- Come and learn how Visual Studio Code empowers developers to work remotely from anywhere. In this session, we'll demo how to use the VS Code Remote extensions to connect to remote environments and build and deploy applications using the same, familiar Visual Studio Code you already know locally.

4 useful solutions. #3 and #4 have been the dreams of a lot of other IDEs. Once again, VS Code just flatly beats everybody.
Yondu wanted to be here. Sends his love. And told me to tell you, that you got the best eyebrows in the business.
Perfect video to help understand the official documents, I hadn't noticed the "remote connected" for the folder explorer so I thought I was doing something wrong. It was a bit hard to concentrate with the eyebrow business tho haha
the left eyebrow omg hahaha
I prefer local Docker containers for my workspaces, with a local directory for my workspace (set up as a persistent volume within Docker)... and that directory sync'd using something like Resilio to any/all my development systems and NAS storage (for backup).
Amazing video very convincing, i am now switching to VC Remote Dev thanks to you :)
An SSH extension on my local IDE should not require anything more than a SSH Server on the remote host to work. Why do I need my Linux host to have a "VS Code Server" installed? Was SSH insufficient? If it needs more than SSH, it's named incorrectly. If it installs code remotely, it doesn't feel like a local extension.
Having an issue currently with CS50's remote setup. When in VS Code and connected to their workspace, if I do break points in my code and run the debugger, once the debugger is finished it clears the terminal window so you loose the output. Anyway to stop this? As it doesn't do it with my local workspace setup.
My Sweetheart said to thank you. I showed her how you helped me get onto a tool mandated by my project lead. My Sweetheart laughs and goes, "Don't you love it when the 'younguns' show us shit?" And yes, I do. Thank-you!
Excellent presentation
YEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!1!!!!! The days of whole seconds' delay might be over
Can you please share connecting to remote Docker host, attaching to containers and editing files in the containers
How do i run vs code emulator on a virtual machine? Please help!!

The remote development ssh extension on my vscode, keeps disconnecting several times per day for me.
Great! that's what I need!
Блин, ее бровь меня постоянно отвлекала) Ничего не понял из видео ))
WOW, very helpful.
Is it possible to do the compiling on a remote machine? I develop on a laptop but my main PC is way more powerful and faster at compiling. If I could harness that power just for compiling, it would speed things up tons.
Did you find any solution?
@@mamrezo722 I haven't looked in to it much since. Would be great if it's possible
you just need to open the terminal and run the compiling
How about ssh with GUI ?
Great video
Briquettes left eyebrow wiggling is weird.
Very bad micro with all those "ssss" and "tsss" sounds
Can you smell what the rock is cooking?

Too much sibilance for easy listening, video abandoned
i think Brigit Murtaugh is the only person doing anything useful and that can be liked by the dev community.Apart from vscode and these remote dev, ithink i still hate everything else from microsoft
you're voice is like a broken glass
