I've listened to a lot of Spotify's alt/nu metal playlists, and many feature modern rap artists. If they are something to take note of how rapping is today, they do be lacking flow to a degree, timing their rhymes in a way that's just off. Not like "prog metal" off timing, but just rushing their words or something somewhat sloppily.
