With split endings and such, I think its after you clear the game on normal with all the teams, including both endings (or use the scoreboard cheat) you can use the solo chars. There was also plans to make youmu and sakuya stage 4 bosses but was cut due to time constraints.

Actually, I had 1cced it with the Ghost Team on the 14th. After some tests and rewatching, it's my mistake :( I'm so sorrrrry ... I understood my mistake, it's because it's IN: a touhou created to be run in no-focus due to it's 'time' point system. For any other Touhou, this game style will be impossible (maybe an exception for SA with ReimuC ?).
the bullet velocity is much much higher. I find it harder than normal keine non spell. Although it is a denser pattern in normal, it is very easy to weave through.
You have to clear the game with the duo and then later on you unlock the option to play with both, only Youmu or only Yuyuko and that counts for all duo's :)
