Definitely going to revisit this video next time I wrench on my B2200, I did my Weber swap this morning and was wondering what to do with all those wires. Great vids as always Mitch 👍🏻...I need that Hat and Hoodie 🔥
Hi im trying to fix up my Dads ol b2200. I just got it to start up but the throttle is stuck and cant give it any throttle, idles for 30 secs and shuts off. I tried to manually turn the throttle by hand but its stuck pretty good and wont budge. What can cause it to get stuck?
Thank you Mitch. On the intake manifold, would one leave the EGR valve on the intake when the new Weber is installed? Is there a manifold available for the Weber conversion. I am thinking about putting insulating tape on my new exhaust header. What do you think about doing that?
I have a Mazda B1600. I suffer from a problem with the third cylinder of the engine not working sometimes but not at other times, thus burning the candle, burning its wire, and causing an increase in the oil level, as well as not accelerating normally on the road, as the car is without torque and speed. What to do?
Not a comment but a question I have a 89 mazda b2200 going through it putting on a wooden bed and doing away with gas tank and going with fuel cell my question is how many ports does it have to have,I know the tank had 3 plus fuel sending unit.thanks for your attention
Weber makes a lot for these trucks and many others. With the kit it boots directly to the intake and it's easier to maintain than the stock carb. With it you can get rid of all of the emissions crap on these trucks. A lot of Jeep guys use these carburetors in a lot of Toyota guys do too.
I think my 92 has a computer under the drivers seat. What does it do? Haven’t looked under the kick panel yet as I just brought it home 1 day ago. Mine has a Weber but still has all the wiring mess just hanging. I’d like to clean it up.
Under the driver's seat is the anti-lock brake system and it's not any good anyways All of us usually get rid of that and get rid of the anti-lock brake system valve at the rear and just run a straight line to the brakes.
@@MazdaMitch I got my truck started the other day it had been partially disassembled by 10 year old so I’ve been hunting bolts and parts but once I got it back together and got fuel to it and put the distributor back in it fired right up and ran pretty good with a little bit of a valve train tick once I seen it was going to run I put the radiator back in and filled it up with coolant and it was not so good after that. It definitely has a blown head gasket or cracked head there’s no water in the oil But it definitely started missing and didn’t want to stay running with coolant in it and it was also blowing it out of the radiator. So today I’m pulling the head and going to take it to Napa one day this week and let them check it out see about getting it redone. Do you recommend replacing the head bolts I normally try to replace them on any other engine I’ve put a head gasket on but I’ve never messed with one of these little Mazdas. If it’s not a big deal I’ll reuse them.
my b2200 has a bad wire problem that keeps the truck from starting once it warms up. next is the back firing that will not go away. can you help with detail info on how to deal with these things. my motor is also running when I turn it off. motor goes out of time when the diesleing occure
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not thee oem i need that because im in california so i needed you to talk about the old carb the last screw too the far right from left to right is ac screw ,then choke screw, then idle screw, then air mix screw then there's the screw in question it is in the front of the car but on the right hand side of the carb and how to adjust and is it for when i put the car in drive and my idle speed drops is that screw the cause help.
I know one of each in Kentucky and Mississippi 2500 for each. Kentucky b2000 runs great but the frame is crusty as hell. The b22 in Missouri has 137k on it but needs a tune up. Runs good actually. No knocks and its bone stock. Could definitely use a weber.

Appreciate it, glad it helped!
The video I was waiting for... Thanks Mitch
HUGE timesaver for me! Thanks so much!
That's funny, that going in the trash when CA guys need to have those. I was like, NOOOO. LOL
I love my state no vehicle inspection.

I had a question in regards to the remaining wires that move to the right. Do you know where they connect to? I just recently acquired a 89 b2200.

No. Header wrap will only make it rust from the inside out fast.
If you need an EGR block off plate they are in the store on my website
Iam outing in a new clutch have never done before but I bought all the tools a manual and a man named Hosee from Mexico
I can’t seem to find that heat plate red wire. I found the male side plug but the female side I can’t find it. Help me out please.

One is a main one is a return and one is vent
So a two port cell will work. Thanks
Thank you brotha, just did the wiring clean up and worked perfect. Thank you
Glad it helped
Good video Mitch!!
I know it musta took some research to go with weber ,but from one shop to another what made you decide on weber?

Awesome info!! Thanks Mitch
Can you still pass emission (smog) by doing carburetor swap?
In my state (and many others) we do not have to pass "smog". That seems to be a west coast thing.
@@MazdaMitch Dam Westcoast laws 😆, thank you
Great video very helpful!

Backfiring could be the timing, like its not advanced enough.
Dieseling, could be high idle or improper set carb.

Any wires in that loom for the 4x4 model ?
the other wires hooked up to the wiper wires, do you just cut them off?
I left the wires going to the wiper motor and cut the rest off.
@@MazdaMitch oh right i see. Ok thanks for your help
Thanks man very helpful
How does it pass smog?
It doesn't.
I have a 87 2200 all original.
Do i need the cómputer...after i set up my weber.
Don't need it
I need to find a snugtop like that
The store is yours??
Where can I get my hand on a Mazda B2000 or B2200

Where did you get the disk breaks with that bolt pattern ?
It's stock???
MazdaMitch I thought all Mazda 1986 to 1990 they were drum breaks not disk brakes ?
Only the rear is drum.
MazdaMitch is there a rear disk break kit for the mazda b2200
My mazda have a smll cómputer by the driver Seat...wath that one do?
Don't need it.
Thank you ...when i was doing my Weber..i was using your video...and now I'm a pro..lol thank you..
I am in California and I am assuming I can't do this to mine
Probably not if you have to pass emissions.
nice

When you gonna stop messing with those crappy carbs and switch to factory fuel injection??
Carbs are better, less parts and headaches to deal with.
