips are really expensive because you can control each led section, but if you have the money or you are a business it is certainly worth it!
Flickering chain sequential on/off lighting has been done to death in conventional Christmas lights. They are very fatiguing & usually provide only a brief period of novelty.
There is a need to switch off a portion of the total to allow dimming but that's it.
Simplify the controller & reduce cost.
I have a question about building my own LED panel. When using multiple power supplies does the data line run constant from the beginning of the led strips to the end? While the power lines are dedicated to however much current a specific power supply can handle?
What micro controller should I use and how do I program microcontrollers? Are there any tools needed except from the computer? If not, how do I access the controller via my pc, and with what programming language do I give the instructions? If there is a video please show me a link.
What Led strip is this? these are the special chasing leds..
is it possible to make a small version only size of a A3 paper?
عمل في غاية الروعة
Also how large could I make a screen like this with out needing another power supply or LED controller
Thats a awesome thing! Thumbs up.
Do you think i might get some detailed instructions on how to do this? I want to make my whole room glow.
what a sweet project.. bravo!
the LED strip he is using has the positive and negative leads, but also has a data and timer lead, allowing control over an individual led. they come at a cost though, as in they are a bit more expensive than the ordinary LED strip.
you made it with four rolls of lights...do you need led amplifier every so many feet?
best led ever
Awesome build!
nice work I like it,, can you just tell me how much is the smallest size of led I can get it from you , I want signal led for one color ( one for red,one for green, and on for blue )
I want small size of led not like the one in ur video
what's the program name? the one wich you write and you can see your text on leds
what's the point of the heatshrinks? i understand its to cover the live wires connecting to the led strips but aren't the copper links between every 3 leds the samething except they're not covered or protected?
actual question now. how big can you go and still have control/ not have huge lag. and i do mean big (thing theater backdrop) my guess is you would have to control it in sectors with a very large amount of controllers.
im thinking were all looking to use the same dimensions and same equipment as whats in your project. can you post link(s) to where we can find all the suppies needed to build!
one more question, can we process video on this led if yes then with which controller ? thanks
What kind of led strip is used/ is it a simple RGB Led strip or that kind of IC digital led strip?
what kind of class would you have to take to learn how to do this stuff?
Sorry, i missed the figures at the beginning. The interface you used to program, does that come included ?
Would the software support adding stips in between the existing ones but shifting them sidewards by half a pixel? This would double the pixel density while avoiding it looking like there are vertical columns of gaps.
Very nice. My son wants to build one now. How much will this thing set me back in total. Including power supply and all other components ?
It is awesome. I should find your VDO before I bought some from others. The LEDs I bought could not do like this. Is that possible because of the different IC no? Would you mind to give me an idea of IC no? I will try again. Thank you so much.
hello friend'm from Brazil, I have a strip of LED 2812b, and also the T1000S, it is difficult to operate in this way your video, what can be wrong?
okay so what type of LED strip is this? the type im used to using is the simple RGB type LED strip this would have to be a little bit more advanced to have control over each LED...
I notice that the LED brightness drops from one side to the other. You need to put more power connections at ends and middle of strip to prevent voltage drop. if voltage drops from 3.7V at one end to 2.7V at other (not uncommon for that length) the LED at the 3.7V end will let more power than at 2.7V end. You can add more power at the 2.7V end and prevent "voltage sag" and make the display much better.
How bright are these compared to an ikea dioder? Please respond by replying to my comment
Question i want somethings to display like a banner in a subway is this led???
can you explain in more detail on how to wire (interconnect) all the cut strips from the start to end of the run?
Could you please list all part ... I would really like to try this ...
I can put several together if it is to be greater, the controlled with DMX?
a great idea, i'm looking foward to built my own.
then let´s go
Damn that's cool. I'm a dummy when it comes to wires and lights xP
masters of world
from what i have checked on e-bay, you have to have the light strips with the IC chips in the strips, and are expensive, Plus the controller, 50$, still looking into this setup....
Hi
it can work if you have a regular LED lights (normally RGB)
hello, you guys have this complete kit for mounting the sale? to deliver in Brazil, the leaves?
good job .... Thnks. i wana Ask can wriht arabic words? i mean the led wriht program have arabic languige .,, with my best weshise for you
hi.. i saw an application for this before in back of a car showing a sound visualization of the is playing inside.
this is very cool car mod how it can be done?
In your description it says HDMI, How can I get HDMI output to one of the DIY strip screens??
Can you make the LED curtain beat with the music?
How? What program do we need then?
Hi what model led are you using here please?? not found any with clock and data on yet?
very smart work
Hi, i would like to know where you got the PVC sheet as i am interested in making my own curtain using your idea. Thanks
exelente trabajo le tengo una pregunta como consigo el material para la contruccion
del panel led por favor .
can you make it bigger? and can the software take photos and convert them so that they can be shown on the led display?
I'm Curious If I can use a LED Curtain like this with other lighting programs like Chauvet ShowXpress or at least trigger the patterns with other programs. Does This curtain have DMX Inputs when its finished?
whats the smallest size you can make? could you make one in an oval shape 10x9 inchs?
ok so i have LED strips, and a T1000 controller, how do i go about making the connections. only the 12v line is indicated, have no idea which lines the Clk or data signals run on or which one is ground. alltogether there are 4 connection points.
what did you use LED strip, or rather its labeling and where to buy?
Thank you for this ejunky66!!! I am so happy I found your videos! Lots of information!
hi thank you ;) i wrote you an email already ruclips.net/video/e-rdgB_19Fg/видео.html

That's is what I am watching right now! :-) Please keep in touch for more queries! :-) I want to start puchasing all the assembling parts. Thank you!
Very nice project!
you should check the new DIY Video its Amazing how to build an LED Display by LED rigid Bars 1000X2000mm foldable ...how to build a LED Display Part 2 LED rigid Bars 1000X2000mm foldable
Hi, I would like to achieve the same panel ... Where can I get Led Dmx control box and Power ... Thanks
Hi I want to build one also what is the name of the program you are using and do you have link where to buy the LED strips
Great design !
Is inspiration for me...
my subwoofer got to do alot of work with this video ^^
Can you list the hardware that you used on This project that would allow me to build my own similar panel,Mainly that of which you used for programming and controlling the output of the LEDs cheers
also do you know any led strips that have multiple intensities? a non dimable backdrop would be kind of useless.
I was thinking 12 x 48" but that depends on the price. I would also need to know how to control this device. I have Light-O-Rama controllers but I don't think they are capable of doing what you show on this video...Keep me posted, Will Ya?
What LED strips do you use, What serial protocol to address each LED?
does the LED SD Card Controller come with the program to connect to a computer? To control text like you are doing in the video?
what would the price in materials cost for what you just did here? bet i could buy a nice new super slim LED hdtv for a little more. you tell me.
Is there a chance you could try to run some kind of low res video on this?
Hi, how do you break the strip into individual pixels? In other words, I don't see matrix wires; how do you send a signal to light up some LEDs and not the adjacent ones? Is this built into the strip from the factory? I ask because all I have seen so far are strips where all the LEDs light up at once.
would have set up a scheme to connect your source and the LED on the controller? type know qa amount of LED and power at the source, and the number of LEDs per controller channel
u take your time,i see lol n do gud work keep it up ma mans
