It's an SMG that goes BRRRRRT and you don't gotta pay premium for, what's not to love? I feel there is this bias against ballistic automatic weapons in sci-fi games because they're simple, ordinary guns. We know these types of weapons already, seen them before, and that's why people like me favor them. In a futuristic setting full of explosive bolts, laser beams, and plasma blasters, why would you want to take a boring gun that shoots normal bullets? But I like the charm of that. I like ballistic weapons and how grounded they look and feel in comparison to other crazy gun designs, how meaty they sound compared to the "pew pew" of energy weapons. It feels mechanical, practical, and solid. It isn't flashy, it doesn't have to be. As long as it shoots bullets and does its role well, the DAKKA brain in me is satisfied.

Yeah i’m a big fan of the new KILLZONE additions. The SMG is a slightly lower dps Knight, but with more manageable recoil so it winds up being better (1,000 rpm is still plenty). The StA52 AR is the reverse, it’s a Liberator with a bigger mag and higher dps with still very manageable recoil (800 ish rpm hits the sweetspot for an AR for me at least) so ends up being far more capable of handling targets like alphas before they kill you.
@RuTube981 I wouldn't have a problem with the sights, but give me heavy pen, 10 round and 5-strip reload for it. That weapon could've been a proper low rate heavy punch primary with not easy to use optics. "But it is supposed to be bad" argument for it always boils my blood
Something important to remember is that these are collab weapons, which in my opinion would be unfair if they were better than the regular game weapons since if some people for whatever reason didn’t playing during the collab then they wouldn’t really be missing much, it’s kinda hard to explain but if you know what I’m trying to say then you would agree
Arrowhead have stated that the collab gear is in the super shop rotation so they’ll always come back. I picked up the weapon this time but I’ll be saving my super credits for when the armours next return.
I think they should be on par with every other weapon in the game. Shouldn’t outshine or be overshadowed by the other weapons. If not there’s not much point to use it. I like new sniper but needs more ammo. Having more good options to choose from gives us more gameplay choices.

My guess is they’ll give it 18 shots because the magazine has 3 cylinders that light up and then turn off when you shoot. They’ll make it two shots per cylinder in order to not mess with the weapon model.
When I used the accelerator on a tripod earlier it wasn't too bad. I could destroy the shield and arc fin easily (3-4 bursts for both). Afterwards it only took two burst to finish it off. Something I did notice though is that if you shoot the joint farther out away from the body it seems to deal no damage. Shooting the joint closer to the body did a ton of damage though. Will have to test some more
Interesting. I'll have to do more testing with it then because I got different results. I tested it on about 4 of them, and struggled to kill them each time to the leg joint. I think the quickest I killed one in was about 5 leg shots but the shield kept coming back by the time I reloaded.
PSA: The Sta-11 SMG has a glitch with reloading currently. Look at the weapons mag count from 6:27 to 6:33. You will notice that interrupting the reload will make you lose an extra mag.

i do like how the game is moving forward, but if i should complain about one thing more? smg and assault rifles needs to go 60-80-100 mag capacity, i dont want it right now but i would love to see it in 2025

Sniper is pure heat imo, deals with all big enemies pretty nice and accurate, just run a flamethrower/stalwart, death laser, and last two of your choosing, I’m partial to the rocket, Gatling, and auto cannon turrets for bots, no laser needed, and then everything else I run Gatling, Auto-cannon, and flamethrower turret, I cannot emphasize how nice the flamethrower turret and gun itself feels and deals with both squids and bugs, genuinely euphoric to burn em to the ground. Also I recommend impact nades on illuminant with thermite for bots and a mix between thermite or impact for bugs, i personally enjoy sticking a thermite to the head of a bile Titan and running the hell away.
I feel like light armor pen guns are just becoming more and more useless. You really kinda need at LEAST a medium pen weapon, especially against the terminids, with how much armor plating they have. Giving us two light pen guns that are very much the same is just a little underwhelming. The Accelerator I can see having some use at least, when paired up with a secondary or support gun that can serve as chaff clearing.
That's what I've seen people say, but there's no way. It takes at least a few bursts to take out the shield then another few to take out the leg. Maybe if you broke the shield with a different weapon first and then shot it, I could see it maybe only taking 4.
i would love to see a fire-mode change for the new sniper. the burst is definitely great but id love the option for just single shot semi auto as well, other than that i think its pretty much perfect, exceptional against devastators and striders
I was really disappointed that it didn't have a fire selector, when I heard it shoots in 3 bullet bursts I knew it would be the hot garbage Also it can't kill Hulks
The plas39 works great with the stalwart or arc thrower, jump pack and the new light armor set. Its very fun to basically play a sniper/recon role with it. And with the jump pack you can easily escape any bigger groups.
A solo build for automatons if y’all wanna try it Weapons: - PLAS-39 accelerator rifle (medium enemies, as well as gunships) - CQC-19 stun lance (when they get to close) - G-4 gas grenade (supplementary chaff clear, recommended use for patrols, big groups, heavy enemies, or fabricators) Armor: - Body:PH-202 twig snapper (the handling makes the primary very powerful, and allows good melee combat) - Helmet: PH-202 twig snapper - Cape: martyris rex (the white/green matches pimrary/armor) Stratagems: - Quasar cannon: (anti tank) - Eagle air strike: (anti tank, chaff clear, fabricator boom boom) - Eagle cluster bomb: (BIG chaff, very important) - Ballistic shield: (allows melee combat without having to worry about getting shot. can help you clear bases, and provides excellent partial coverage for retreating or moving position) Booster: - stamina enhancement: (It’s very important to stay moving to avoid big cannons/rockets. Also vital for good meme combat to avoid hits, and re engage) This is a solo build I found is pretty fun, and effective for my style of play
If there one thing I don’t like about the new weapons it’s that the sniper is a triple burst which kills the weapon since just about any medium armoured enemy will flinch and make the rest of the burst miss
I think it is worth to mentiom that the Accelerator kills the automaton gunships in 4-5 shots hitting anywhere on the thing. 4 if you hit the weak spots.
In part one of the killzone crossover update, we received Helghast uniform, helghast assault rifle etc. I was really hoping that in part 2, we would receive gear from the opposing faction, e.g; an ISA uniform or the ISA's assault rifle which came with an underslung.Grenade launcher. I think that would have been better to do, then to solely focus on only one faction from Killzone. I used to play Killzone way back in the day with my friends, we have played all of them, fantastic games, and when we saw this cross over come out, we were pretty hyped.
Out of my 500 hours ive probably played the dilegence counter sniper against the bot front 50% of my playtime. I was dying to see another hard hitting precision rifle. While i wish that you could change the burst to be one shot, doing the same amount of damage as the three shots, i gave the accellerator a try and absolutely love it
Issue with Accelerator is, for me, its gonna be compared to my CS Diligence which can deal with chaff when necessary, can still hunt big game, and also has the long range to snipe to deliver the full damage whereas the Accelerator can potentially lose out with a missed round (especially with its stagger when going for headshots on overseers even if it can potentially one-burst). From my experience however, I think its best to pair it with the redeemer or full auto version as your “chaff” gun, the Accelerator as your larger game hunter, and the backpack as whatever (Supply/Jet + Support or just backpack support weapon)
There cross over weapons there mean to be closer to what you get from killzone so there not going to really change them much. Like the sniper rifle. That's going to keep the 3 round mag because that's what the original one had. If anything they would just give us more overall ammo

I was hoping the SMG might go like I've seen it in cod have a big magazine like 90-100 rounds and a moderate fire rate so it feels closer to a primary lmg of sorts where you can really just keep on shooting
The Accelerator against the Overseers is a huge trap. It's really bad in terms of ammo economy. It takes 4 direct hits to kill an Overseer with the Accelerator, but since it fires in bursts of three, it's always going to be ammo inefficient. There's no real reason to use the Accelerator over the Purifier considering the Purifier has more ammo, has a better AOE radius, does more damage for the same charging time, isn't locked to burst-fire only, and can be spammed if you really need it. The only thing going for the Accelerator is a better scope/potential range, but against the Illuminate 90% of the time you're going to be fighting at less than 50m inside city biomes.
I love that smg feels just like it did in Killzone, shreds at close range. Wish they gave it a damn flashlight though. Pair that with a ballistic shield and it is excellent against bots and illuminate. My Breacher build is significantly better with its addition.
I feel like the new sniper is going to be good paired with the new warbond armor for more ammo and then a supply pack for constant reloads. Just me thinking about it tho as I have yet to try it
Tbh I want a super earth flag to carry in my offhand like in the opening trailer while i use this new SMG. Bonus points if i can melee with it and/or it gives me and my teammates some kind of bonus lol
I would like to know :What are the Pros and cons of the forward shield compared to the ballistic shield i mean i see one glaring disadvantage ... the power capacity ...or rather that it has to rely on that to begin with the Balistic shield is awesome against Bots because it makes you more or less immune against 60% of their BS and i haven't tried it out against the squids yet but unless the energy weapons outright ignore the shield i dont see a real reason to take the new one over it (I am also fully aware that melee ignores these shields)
The forward shield can cover your teams as well as yourself but unlike the ballistic shield the shield can only block certain amount Both can’t handle explosive rocket Another pros that the forward shield has is that it not cancer to aim in first person Though to be honest with you there is no reason why you can’t used two handed weapon with the forward shield
Every weapon has its moments. Like irl different weapons do different things. With the accelerator i use it to take out the armour and jet pack guys and I use a stalwart for the voteless. Pick your moments and don’t just use 1 weapon and think you’re a badass. We are just soldiers not master chief

Just wanted to point out something… when shooting the tentacle monster shoot the bright orange part on his neck I hear you complaining about it but I kill them in 1-2 bursts on the orange part of their neck.
I'd like some more space weapons tbh....I want a Mr Freeze style gun that absolutely wrecks and freezes the smaller gimps, but takes more to take on the bigger baddies. Also be cool if it didn't work on hot planets so well, but was brutal on colder planets. Also just happy the studio is still releasing stuff :)
Plasma or Laser Minigun? With a slow firerate like the Concusiv but with high pen and plash damage and maybe about 100 per mag (plasma). The other one with light or medium pen, high firerate and about infinite ammo (laser)?
charge up is short, and makes the weapon firing noises only alert nearby enemies within 10 meters. burst part is practically none exostamt when you consider it 3 shots per reload instead of 9.
The assault rifle feels like the carbine liberator. The SMG feels like a literal reskin of the knight. The rifle is the only one that kinda works, but then again, Eruptor and Plas Scorcher exist. I feel like they didn't really think this collab through, besides the cosmetic side of things of course.
The guns are 1 to 1 version of the guns in killzone, could have pick different weapons but these are the ones we got The assault rifle is a combination of three assault rifle ( the ammo of concussive, the fire rate of carbine and the recoil of the liberator) The smg fire slower and has two bullet less then the knight but has better recoil The rifle didn’t transfer from pvp to pve horde shooter too well in my opinion

Okay, I will definitely give _Arrowhead_ the kudos here for this, this honestly was the best way to handle this debacle since it was such egregious price-gouging and ultimately a backtrack on one of the things Arrowhead stated they _wouldn't_ do when they first dropped this game which is to engage in Fomo. I think all guns are "junk" or rather balanced to the point you can use either of its competitor equally. The regular rifle feels like your regular liberator but with faster fire rate but no scope. The SMG feels like the knight but with bigger mag size. The Plasma one its like a more accurate Purifier, I'd prob still use the purifier due to the fact that the charge shot has decent aoe and better ammo economy.
There are many iconic weapons in Killzone they could've picked, the accelerator is good, but the other two are highkey underwhelming, so let's hope in the unrevealed ones

Depends what your hitting it with. the limb concetionis the weak spot, if you can reliably hit it. The head has a 125% damage modifier, but way more hp. So your asking if your weapon can hit the smaller more mobile target and do durability damage numbers.
100 rnds for the bizon and the burst sniper need 18 shots and change the way the guns looks with the batteries on the left side and at them to the right since each battery is a single burst and give it the wonderwauf reload kind of a nod to zombies lol
Give me a juggernaut/ powerarmor, armor stratagem. And a big sword stratagem. With a sword primary. I just want to jump in and start slicing everything in my way. Bonus points if i can do a charge move with the armor on.
This weapon is definitely best versus the bots because of the long range engagement distances

For the accelerator, I recommend bringing the dagger laser pistol as it has almost limitless ammo. Also using it with the jump pack is great
I bring the revolver because it’s a great backup, especially when getting charged

See as much as I like it the eruptor one taps shields at 100 meters or more and can stun lock tripods

I wondered if something was up. Yesterday we set down into a cluster fck and I was mashing buttons while reloading and I went from 6 to 4.
Crossbow is still far better than this thing. If it had more explosive power or more ammunition per clip, then it'd have a chance.
crossbow is good but it sucks in horde clearing at close range. it is good at horde clearing for medium range tho.

Its a sniper rifle class, not a DMR. So semi auto doesnt make sense.

A solo build for automatons if y’all wanna try it
Weapons:
- PLAS-39 accelerator rifle (medium enemies, as well as gunships)
- CQC-19 stun lance (when they get to close)
- G-4 gas grenade (supplementary chaff clear, recommended use for patrols, big groups, heavy enemies, or fabricators)
Armor:
- Body:PH-202 twig snapper (the handling makes the primary very powerful, and allows good melee combat)
- Helmet: PH-202 twig snapper
- Cape: martyris rex (the white/green matches pimrary/armor)
Stratagems:
- Quasar cannon: (anti tank)
- Eagle air strike: (anti tank, chaff clear, fabricator boom boom)
- Eagle cluster bomb: (BIG chaff, very important)
- Ballistic shield: (allows melee combat without having to worry about getting shot. can help you clear bases, and provides excellent partial coverage for retreating or moving position)
Booster:
- stamina enhancement: (It’s very important to stay moving to avoid big cannons/rockets. Also vital for good meme combat to avoid hits, and re engage)
This is a solo build I found is pretty fun, and effective for my style of play
You should try accelerator supply backpack and grenade launcher

If there one thing I don’t like about the new weapons it’s that the sniper is a triple burst which kills the weapon since just about any medium armoured enemy will flinch and make the rest of the burst miss
I think it is worth to mentiom that the Accelerator kills the automaton gunships in 4-5 shots hitting anywhere on the thing. 4 if you hit the weak spots.
In part one of the killzone crossover update, we received Helghast uniform, helghast assault rifle etc. I was really hoping that in part 2, we would receive gear from the opposing faction, e.g; an ISA uniform or the ISA's assault rifle which came with an underslung.Grenade launcher. I think that would have been better to do, then to solely focus on only one faction from Killzone. I used to play Killzone way back in the day with my friends, we have played all of them, fantastic games, and when we saw this cross over come out, we were pretty hyped.
Out of my 500 hours ive probably played the dilegence counter sniper against the bot front 50% of my playtime. I was dying to see another hard hitting precision rifle. While i wish that you could change the burst to be one shot, doing the same amount of damage as the three shots, i gave the accellerator a try and absolutely love it
Issue with Accelerator is, for me, its gonna be compared to my CS Diligence which can deal with chaff when necessary, can still hunt big game, and also has the long range to snipe to deliver the full damage whereas the Accelerator can potentially lose out with a missed round (especially with its stagger when going for headshots on overseers even if it can potentially one-burst).
From my experience however, I think its best to pair it with the redeemer or full auto version as your “chaff” gun, the Accelerator as your larger game hunter, and the backpack as whatever (Supply/Jet + Support or just backpack support weapon)
Oh yea, i say this but I love the Stal assault rifle to death. Kinetic guns for life!
There cross over weapons there mean to be closer to what you get from killzone so there not going to really change them much. Like the sniper rifle. That's going to keep the 3 round mag because that's what the original one had. If anything they would just give us more overall ammo
The smg shreds bots and bugs but that light pen holds it back you would think since no attachments or rate of fire change youd at least have medium pen but i guess not rip
I was hoping the SMG might go like I've seen it in cod have a big magazine like 90-100 rounds and a moderate fire rate so it feels closer to a primary lmg of sorts where you can really just keep on shooting

The Accelerator against the Overseers is a huge trap. It's really bad in terms of ammo economy. It takes 4 direct hits to kill an Overseer with the Accelerator, but since it fires in bursts of three, it's always going to be ammo inefficient. There's no real reason to use the Accelerator over the Purifier considering the Purifier has more ammo, has a better AOE radius, does more damage for the same charging time, isn't locked to burst-fire only, and can be spammed if you really need it. The only thing going for the Accelerator is a better scope/potential range, but against the Illuminate 90% of the time you're going to be fighting at less than 50m inside city biomes.
Ok but when are they going to add the deployable stratagem for the dam vehicle we just got?

feels just like it did in Killzone, shreds at close range. Wish they gave it a damn flashlight though.
Pair that with a ballistic shield and it is excellent against bots and illuminate. My Breacher build is significantly better with its addition.
The weapon hits so hard you need 2 burst to kill a overseer.....and it has 3 burst in a mag
The new smg is basically the poor man's Knight, with like 2 less rounds in the magazine and slower fire rate aka better handling.
I love the plasma rifle, is so cool if you take a suport weap
I feel like the new sniper is going to be good paired with the new warbond armor for more ammo and then a supply pack for constant reloads. Just me thinking about it tho as I have yet to try it
Tbh I want a super earth flag to carry in my offhand like in the opening trailer while i use this new SMG. Bonus points if i can melee with it and/or it gives me and my teammates some kind of bonus lol

I would like to know :What are the Pros and cons of the forward shield compared to the ballistic shield i mean i see one glaring disadvantage ... the power capacity ...or rather that it has to rely on that to begin with the Balistic shield is awesome against Bots because it makes you more or less immune against 60% of their BS and i haven't tried it out against the squids yet but unless the energy weapons outright ignore the shield i dont see a real reason to take the new one over it
(I am also fully aware that melee ignores these shields)
The forward shield can cover your teams as well as yourself but unlike the ballistic shield the shield can only block certain amount
Both can’t handle explosive rocket
Another pros that the forward shield has is that it not cancer to aim in first person
Though to be honest with you there is no reason why you can’t used two handed weapon with the forward shield
We need a deployable helicopter with a mini gun, some new flying enemies
The SMG being used with the supply pack on bugs is the way

Every weapon has its moments. Like irl different weapons do different things. With the accelerator i use it to take out the armour and jet pack guys and I use a stalwart for the voteless. Pick your moments and don’t just use 1 weapon and think you’re a badass. We are just soldiers not master chief
Tip: Just use the purifier or scorcher instead of the Accelerator.
I just WANT an official statement from A.H WHY ARE YOU SO SCARED OF A MEDIUM PEN WEAPON GEEZ realistically it makes no sense that we have so many weapons now but only like 5 have medium pen support weapons dont count thats heavy weaponry i just want a good medium pen assault rifle the adjudicator was and still is a marksman rifle the lib pen just sucks too low damage and i need to use Half of my mag to kill a chainsaw bot no thanks only ones left are becoming meta the scorcher the purifier, crossbow, the counter sniper, now the new plasma sniper has it but yet again another energy weapon so it has built-in explosive damage which doesn't count but just pointing out the obvious
I really cant wrap my head around why they make every weapon between mid and ass. The game would be one of the best games of all time if they made the guns good and just let people have fun in a damn PvE game.
I really like them both but they are very niche. Sniper is only useful vs bots really, and SMG vs Illuminate.

Just wanted to point out something… when shooting the tentacle monster shoot the bright orange part on his neck I hear you complaining about it but I kill them in 1-2 bursts on the orange part of their neck.
i would love a medium pen compound bow primary for stealth
I'd like some more space weapons tbh....I want a Mr Freeze style gun that absolutely wrecks and freezes the smaller gimps, but takes more to take on the bigger baddies. Also be cool if it didn't work on hot planets so well, but was brutal on colder planets.

Plasma or Laser Minigun? With a slow firerate like the Concusiv but with high pen and plash damage and maybe about 100 per mag (plasma).
The other one with light or medium pen, high firerate and about infinite ammo (laser)?

charge up is short, and makes the weapon firing noises only alert nearby enemies within 10 meters.
burst part is practically none exostamt when you consider it 3 shots per reload instead of 9.

The assault rifle feels like the carbine liberator. The SMG feels like a literal reskin of the knight. The rifle is the only one that kinda works, but then again, Eruptor and Plas Scorcher exist. I feel like they didn't really think this collab through, besides the cosmetic side of things of course.
The guns are 1 to 1 version of the guns in killzone, could have pick different weapons but these are the ones we got
The assault rifle is a combination of three assault rifle ( the ammo of concussive, the fire rate of carbine and the recoil of the liberator)
The smg fire slower and has two bullet less then the knight but has better recoil
The rifle didn’t transfer from pvp to pve horde shooter too well in my opinion

Okay, I will definitely give _Arrowhead_ the kudos here for this, this honestly was the best way to handle this debacle since it was such egregious price-gouging and ultimately a backtrack on one of the things Arrowhead stated they _wouldn't_ do when they first dropped this game which is to engage in Fomo.

I think all guns are "junk" or rather balanced to the point you can use either of its competitor equally.
The regular rifle feels like your regular liberator but with faster fire rate but no scope.
The SMG feels like the knight but with bigger mag size.
The Plasma one its like a more accurate Purifier, I'd prob still use the purifier due to the fact that the charge shot has decent aoe and better ammo economy.
There are many iconic weapons in Killzone they could've picked, the accelerator is good, but the other two are highkey underwhelming, so let's hope in the unrevealed ones

Aim for the eye with the Harvester. It does take a few mags, but it's faster than shooting it's legs.

Depends what your hitting it with. the limb concetionis the weak spot, if you can reliably hit it.
The head has a 125% damage modifier, but way more hp.
So your asking if your weapon can hit the smaller more mobile target and do durability damage numbers.

100 rnds for the bizon and the burst sniper need 18 shots and change the way the guns looks with the batteries on the left side and at them to the right since each battery is a single burst and give it the wonderwauf reload kind of a nod to zombies lol
