    Great! I loved watching the video...I have been receiving Taxi's emails and this video makes it all so much closer for me as a musician living across the Atlantic and where I am not able to come to the great seminars you offer. So from the bottom of my heart. THANKS!

    I only have four words for those who are blind enough to fall for this. Don't believe the hype. Whenever somebody "charges" you to listen to your music, run. Like the wind, RUN!!!

    TAXI...Pay $300.00 to join. Then pay (2 years ago) $5.00 per song sending in your songs to be critiqued for categories they mail you saying film/TV, etc looking for this and that. This video you're watching is a "free" seminar in California each year. Umm..You pay your way there and I think the $300.00 sign on fee covers their seminar. That's $300.00 a year. Not one time. They make it sound good. I was told a sad song I wrote was not sad enough because there were too many sharp notes.

    Exactly there are too many young people running everything in entertainment who basically know marketing and nothing else!! Talent has little to do with the equation in the last 20 years! I feel for people over 30 or 40 like myself and some seriously creative people I know.

    Hey , im just a curious kid and I have ´built´ some tunes on my computer. I think they’re really good. I really love music, but i´m afraid of majoring in music, because of this.

    You should buy books on making it in the business (google/Amazon it). attend craft shows and seminars like the one u see here, meet alll kinds of people, attend talent shows (don't be elitist, attend everything lol) and network network network. Read up bios of people who have made it and you'll be surprised at how much work they've put into their work. Good luck. "Passion, Persistence, Patience and Professionalism" and you'll succeed.

    I really think the 'record' companies havingbeen consistantly making a major mistake. I am 59 years old. I by and record my own music. i love music and i don't give a darn how old the composer or the Artists is. However, there are alot, and i do mean alot, of people who do not buy music because it is from they younger crowd. Good music is good music. JHP

    Michael has the unique ability to make us swallow bitter music industry pills, smiling all the way. Youth? Bleh. Give me these new facial lines born of the passion, sorrow and smiles of my 30s over those heinous teen years.

    TO EVERYONE OVER 21, DON'T BE DISCOURAGED, THE INDUSTRY ADAPTS TO NEW TALENTS AND NEW IDEAS EVERYDAY, IT IS NOT A COOKIE CUTTER, DO YOUR THING AND YOU WILL BE NOTICED. I'M 22 AND AM GETTING SIGNED. Sarah Vaughn
    Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald all became stars after 30!! GO 4 IT!

    In regards to age they have got it wrong !!!
    As you get older you experience more of life, therefore you mature, your music matures etc etc. Music is expressing your emotions/experiences.
    One in their 40's won't have anything in common with one in their 20's still experiencing the ups & downs of life. Their music won't relate to one twice their age.
    But one thing that bothers me the most are fabricated bands & the likes of simon cowell who can turn untalented kids into 'cough' stars !

  • @BWPGuy
    @BWPGuy 12 лет назад +1

    thats exactly why music sucks these days ..and trust me its SUCKS- talking about main stream ..its age . They want young kids under 21 ..soooo all the record companies mope around trying to figure out WHY they cant capture the "magic" of the 70's ..thats why- no musical talent..the people looking for talent are young as well..TAKES TALENT TO NOTICE TALENT folks..
