    So you mean to tell me the guy holding the gun can’t pull the trigger before you raise your hands up and grab the gun?

    • @FatherManus
      @FatherManus Год назад +52

      Yes because their reaction time is not nearly as good as you think. By the time the register movement the hands are already on the gun. And that’s not even considering how easily they can be distracted to give you even more time to disarm.

    • @nathanfox320
      @nathanfox320 Год назад +34

      As with any firearm, it's meant to be used as a distanced weapon. It's not a knife or blunt object, you don't have to be right up next to them. This does happen, and if you think it doesn't, Google reaction times. As the old saying goes, you don't have to be faster than the bullet, you have to be faster than the aggressor. If you are ever attempting a robbery or anything of that kind, with a firearm, keep your distance. It's been shown in studies that it takes a distance of roughly 15 feet for a cop to draw their gun on a suspect charging/running down on them. With that knowledge in mind, it is completely feasible that a criminal can be disarmed if they come too close to you. Yes, some things are unpreventable, but with proper training and the right skill set, you would be blown away how many times you can actually disarm someone with a weapon on you, especially such as a firearm. Happens every day.

      the thing is most robbers don't expect the victims to be ballsy and pull off that kind of resistance. Most of them just want to scare those people into giving up, they don't want to risk firing it and go to prison for a long time. (ofc I'm excluding the mega psycho serial killers, it's not like the US is Gotham or anything)

      Triggers can shoot until it is told to react by the brain which has to interpret a movement by the victim and then decide to shoot after stopping all thoughts The criminal has related to rape, abduction, murder, transportation, witnesses, exit from the situation, acquisition of property from the victim all of that Hass to stop and then they decide to shoot based upon a movement they think is threatening.

      @DetroitThreatManagementCenter  2 года назад +3

      Wrong lol absolutely incorrect on every point, most people are killed by someone they know and 9 out 10 women are killed by an intimate partner. That means they get close.
      Abductors, rapists and murders do no allow space between them and their victim otherwise the victors will run away or pull a weapon.
      You do not know these things because this is not your industry and you don’t have experience in dealing with violent armed individuals and gangs and that is why we are teaching so people like you can learn before it’s too late.

      People are hating because they are ignorant and or jealous of our system and our success. We are the only training organization that teachers from real life experience in dealing with violent criminals that have intend to kill people. The only reason we know what we know is because we actually protect people in real life from actual violent individuals and gangs. There is no other channel on RUclips or any other social media platform that teaches how to protect people from violent individuals and gangs based on experience that the instructor and their team members have actually protecting people in real life. This means that the people teaching have no idea what actually happens in real life because they have not been covered in blood and had to deal with violence situation and encounter the police and make police reports and do it legally. This is why you will not find anyone telling you what to do legally and they don’t understand the psychology of survival because it’s not something they have had to deal with. Thank you for your support please continue to make positive statements in the comments they are much appreciate it.

  • @danielhill8200
    @danielhill8200 Год назад +1

    The folks questioning the ability to grab the slide before the person pulls the trigger needs to think a little more. If a person threatens you by holding you at gunpoint while robbing you obviously isn’t looking to commit murder, that’s why they’re holding you at gun point instead of killing you then looting your corpse. So they’re not going to be looking for any movement as a sign to engage the trigger. They’re going to be making note of their surroundings and going to most likely ask you to empty your pockets, regardless they’re paying attention to multiple things not hyper focused for the first sign of movement on you.
    So in a holdup, odds are you could perform this action. Which does require the person to be knowledgeable about handguns to understand if this action is possible.

    Something I never understood in Hollywood movies. Why point a gun at point blank range? It’s just as deadly 5 feet away.

    • @DetroitThreatManagementCenter
      @DetroitThreatManagementCenter  2 года назад +2

      The reason violent criminals and police officers point guns at very close ranges to people is because if they do not the person that they’re pointing the gun at will simply run away or they will pull out a gun. The reason you’re pointing gun especially a pistol at a person is to get containment and control. If a person wanted to kill a person they would use something much more powerful like a shotgun or rifle. Although pistols can kill because they have very low foot pounds of power they do not create a long term wound cavity and therefore eight out of 10 people that get shot by pistols survive. In many situations police officers have shot criminals that intern shot and killed the police officer unfortunately. In the case of violent criminals who pull out guns on people it is imperative that they do not let their victims runaway and they don’t want lots of witnesses so they have to get very very close with a gun and in situations where they want to kill someone it’s very personal so the violent criminal wants to be very close they can experience causing the injury and suffering to the victim.
      This is why we teach so you can understand and have a safer quality of life. Majority of people are killed by someone they know in very close quarters. Thousands of women and children are killed by there fathers or mothers boyfriends. Hundreds of children and men are killed by mothers females in the household. The vast majority of violent crimes very close and often personal.
      On this channel you were learning from the people that are actually out protecting people in real life and we gained experience over the 27 years that no other school teaching online has because they do not train and go out and protect people in real life only we do that.

      Yes you are correct most martial arts and sports fighting instructors and trainers do tell you that you should give up when someone pulls a gun and that is because what they do is not for survival. When they are being honest they will tell you do not fight people with knives and guns because they don’t know what to do. We have spent 27 years protecting peoples lives using our training and we’ve done so successfully for thousands of families without fail. None of our team members are dead and we’ve had over 3500 team members here in Detroit fighting violent individuals and gang members most of which were armed with some type of weapon. What happened if the person holding the gun pulls the gun back? 👀

    • @DetroitThreatManagementCenter
      @DetroitThreatManagementCenter  2 года назад +1

      Nothing happens because the disarm is done moving forward and restricting the attackers gun from redirecting towards the defender.

    But the first instict of the gun wielder is to pull the gun back which would reset the slide allowing him to pull the trigger and release the hammer.
    Just snap the wrist......and restomp the groin.

      Dummy is a person that thinks you can pull a gun away after a person grabbed the gun, many dead armed prison guards tried and died that’s why prison guards do not have guns around unruffled prisoners.

      FYI- revolvers are much easier to disarm and you can see it in our other videos both hammerless and with a hammer already clocked back.

    what exactly prevented it from firing? did he pull the slide back removing the round from the firing position?

    • @DetroitThreatManagementCenter
      @DetroitThreatManagementCenter  2 года назад +1

      Yes it cannot fire when the slide is pushed the rear even a small amount correct if you push far enough the bullet will extract from the breach and be ejected from the port.

    What if they already cocked it and chambered a round tho ???

    • @mementomori4602
      @mementomori4602 Год назад

      Well the point of this is that when the slide is pulled back you can't fire the gun. even when the gun is chambered you can still rack the slide back, when you pull pack the slide a round would be ejected from the chamber(if there is one in there) and the next round wouldn't load into the chamber until the slide is pushed forward
