Why does he lie about the smallest thing? He could have just said I took her to the hospital instead of lying. If you can lie about anything, how do you expect people to trust you? Even if he didn’t cheat, it puts a crack in the trust you have for each other.
This isn't the first time she's seen them together and called him and he lied saying he was doing something else, in surgery...anything but the truth because he had promised to keep his distance from this woman - but doesn't. He's not committed enough to be true to his word. He acts like someone newly dating where things aren't defined yet, though they are way past this stage. I think more than debauchery, villainy, lying, etc... in these shows - the worst thing is that the mates are never believed but scolded or lied to if subject is mentioned, for the continuation of the 'other' relationship. These new, or old-new comebackers,' words and actions are taken as supreme truths. I'm always baffled about why the current people known to them wouldn't have a track record gauging their honesty and what they more likely will and won't do - at maybe 75% accuracy on how well you know your family friends lovers. I mean...just giving away trust as if it shouldn't be earned... meanwhile destroying current bonds and your own earned trust... 🤔🙄!

And the writers are so inept that she actually ends up with this clown thus keeping alive the male fantasy that as long as he says "sorry" any moronic behaviour must be acceptable. to the female lead.
That's because they categorize all of this as misunderstanding unless there is physical cheating. The point is he lied to her, reason doesn't matter. I saw another series where throughout the series ML confided more in SFL because the FL was much younger and hence not mature enough. She was hurt constantly but because he was not with SFL physically, all of this was a "misunderstanding " and they ended up together. One series, I stopped watching coz the ML slapped FL and all except 1 friend told her that she was overreacting since he was under pressure coz of work and FL wrongly accused him of being with SFL with whom he used to spend majority of his time. So, now I pick and choose after watching shorts.
