This game is excellent, so many childhood memories attached to this. I love the levels, soundtrack, enemies and animation. The last level "Magician's Hall" is one of my all time favorite level designs, though I am a bit sore about the end boss being so easy.
As a Disneyphile, I have always loved the numerous allusions to Disney movies (the Little Mermaid's shark, Alice in Wonderland, the dwarves' mines). During 28:27 , I reclaimed my child soul.
This game was a long treasured childhood memory for me and especially doing this in dedication to Wayne Allwine makes this a proud tribute to his genius. R.I.P Wayne you will be missed by all who grew up to Disney.
This is the first video game ive ever played and the first time i can remember seeing mickey mouse. good times i just wish i could relive my childhood again
It is interesting to notice how they managed to upgrade the Castle of Illusion title. They created a very Disney World with other characters from Disney. Cause if you get Castle of Illusion and put another character in Mickey's place, you'll see that it won't matter. Those japanese guys...
@wailer27 I also noticed this in some videos recorded with Kega - when a sprite is flashing/flickering (i.e. when it gets hit by an enemy and is invincible for a few moments), in the resulting video it turns invisible for a while. Maybe has to do with the Kega videos being 60 frames and the converted ones 30 Frames, don't know.
Man, my sister would I would play through this game's co-op mode together all the time. Such great memories... I find that the Illusion series is often overlooked these days, overshadowed by the Magical Quest games. It's a shame as this series (World of Illusion in-particular) are fantastic games which are still fun to play. They ought to be re-released as a retro collection or something.
I've talked to management about the request and there will be a revised version of this with both Donald and Co-op play in the future, this one will get replaced by the new version.
I'd say people who want a challenge care about. People who bought the game at full price and then breezed through it in like 2-3 hours would care about (because they would be pissed having spend so much money on a game that was pathetically easy) It's a good game, no doubt and a lot of fun in Multiplayer but the non-existing difficulty is annoying.
I remember this as the first game I ever beat as a kid. So much fun to be had for a disney game of all things >.< But hell I give it a shot and loved it. Might be the first playthroughs I do for my channel. Have to see where my plans are with games I want to do
He just goes way too fast obviously, you could take atleast 20 or 30 min more the first times you attempt to complete this game, which is in the normal rate duration
I remember this game and even as a kid I thought it was incredibly easy. But who is the witch boss supposed to be. At first I thought it was madam mim from sword in the stone.
this is in my top 10 list best games of all time! And I have played a lot. Now I play Skyrim and Mass Effect, wich are the most competent games in deliver atmosphere!
Huh, I remember seeing this in video game books and the like, but never played it. Looks awesome IMO. Also 17:50 - NOW I know where that one song from a Waxinator poop came from!
I was thinking about the 3DS,do you think it's a good idea? also i don't have any idea of my christmas gift,i may think about a PS Vita, but you just gave me an idea,i can play Mario 3D Land and other games
Amazing game, in my opinion it surpasses Capcom's "Magical Quest" series and even the "Mickey Mania" titles. The levels have a lot of variety and none of them feel similar as the other, the animation is just exquisite and the enemies are just hilarious. The bosses are very creative and huge, although they have little HP so they're a bit on the easy side. What are you waiting for?, do yourself a favor and go get your copy right now. :)
...in everything but the Sonic series, the Streets of Rage series, Cool Spot, Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, Lemmings, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, Mickey Mania, Power Drive, Puggsy, Rocket Knight Adventures, Shining in the Darkness, etc. Yeah, horrible sound for programmers who couldn't program a Yamaha sound chip properly. In fact, the SNES was known to be better at recreating "real" orchestral instruments, while the MD was better for electronic/dance sounds.
The jingle that plays after you beat a boss is IMO the most triumphant "you beat the boss" music in any game ever.
God I loved this game :' )
This game deserves special attention.
Music is just magical.
I don't remember being able to beat this in under half an hour, but everything else hits the spot. Thanks for posting this
thank you so much there's so many nostalgias right inside this thing
that game, that rich graphics, that world of fantasy...right into the childhood...
This is a fantastic games. It's really easy, but is a blast to play. I remember as a kid my mind was blown when Micky jumps out of the fish bowl.
This was a fun game. Remember spending a weekend with a friend trying to finish this. Not the hardest of games but still fun as kids.
This game is excellent, so many childhood memories attached to this. I love the levels, soundtrack, enemies and animation. The last level "Magician's Hall" is one of my all time favorite level designs, though I am a bit sore about the end boss being so easy.
One of my favourite childgood games ever :D Good memories.
Omg, flashback! i really loved this game.
Damn!
I only have a slight memory of this game but I still can recall a lot of thins!
Thank you very much!
I remember this game =''( Such Memories, The music, the game... Classic, but mostly... UNFORGETTABLE! ALAKAZAM!!! =)
this was a great early genesis game. I remember ignoring it cuz it was a Mickey Mouse game. but after I played it I was in awe!
I remember this! So much fun.
As a Disneyphile, I have always loved the numerous allusions to Disney movies (the Little Mermaid's shark, Alice in Wonderland, the dwarves' mines). During 28:27 , I reclaimed my child soul.
rented this from my local blockbuster dozens of times . back when even sega games were 40 a pop
I REMEMBER ALL OF THIS
This game was a long treasured childhood memory for me and especially doing this in dedication to Wayne Allwine makes this a proud tribute to his genius.
R.I.P Wayne you will be missed by all who grew up to Disney.
This is the first video game ive ever played and the first time i can remember seeing mickey mouse. good times i just wish i could relive my childhood again
I loved this game when i was alot younger I used to also have quackshot and castle of illusion I used to have a huge genesis library when i was a kid
Coolest game ever. Such attention to details
This would be good to see as a co-op play too since some levels are of different design.
ohgod the childhood. especially with this, sonic 2, castle of illusion and quack shot.
so many memories.
It is interesting to notice how they managed to upgrade the Castle of Illusion title. They created a very Disney World with other characters from Disney. Cause if you get Castle of Illusion and put another character in Mickey's place, you'll see that it won't matter. Those japanese guys...

I always loved that Donald got his ass stuck when trying to crawl through certain tunnels and mickey had to pull him through.
Love the music of this game!
Man, my sister would I would play through this game's co-op mode together all the time. Such great memories...

The Magical Quest and Illusion games are perfect companions to one another.
ah childhood, the music makes me wanna cry.
I've talked to management about the request and there will be a revised version of this with both Donald and Co-op play in the future, this one will get replaced by the new version.
I remember playing this with a good friend. Wow, nice game
The boss clear theme is so nostalgic!
Very good video. Thanks for posting it ^^
Of course it's terrible easy but, who cares about that? Simply wonderful.
I'd say people who want a challenge care about. People who bought the game at full price and then breezed through it in like 2-3 hours would care about (because they would be pissed having spend so much money on a game that was pathetically easy)

RavenTheBloodBat Disney games were very good back then, check Quackshot and Aladdin if you haven't played them yet.
I have played Aladdin but not Quackshot. I shall give it a go one day when I have time to.
Miss this game...
Oh MG Mickey's so cute at any Disney's games *_*
Best Disney game ever
awesome! I played this game when I was 12
and at the end, no one really gave a damn because people were busy PLAYING the games rather than debating over sound chips.
Mickey's "Outch!" is funny :)
I do it sometimes at work and only those who have seen or played this game know what I am doing and they laugh! :D
Yeah but its compressed :-[
Correct me if I'm wrong (it has been over 15 years), but I think you get a few different levels if you play with two players.
Talk about a short game. And people complain that today's games are short.
He just goes way too fast obviously, you could take atleast 20 or 30 min more the first times you attempt to complete this game, which is in the normal rate duration

I wish I could fall 10 stories down the centre of a tree trunk and land without so much as a... scathe. lol. excellent game.
oh it's such a cute game, reminds me a lot of castle of illusion, i loved it!!!! but i've never played it before, so i wish i could get a chance to.
this is in my top 10 list best games of all time! And I have played a lot. Now I play Skyrim and Mass Effect, wich are the most competent games in deliver atmosphere!
This game is so good, why it isn't on the sega's ultimate collection for PS3? they could release this game on the PSN at the least
this is a great game
Nostalgia :')
Huh, I remember seeing this in video game books and the like, but never played it. Looks awesome IMO.
Also 17:50 - NOW I know where that one song from a Waxinator poop came from!
17:50
Great game!
I was thinking the exact same thing...
Have you guys noticed the foot soldiers you fight in the first level look a lot like Quagmire from Family Guy?
Hmm... Reminds me of Earth Worm Jim 2. There's a food level in it too.
One of my favourite games anyway, wonderful and bizzare😊
Such beautiful graphics...I've never even heard of this one...!
I was thinking about the 3DS,do you think it's a good idea? also i don't have any idea of my christmas gift,i may think about a PS Vita, but you just gave me an idea,i can play Mario 3D Land and other games
25:48 There's Pluto, Mimi, Goofy, Donald's nephews, Daisy, Horace and Clara!
Mickey is cuter when he says ALAKAZAM!!
Amazing game, in my opinion it surpasses Capcom's "Magical Quest" series and even the "Mickey Mania" titles.

Sounds like Michael Jackson did the voice of Mickey when he gets hurt. "Ow!"
Sir it's actually "Owuch!" ^o^
19:04 That witch, isn't from the film "The sword in the stone"?
@LetsPlayTarosan Question, who does the voice of Mickey these days?
cork level = most epic level in any game
also LARD!!! STEAK! DONUTS! and... BAABARRR!!!!
How do you turn off 8 bit sounds
such a good game, so sega
Who else tried playing songs on the cloud pianos?
Probablement le plus beau jeu magadrive,et quelle music.
Barely killed that shark.
@Squigglez89 Yea, that's Genesis/Mega Drive for ya. It was definitely known for having horrible sound in everything but Sonic games
Fantasia is older than this one
Anyone knows the name of the song track starting at 22:16?
watch a claaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassic !!
the moving cards remind me of Alice in the Wonderland!!
ALAKAZAM ! x)
Call for a ball on fifa 13 whilst running with a player and you look like mickie mouse running!!
Who else but Quagmire? :D
THE SOUNDS ARE HORRIBLE >.< looks like a good game but the music was driving me up the wall lol!
genesis does what nintendon't
lmfao
They both have their share of great Disney games, so your point is a bit moot.
@@Bloodreign1 Yes but Disney games are definitely better on the Genesis.
I make your words mine!!
@blozier2006 Since 2009 Bret Iwan
