I have an 08 dodge grand caravan, can this scan tool work on it especially clearing codes when work is done or which one would you recommend? Does one have to pay for yearly updates to continue usage?

Hi Lenny! Yes, the 3040RS will work to read and clear codes from your vehicle, as long as they aren't "Permanent" codes. Permanent codes require a drive cycle to be completed to clear the code and light once it has been fixed. Updates are completely free. No additional purchases are required once you've purchased this tool.
can this work with toyota yarias 2015 and cars from 2016 2017 2018 2019 and 2020 and with a toyota mr 2 spyder 2001?

Bought one today at a pond shop. The problem the writing is in Spanish. Is there a way to change it to English. It works fine and I can read in Spanish but rather have the writing in English

does this check transmission codes on honda?
Hi there! The 3040RS can read transmission codes as long as that transmission code triggers the check engine light to come on. If you suspect a transmission issue, but no check engine light is on, the tool unfortunately, will not assist in pulling a transmission code.
Does this tool have an auto bleed function?
Hi Jason, thank you for your question! Unfortunately, the 3040RS does not have the auto brake bleed function. We would recommend the 3160RS. Be sure to check out innova.com/coverage to be able to type in your year, make, and model since it does vary by vehicle.
does this work on mazdas and nissans?

No, unfortunately, the 3040RS does not have transmission fluid temperature in live data. We do have other tools, like the 3160RS, that offer that data depending on the year, make, model, and engine size of your vehicle. Will it work on a 2020 Ford F150?
Hi there, thank you for your question. Yes, the 3040RS will work for a 2020 Ford F150, but for general information like to read and clear the check engine light, Smog readiness, charging system test, and more, but will NOT work for in-depth systems like ABS. That vehicle is still too new and should be under the manufacturer's warranty. We do plan to release updates to eventually be compatible to support ABS for that new vehicle in the future, but for now, is not available.
will this show timing degrees?
Hi Rick. If you want to check "Ignition Timing", you can check "Spark Adv (Ignition Timing Advance #1 Cylinder)" in the function "Powertrain Live Data" of the Innova 3040RS.

To change the language, press the M for Menu, then go to "Seleccionar idioma". With that highlighted, press the enter button (arrow pointing to the left), then select "English". Geezus 2 hours searching online ggl and innovas sights and utube and still can't find vvt live Data on my innova 3040rs ALSO! If there's more then one code stored the only information accessible is on 1st primary code absolutely nothing on additional codes stored or link to find out more ya only get details on one code

you don't have one vidio on 3040rs to show how o use it except for the little 3 minute one doesn't tell you shit wish i would never bought it should of bought a norther brand i wish i would have done my homework

To change the language back to English, first go into the "Menu". Next, scroll down to the very bottom and select "Ajustes de la herramienta". This is "Tool Settings" in Spanish. Press enter then scroll down and select "Seleccionar idioma". This is "Language selection" in Spanish. Press enter to see the "English" option, then select and press enter to change & save the language in English
