Interested in why you chose the Permatrim rather than hydrofoil wing(s). I've used hydrofoil wings on 50-75hp outboards and found them very effective in reducing bow lift whilst also not interfering with power trim.
Apart from the performance reviews I read about the Permatrim I also liked the fact that it came in the matching Yamaha blue/grey paint. Looks like a factory part.
Hi mate ive just purchased same motor and identical looking hydrofoil from oz propellers. Before you bolted yours down did it sit flush on your cav plate? Mine sits up a fair bit but Oz props rekons this is normal and will flex down when i bolt it up however the gap looks massive between the foil n plate. Im a bit reluctant to drill into my new outboard and waste 180 bukeroos on something that wont mount properly.
Hey Scott, nah my one also didn't sit 100% flat at first but it did once it was bolted down. I also shat my pants about drilling into my nice shiny outboard. For me well worth it.
To be honest the Yamaha 25hp has so much power being fuel injected that I’m never on full throttle, I’m normally use 3/4 throttle to get onto the plane then back off to half. Steering is easy as I tighten up the tiller handle to firm to reduce the amount of side to side movement.

Minor point, but your sound quality isn’t helped by background music when you’re talking. Otherwise, great video.
gets u on plane faster but doesn't it slow top speed and make steering funny?

No
Looking good. Are you using transom saver for transportation?
Yes I do use a transom saver, this will be in the next video as a few people have asked about it. Cheers for the comment.
