The Reality Of Deception

I heard this story about a fire at a certain apartment complex. It was such a quick burning fire that when the fire department got there access to get in the building was impossible. The people gathered outside confirmed that everyone had evacuated the building except this one young boy that lived on the third floor. The fire department located the boy peering out the apartment window screaming for help. The firefighters got the life net ready and tried to encourage the boy to jump. The boy called down saying: "I'm too afraid! I can't jump!" The firemen, to no avail, continued to try to encourage the boy to jump. It wasn't until the boy heard this voice calling out from the crowd: "Son, this is your Father! You can jump and nothing will happen to you! You'll be safe! You know you can trust Me!" The boy knew that voice! It was a voice he'd trusted before! He knew he could trust that voice today! That boy's life was saved that day! That is the relationship God wants for us! He wants us to know that we can trust His voice! Let's look in to the Word (God's voice) and see that, even though these times might be uncertain, we can always trust our Heavenly Father!
