The girl selling drugs who talked with Obi-Wan about daughters, was in fact Ewan McGregor's daughter: Esther Rose McGregor. He said: "I'm looking for my daughter. She was taken and she's on this planet." She said: "I was someone's daughter once, too." Perfect dialogue for real father and daughter.
A lot of people are not understanding the very good strategy they are playing in this series. The idea they are developing is that 10 years without practicing and really trying to suppress Jedi techniques, Obi-Wan is really losing his abilities. He's turning into old Ben Kenobi. It's a great idea to develop continuity because it explains how the Jedi in the prequels and in the animations they seem a lot more powerful than in the original trilogy. If Obi-Wan started jumping off buildings and moving walls with one finger, it wouldn't look like he was holding back and stopped training. Inquisitors, on the other hand, train and practice all the time. Combat will not be so easy without hidden training.
I like it because it gives connective tissue. A lot of EU/Legends comics and looks had characacters (Luke, Anakin Ahsoka...) training and training. The prequels showed you younglings trained since they were little. Lots of the criticism of Rey was that she was too powerful with no training. Well, here we go. Obi wan with no use of the Force for 10 years? Weak AF. And in 9 years, he'll have an underwhelming fight with Vader (I still love it tho! We know why it wasn't as spectacular as others) because he has been a hermit for nearly a decade.
And also the dark side is much more powerful now as they broke the balance by killing most of the Jedi and forcing the rest to go into hiding and stop using the force, in Clone Wars season finale Darth Maul became powerful at the time of the order 66, he even mentioned that it's because the dark side got stronger, so all the users too.
The part with Liea running away did feel a little bit like a plot contrivance, but everything else here was golden, imo. I love the back and forth between her and Obi-wan. The little girl playing her is doing a brilliant job.
I think Reva might know Anakin is Darth Vader because she was in the temple during Order 66... as I'm 99% sure she was that little Youngling that yelled "RUN!" She might have seen him cutting down jedi and heard Palpatine calling him Lord Vader.
Furthermore, I think Reva may be Vader / Anakin's apprentice. During Order 66, she may have seen Obi-Wan arrive at the Temple, see all the dead Jedi, grab stuff and leave. She probably thinks he and the Jedi abandoned them when they needed them most. That's why on Tatooine she said "The Jedi are cowards. They will abandon you." So, maybe Vader found her, saw how strong the Force was with her, and took her under his wing, instead of killing her. Then, later she may have discovered what happened to him and how Obi-Wan left him to die on Mustafar. So she helped Palpatine and began caring for and studying under Anakin. She is his apprentice. The way Ventress in The Clone Wars was Dooku's apprentice. In Ventress' backstory she started out as a Padawan studying under a Jedi, and then when he died, she was found as a kid by Dooku, and switched to the dark side.
It’s terrible theres no way he wouldn’t sense that she knows and kills her immediately like anyone and everyone who has even a idea that it’s him that’s my one gripe with the show but it makes me hopeful that hopefully we see her get killed in a bad ass Vader scene😈
Loved you guys reaction . 1) Young Leia is just so humorous and quick witted . 2) Btw There's a Reva origin and motives conspiracy going on ...so really isn't clear why she did "kill" the grand inquisitor 3) The girl who said" I was once someone's daughter " was actually real life Ewan's daughter cameo . 4) That anakin death stare is sick ......
I need to know how Reva knows that Vader is Anakin, because it was established that only the Emperor knew. It's true that Obi Wan knew in a New Hope, but to learn from an Inquisitor? I look forward to the puzzle pieces falling together! Also, Reva's willingness to defy the Grand Inquisitor is very interesting. It really has me looking forward to the next episodes to see what happens.
The way the show starts, I'm on the train of people who believe she was one of the younglings at the temple during order 66. They went from a girl saying let's go, to the next shot being the inquisitors arriving on tattooine and the camera hovers at Reva when she gets off the ship
I think it was like how Vader knew of Leia. He didn’t exactly know, but by weakening the opponent’s mind, he was able to read his thoughts. Just like obi wan, who immediately snapped when he heard the name: lord Vader. Like Vader said: your thoughts betray you. So reva was able to see in obi wan’s mind that Vader was Anakin Skywalker.
I don't know why you were getting so mad. You have audience perspective and know Obi's on the up and up. Leia saw his picture on a wanted poster/hologram (usually reserved for criminals), and only his word to go on otherwise. So even though it wasn't the right thing, her running away and not blindly trusting him was the smart thing as opposed to the stupid thing. She doesn't owe him trust just because he says he's a friend of her dad's. Yes, it's true, but she had no way of knowing that. It's simply why her being wise beyond her years and not being naïve is in some ways a curse as well as a virtue. I'd argue that Bail would actually be proud of her for having good instincts in a situation with a complete stranger...if it even got brought up at all for being such a brief moment. If she actually knew him before from her dad's accounts of past days (which she clearly doesn't), it'd be a different story, of course.
And she was actually right when revealing too little is exactly what brings him into trouble. That shit draws attention. He should've just been honest with Leia. Not her fault.
The clothes that Jedi normally wear is a common style of clothing that people wear across the entire galaxy, especially if you're poor and some kind of farmer. It's part of their humility and practicality. Literally almost everyone on Tatooine, including Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, wear very similar attire.
Obi-Wan gotta prepare cause this show takes place only 10 years after Episode 3. His basically gonna head up against a prime Darth Vader and god knows what's that like. And I can't wait!
@MAC React, 14:14 That's right Madison. That's how he's stayed off the radar for so long. Using the Force is like a beacon any Force sensitive person can sense. This series is showing us how easy it is for a great Jedi, a master Jedi, can get stuck dwelling on one's failure. Obi-Wan is going through what we saw Luke go through in episode 8. Many fans online hated it, and said it was out of character. I think it's working better here, since we know Obi-Wan's story. We didn't get to see Luke failure--episode 6 ended on a high note, so we all expected to see Luke doing great things, but Rian Johnson had other plans=/ In any case, this story is showing us that Obi-Wan is working his way through his grief and failure just as Luke had to in episodes 8 and 9. 17:40 Obi-Wan knows who Lord Vader is, he just refused to call him by that name: ruclips.net/video/-S0CE9yAjWs/видео.html 18:25 he's looking pretty dead, isn't he? Grand Inquisitor isn't a name, but a title. The media talking about the Inquisitors in this series might have misquoted their source...or he isn't dead. Either way, I don't care--this Grand Inquisitor being dead and not the one we saw in Rebels. I know some reactors online are calling this a plot hole, and finding it hard to believe that the same species can hold the same title throughout Star Wars, while forget about Yoda, Yaddle and now Grogu. They were all Jedi! We've only ever seen Yoda's species as Jedi, powerful ones at that! The Grand Inquisitor being a Pau'an all being portrayed the same way isn't more strange than Yoda and his brethren, so I don't understand the bickering some are having. What's weird is we got a trailer for the sequel to Fallen Oder and a Pau'an looks to be a Dark Side user in that, lol. Here's that trailer, for the Fallen Order sequel if you haven't already seen it: ruclips.net/video/4HLDaBGdnLc/видео.html 18:35 I disagree. Vader is the head of the Inquisitors, they serve him and there is no one he wants more than Obi-Wan, and while the others gave up on him, Reva never did. And she found him! She only lost him because the Grand Inquisitor got in her way. Reva and Vader's anger towards Obi-Wan fuels them, gives them power. They both want revenge. Reva's very likely the youngling we saw in the first episode with braids. She and her fellow younglings ran, hid and waited for help to come, but it never came. While they waited out the massacre, their fear and thoughts took over, corrupting them their minds, breaking them down. It didn't help that temple surveillance would later confirm what they thought, that they were abandoned. Reva had access to videos that would show that Obi-Wan and Master Yoda made it deep into the temple, and rather than looking for survivors, they recorded a message for Jedi off world, gathered supplies and then fled themselves. Reva's rant on Tatooine, about the Jedi lying to people, abandoning them, not coming to save them is her story. Though she threated Owen and his family, she admired the fact that he was willing to die for them, she complemented him for protecting his family...her family didn't protect her. It doesn't matter if Reva knows why Obi-Wan did what he did, back then. He left her. And now her life is a living nightmare. Delivering Obi-Wan to Vader will end her nightmare. What a finale, huh? Can't wait until Friday, lol.
She's just a girl... what did you expect, it's normal for her to distrust someone she just met, she still has to develop as a character to be the Leia we all know from the movies
To me Leia genuinely not believing Obi wan was very real. You could say "she's being a lil shit" but how would she know who's real? She just found out this random guy has his face all over the planet. Parents always tell their children "don't trust a man who tells you I sent him to pick you up". Leia has no clue who he is??? Lol
About Obi-Wan's reaction to Anakin be alive. Think that he, until that moment, believed that he had left his best friend to die after ripping off his legs and setting him on fire. Until that moment, he was in depression feeling guilty about this death. Despite all that lies ahead, he is still relieved.
I think the reason why she didn't know who Obi-wan was when she sent the message in A New Hope, was he introduced himself as Ben to her here. And when she fist sees him in A New Hope, she calls him Ben, not Obi-Wan. So she probably didn't know that Obi-Wan and Ben were the same person.
Obi-Wan knew Anakin was Vader, him and Yoda found out when they watched the security Holograms in episode 3, when she said you didn't know she meant you didn't know he was alive but he knew who Vader was
That cut at the end made me jump, the music too....I was afraid you guys were gonna talk through it and miss the impact of the quick cut scene! This whole time since Revenge of the Sith....it had never occurred to me that Obi-wan didn't know Anakin actually survived their fight and was alive and now ruling as Darth Vader. I honestly just thought this whole time he knew that. The fact that he was just now discovering that he didn't kill his "brother" is such a heart dropping gut-punch moment for Obi-wan cause of all the guilt he carried as a burden for 10 years thinking that he failed him and that he did kill him, now to find out that he just left him for dead, but didn't die adds another depth of guilt! When Bail told Obi-wan "You couldn't save Anakin" we all thought that implied saving him from turning to the dark side, but to Obi-wan it was that he was convinced that that meant he couldn't save Anakin from dying. I mean granted he witnessed him being burnt alive, he probably just assumed he burnt..to death. And now after all these years Obi-wan thought he couldn't force link with Anakin because he just assumed he wasn't alive anymore, but at the end now he thought to call out to him...and Darth Vader now sensed that force link, exposing that Obi-wan is indeed alive, (to quote A New Hope), "sensing something, a presence he has not felt since"..... Such a great episode!

FYI, NO ONE is supposed to know that Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker! You know that power ranger bike gang, from Boba Fett show, would have been more at home here then Tatooine.
No he was referring to Padme. She says "...sorry" And he says "...me too.." Like sorry your mom died... not sorry my ex girlfriend died.. that makes zero sense.
@@Persephone_Personified I don't agree. It makes perfect sense. Leia said "sorry" to Obi-Wan's expression of loss. Saying "me too" is something that would be common to say, if it was a loss still felt deeply. I would be interested in hearing from the writers who he was speaking of, specifically, although I could understand why they would want it to be kept vague.

I love you 😘💕❤️
FYI, NO ONE is supposed to know that Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker! You know that power ranger bike gang, from Boba Fett show, would have been more at home here then Tatooine.
I think Obi-Wan was telling Leia about Satine, when he spoke of the "leader" who died a long time ago.
No he was referring to Padme.
She says "...sorry"
And he says "...me too.."
Like sorry your mom died... not sorry my ex girlfriend died.. that makes zero sense.
@@Persephone_Personified i mean he could be, cus we not 100% sure he was talking bout padme, and obi did also feel guilty bout satine's death
@@NotARealFrenchGirl91 to be fair Obi feels guilty about a lot of deaths he could’ve prevented.. guilt is kind of his default emotion at this point.
@@Persephone_Personified true that
@@Persephone_Personified I don't agree.
