"Butters" comes from an in joke. Theres a producer on the show, Eric Stough, who's kind of meek and talks a bit like Butters, so they used to call him their "Little buddy", which became "Budders", and eventually they created Butters as a tribute.
I never knew that, I thought it was a play on words. Butters Stotch = Butterscotch cause he was a sweet kid.
makes it even funnier the real inspiration for butters is named eric in real life 😂

Chef's "Whoa..." when he sees the troupe is low key one of the funniest deliveries in the entire show. Like even after all he's seen in South Park, Stan dancing with a pro videogamer, a Columbine kid, a juvenile stripper and a duck is what stops him in his tracks.
Hobbs when I was younger I got served pretty badly. I went directly home, cried to my parents then slept for a few days. To this day I still remember how embarrassing the serving was and swore to never forget such a crucial moment in my life. Well, just wanted to mention that here. Have a great day!

This is a top 10 episode. The cut to Randy moaning and groaning in hospital after getting served is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The fact that poor Butters holds the events of the dance competition as being his fault which were just an accident, even with all the horrific stuff other people like his parents and Cartman do to him ON PURPOSE, the poor kid is a tortured soul in every sense of the word.
