I love how the Monsters are depicted in these trailers.
The Wraith taking Cabot wasn't random, it saw he was giving the team orders, and took him away to cripple the effectiveness of the Hunters.

I feel like the Wraith is by far the most intelligent monster in Evolve. From the trailer, it shows the creature can asses it's own situation, use scare tactics to disorganize its opponents, and can effectively clone and cloak itself to confuse the Hunters before going in for the kill. Too me, I personally think that in lore context that this creature has at least an inetelligents level of that of a human. Wish there was more though.
If I had to pick the most chill monster tho it would be kraken
It seems that all of them have near human or even human-like intelligence, there's even a chance that the Goliath speaks a few words while he is sneaking

The wraith is actually the only scary one. One second your hunting the monster. Then in the blink of an eye it strikes with a great force.
The gorgon is just fast and annoying.
Best monster ever invented in game. And I do not mean only in this one
I like how the trapper is the only one who follows him, and the others get there super late and are like "woah, what happened here?"

If you want to know, there’s actually a petition to bring evolve back. There is a youtuber called “professional outcast” that is bringing evolve content. if you check the description of his videos, there should be a link that brings you to where you can sign for this petition. I hope this will help
I wanted a monster that could dive underground for short periods of time like a molerat kinda thing or a snake worm thing,
They said that burrowing is still a mechanic in the game and may be used for a future monster.

Elijah Curtis not really. If you are someone who is getting it day 1 anyway, may as well preorder it; you get it for the same price and you get extra content with it! Not to mention that you will be able to make slow payments on it until the game is released by only putting a down payment of 5 dollars at a local gamestop. You gain more by preordering in short.
I think theres TONS of things they could do with monsters.
Maybe one could move underground for short periods?
Maybe one could use venom?
Maybe one could be like a spider. Carrying eggs and when it evolves give birth to weaker mini versions of itself? O.o
Maybe one could be smaller and slimmer, like a lizard. Weaker shields but way higher speeds and climbing?
Maybe one (Like the spider idea) can have a roar or something to attract monsters to its location (Like in Dishonered, the rats. It wont exclusivly attack players so the monster has to retreat or defend itself)? Any one else have ideas? :D
Maybe some kind of hydra wich can eat faster than other monsters or huge rat that leaves one track after him and another one going somewhere else.
Paulina Klaman I like the Hydra idea. I think that would be boss. Maybe unlike the others this one would be like... a giant snake? (Multiple heads? I'unno) o.o
Ice Wolf The creators were going to do a monster that could burrow underground but they didn't have the tech for it look up the velvet worm for evolve.

Wraith was fine till the Noobs got it nerfed to the ground. today I fought a TRUE pro wraith player and he kicked my ass even after wraith's series of nerfs. Props to that guy

Baby Dragon There are still Day 1 Wraith players around, though the skill varies. Flee till 3 Wraith isn't an issue.... An aggressive Wraith...? God save the Queen.
The wraith is still very good doe, she is easily the best monster aside from the Kraken
@@LeftRightBlackNwhite I hide and ambush until they give up I had the whole team walk past me multiple times I was messing around with them and they all died alone. Good times.
And then the hunters ran around the map for 15 minutes.

If this was in a real life scenario, those hunters or pretty much everyone that try to fight without using some sort of vehicle or a mech suit or something along those lines would most likely become human sushi immediately :/ anyways this new monster look bloody BADASS i must say!

The beta was one of the better multiplayer experiences I have had in a long time. Extremely unique. I am excited to see how this game develops on its own. This game also gives me a lot of hope for next gen multiplayer. Because it is so far from the multiplayer experiences we have gotten so used to. Very excited to get this tomorrow. Goliath all the way!!!

@@kurushimu2886 I have to say this with great sadness that the game died. Literally. The servers are down, even the new remake is down. There's no trace of it existing now aside from gameplay footages.
I love the designs of these monsters. I really hope to see a serpent monster that evolves into a gigantic cobra of some sort somewhere down the line. That is just me though.
Pity that this game faded away. So many fun with playing with this monster.
It’s 2018 and I still love this game
This is by far my absolute favorite monster to play as so far.
In fact, I actually hope they nerf it because it's crazy over powered right now and I want to be able to play it without people criticizing my choice of monster for being "easy mode".

Trust me dude, I used clones almost the whole round and they kept activating the dome, so when I won, they said I cheated and I was a noob! :(

The 1st monster was supposed to do a burrowing technique, (not Goliath) then it was changed. Though there is a 5th monster that may have it

Tad Dad maybe a temporary burrowing, like to come up after like 5 to 10 seconds for air, and maybe ts slow when its above ground. that way it does short but controlled bursts of speed through burrowing, like Goliath's leap or something
Coming back to this now made me remember why I'm a wraith main a trickster who uses decoy as first ablity to keep hunters away while I'm on the opposite side of the map eating a buffet of albino monsters

Well you can't hear the Hunters mics as Monster, and I haven't encountered any children on the game yet.
The game has been out for a while, and everything you've said is true, and the Devs are probably nerfing the poor wraith to the GROUND.

i remember when i watched the trailer and was so excited, evolve is the only game ive been so excited for in my entire life, but then it turned into a waste of time and money, now im a jaded gamer that plays games to waste time not have fun
Looks like it "Evolved" from a Xenomorph from Alien/Alien vs Predator.
If u photoshop a wraith's head with the body of a kraken without it's dangly hair limbs, or Tendrils, and color it back, It will look similar to an alien XD

I guessed that a new monster would either be a digger, or some kinda stealth creature, and this is just what i like, I'd prefer stealth to digging, cause digging in games is known to a be a bit revealing(i.e. the ground rising up above the creature)
this is the preview thats on XBONE Home, there are actually 2 videos that ive found where 2 different guys get ti place a substantial amount as the wraith, 1 is like 50 min, the other i like 10 or longer

I know everyone's talked about a burrowing monster, but what about controlling a whole swarm of giant bugs or something rather than one big single monster? Maybe even one that can stun hunters or somehow pull multiple into a group for a big attack? Thoughts?
Bryon Harris Multiple small monsters would be more boring than anything else. Ever heard of Reavers? Elephant Birds? Venom hounds? Having one big one to shoot at is much less annoying then three dozen ankle-biters.
Venom Quill Well they would be in a cluster and relatively easier to kill. Balance it out.
Bryon Harris The thing is... well that's a good idea, in essence. But I'm just taking what I see in the game and what I play because, well, it's a game.
I don't like shooting down at smaller creatures that, even if they cluster, just bounce about and take away health before being blown up. I'm a good shot, but don't push my luck here, buddy! I like shooting at a big monster. That's not just because it's a big target, but because it moves with intelligence. The little monsters would move with AI killing. Monsters, even bots, move with intelligence. You hardly know where they're going and when you do they'll figure out that you know where they're going so they'll go somewhere else... if it's a good monster.
If you're talking about Balance, what about the monster? Sure you'll get some minions, but ones that cluster and are relatively easy to kill? Wouldn't the monster want more powerful minions so that he/she wouldn't have to spam them? Balance isn't just about making it easier for the hunters. It goes both ways.
Venom Quill I understand what you're saying. I was just thinking if they had a cluster of monsters (not too small) that had their power in numbers it would be pretty cool. Also, I forgot about if you were playing against AI, but for the most part, they wouldn't swarm too erratically. Obviously as the swarm evolves, they get more in numbers and more powerful. Conceptually it's cool, but I would leave it to the pros to figure out the rest. I'm just an idea guy haha.
Bryon Harris Oh it's cool; I mean ideas are what make the world spin 'round! I do like your idea, but I would just feel the monster would be at a disadvantage if it's depending on AI ankle-biters to do the damage. Now if the monster did have other damaging abilities- I mean, that could work.
Actually, yeah I could see it. Throwing them over a dead body to keep away Laz or making them distract the medic/support via being eaten is a very cool idea. Swarming wildlife to take down multiple prey items (like fire breath, vortex, warp blast, lava bomb) also seems plausible. In hindsight, I could actually see your idea working.

this monster was the first death i ever had in evolve and my favourite. i got spun around all i saw was this thing coming right at me and i noticed i was still in the air then i was downed then killed

Dumb idea for a monster but...
What about like a Queen Insect type deal? Like a large bug that has it's hive on it's back and it's main thing is using laying eggs in certain areas like mines? Like when the hunters get close, the eggs hatch and now they have to deal with a swarm of insects.

Abe and Parnell are the two beasts in the game.
I like Parnell but i prefer Hyde in assault buuuuuuuuuut i TOTALLY agree Abe been one of the best and nost badass looking hunters

Not really, at the moment all monsters are quite broken, wraith being 2nd least.
i didn't have any problem with any other monsters. I mean yeah sure they are very powerful, but that's how it should be, since they are, you know, monsters. They should intimidate and shit, but wraith is just too much. It's too quick and its impossible to react to his movements if the player is good. I haven't won a single round against a wraith, whilst when I played against other monsters - the forces were pretty much evenly matched.
***** I don't think the monsters are op over anything but armor regen. After getting decimated in a dome fight as monster, you lose maybe a bar of health and get all armor back in a matter of seconds. The wraith is easy to do large amounts of damage with hyde or lennox specifically. Even after the dome drops you can get more damage on them than any other monster.
i totally agree what you said about the armor regen, but do large amounts of damage after the dome drops to a wraith? I understand you can slow him down, but he can still teleport away pretty fast. He moves like the devil.
I think getting armour quickly is a must for any monster.Dome is spammable and hunters spawn.A fully coordinated team will trouble any monster (if they go all out).There is an infamous strategy where 1 hunter will try to hide from the monster when dome is about to go down and then wait out until the hunters respawn.Casting that away monsters needs their strength back after each fight to match up to a "fully coordinated team of pros" if they ever met one.Meanwhile on random matches ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

Gamerado34 there is a 4th dlc monster that had a naming contest and "behemoth" won (i wanted juggernaut though) and its like wraiths opposite it is the biggest one and probobly the slowest also only its sillohoute is revealed
