@@chrisebling850 I just bought it. When standing it wobbles. You can actually feel the movement in the legs. I expected more from the desk being this sturdy.
After watching multiple reviews of this product yours is by far the most put together and in depth one with all of the little details missing from others! 10/10
I'm considering buying the larger version of this desk, your review was the first I found of the family and I have to say it's a very well put together review, gave me all the info I was wanting as well as showing of the desk! Thanks
thank you for your review:) i ordered the magnus pro with cream white desk pad along with the dual monitor mount, premium pc mount, and the cable management kit.
As someone who has the Magnus Pro XL, I would advise against the Nanoleaf RGB. I have the dual monitor arm as well, and the location for the arm clamp and RGB overlap each other. Being as they're both magnetic, it was a faff to sort, as the strip kept coming away from the desk when trying to overlap the mounting bracket. The control panel is also in an awful place and is essentially inaccessible. The RBG is then only controllable via a bluetooth connection, and then you have to use the app just to turn it on and off. I would like to have heard how you found it? As I noticed when you were demonstrating the rest of the items, no RGB strip was visibly turned on, especially whilst demonstrating the monitor arm.
I felt really guilty splurging on this (Magnus Pro XL version) because I was about to buy a flexispot pro on sale for much cheaper (still expensive for me) but its been 3 months and its the best purchase I have made in years. The desk mat and cable tray make it feel like the best thing ever. I did not buy any extra accessories due to it already being super expensive but the desk is large enough to accommodate my PC and 32 inch monitor as well as book shelf speakers. I still had a bit of space for my pro controller audio interface and mic. The rest of the space is reserved so that I don't feel cluttered but I can certainly fit in a few smaller accessories and eat comfortably on it. The cable tray is something most people don't realize they need. I actually wouldn't recommend for just gaming. If your a young gamer and its not in your budget, a cheaper desk makes more sense but if you work from home and game, its an amazing desk for quality of life improvements. It just feels good.
I’ve had my Magnus pro XL for a month now it’s fantastic! I have the desk riser, single monitor arm, pc mount, setup looks so clean! Just some minor issues when fitting the desk riser this blocks access slightly to the cable tray, also when mounting monitor arm onto the desk riser I had to add rubber seal to stop the mount sliding about on the desk riser, the pc mount is fantastic I will buy another pc mount for my steelseries sub speaker- Magnus 👍🖖
Magnus! I've been eyeing this desk for a few years now, price is premium so it'll take a while to save up for it. Here in Singapore, it's almost a months pay worth.
Awesome review. I'm considering getting this desk. I have a question regarding the PC mounting bracket, as I have the same Lian-Li O11 XL like yours. The Lian-Li case has a removeable filter at the base. Did you remove your case's bottom filter to mount the PC into the mounting bracket?
'MAGNUS' Great review mate. Im looking at getting the XL one, but have 3 monitors to put up. Better off getting a dual mount and a single monitor mount or 3 single monitor mounts? Cheers dude
It's a shame they don't offer installation considering the price of this desk!! Lol I really want it but don't know if I can justify the price yet. Looks great though 👌
Hi geek street am seriously considering one of these for loft space in my bed room i currently for sim racing play on a front side mount edition rig from next level racing but find its too big for my room so was thinking would this desk along with a csl dd base clamped on to it with mozas clamp say and then maybe nlr 2.0 stand maybe for the pedal mount would that look good with 48 incher lg tv too or get a smaller 42 incher maybe and make a little mini triple screen setup for pc ? if you get where am coming from
I wouldn't be too keen to clamp anything on the leatherette mouse pad as it would leave a mark from the pressure. I normal Desk maybe a better option for what your suggesting
What size monitors are you using on that pic with the dual arm. Did both fit on that dual arm? Will 32 and 27 fit just fine with tower on desk on the XL? MAGNUS
Hello! and thank you for your video. Question: At the end you have an item on your desk displaying YT Geek ST, what is that item? Wondering if it's some electronic gizmo? Thinking my son would like something like that for his desk!
Hi there, Been thinking of maybe getting Magnus Pro, but one thing preventing me from doing so.. the reports of it being way too wobbly at standing heights. Are yours? As in has SecretLab solved the issue or not at this time?
So we can put our monitor on top of the cable management cover to push it all the way back? Is that cover strong enough? Want to obviously maximize the best space was was not liking how the cable management tray took away from the actual desk space. But if we are indeed able to rest the monitor on it and possible other things that would kind of solve that problem. Any issues with having items on told of this back part?
how deep is the wiring channel? I already have 2 Monitor Arms and broomstick for Microphone, I wonder will I be able to install it at the back of the dese. Will the screws with clamps be short enough to fit in that wire channel.
Can the desk riser be placed any where? Or does it have to be centered? I'm weird and have to have every thing to my left due to some disabilities and the way I sit
How did you connect the secretlab lightstrip? We connect it combination with the secretlab dual monitorarm but we had to put it below the feet of the monitorarm, is there anyway to put it between the 2 parts of the feet?
@@GeekStreet Thank you! I purchased it yesterday, and I setup today, Luckly my O11D XL Desktop fits perfectly too :) But It must be over less than 68 height to get it right
What do you think of the Secretlab Magnus Pro?
Its lit my guy🫡🫡and by the way nice choice for a desk

@chrisebling850 not something I've noticed.

me too waiting for Christmas
I've watched several videos on the desk assembly and/or review and this is by far the best of all. Thank you for this most helpful review.

This was an ideal review - concise, addressed what I needed to know, and even showed me how to build it.

07:10 the monitor arm holder can handle weight between 8 and 16 kg ,not just 8 kg.
I got the XL and I love it, I'm surprised your computer isn't to heavy for the bracket.
I thought it would be too much for it but it coped fine

Aren’t you able to mount the mic arm inside the cable tray area though? Is that possible? If you didn’t have the desk shelf there obviously
Really depends on the clamp if its small then it'll work but if its large the cable management tray gets in the way.
@@GeekStreet Thanks. Im thinking the elgato low profile arm which is what I have. So I may need to find someone that has to to try it out first. Lol
The tray depth is about 11.5cm if that helps

It amazes me the amount of quality setups people do never use dedicated hifi speakers for audio.
Hopefully planning something soon 🤞
Probably because most prefer to use a high quality headset. My neighbours would be complaining if I got myself hifi speakers.
Loud gunshots non stop from shooting games is not something you want to play out loud

1692 euros with all accessories... I need it...
When the desk is high enough to where you stand at it is it wobbly? Would love to know, thinking of getting one.
No it's very stable
@@GeekStreet alright I’ll start looking into one 👍
What was your total cost for everything you bought.
For the desk only or the whole setup including PC and Monitor etc?
@@GeekStreet desk only with accessories. I am slowly building a PC. I'll need x2 monitor for work.
Check the link in the description their website is pretty good, but as a rough estimate you'd need £1K
I think the back cover is nonsense. Makes the desk really shallow. I have big lg oled tv and I would prefer to have it all the way back
I think if it had a slot at the back that would have been fine, but then would be similar to a lot of desks out there
What screen were you using for the dual monitor arm setup?
LG 32GQ950 and LG 39GS95QE
What monitor are you using?
LG Ultragear 39GS95QE
Can the power connector/leg be on either side of the table?
No unfortunately not
Is the mouse pad necessary?
Not necessarily just gives a nicer finish
What kind of chair is that in the video?
It's the Vantum gaming chair from Herman Miller

🤔
If only the depth is 80cm. 60cm is too close for people who wants dual / triple monitors set-up
The desk shelf helps to push things further back which is definitely worth getting as you can use it with a monitor arm
