Thanks Beaver! Love your work! Just made my first brandy, cheap PinotNoir and Chardonnay wine blend in my little air still just to try it out. I have added some fruit to get a bit of infusion to see how it comes out after spirit run and some age. Just trying to try the air still and wet my feet on brandy.
Just started a wheat whiskey this morning I pitched my yeast. 5 lbs frosted shredded wheat… was the cheapest, cherry wood smoked. 5 lbs red malted wheat, Us-05. Cannot wait!!!

My first brandy I did was based on your last rasin and grape juice video, used to add some dried orange peel and dried lemon peel to it. Since then I've also dropped the sugar addition, I hydrate the rains in boiling water then blitz them up. It'll be interesting to see the f difference between the hydrating and this method. Lekker vid boet, keep it up

    Hallo Beaver
Is dit charcoal wat jy in die vaatjie saam met die brandewyn sit? Hoeveel. Het die brandewyn met die druiwesap gemaak en het baie lekker uitgekom

Question? Did you put it in the barrel at 140%. You don’t think the ethonol will pull too much tannin

    Nice one mate :)
Did you run the reflux condenser during the whole stripping run or just in the beginning to compress the heads?

I was gonna edit my post, but it turned out OK. I took my, " egg barrel "and added some DAP. After a while I was ok. Still not sure how it came to be. I know there's other than methanol etc....

Hi Beaver, did you get any sulphur through stripping run? When i did a raisin only wash, i got allot of sulphur smell and had to add copper for the spirit run

I see that you have a false bottom in your still. Do you find it to be helpful?
