They glorify these sick people by giving out motivations, their kill count compared to other shootings, the weapon used, their past, social medias, and give them a platform. They won’t make a major motion picture out of this. It’s weird to frame events like this as being worthy or unworthy of films but the Boston bombing was a much more reported case and the manhunt spanned several days. It was a couple days before we even knew who the suspects were. As for a documentary or an episode of a crime show about it that’s pretty much inevitably going to happen.
We’ve been desensitized to the point that unless you kill 20+, people won’t remember the shooter. I don’t even know the names of the Florida and Connecticut shooters, and those are relatively recent
He dropped the gun under a blanket on the way out just before he blended into the crowd. He was the recent purchaser of the gun and the search was on. An APB was put out to all law enforcement and all over the media what type of car he was in. I think a citizen reported seeing it and a cop saw him drive by. Cop called for backup and they made the traffic stop after a short chase.
