Your IMS bearing not being an issue isn't surprising as the earlier Boxsters used the dual row versions which are far less likely to fail as the early 2000's ones. I'm still going to change it just to say it's been done and for peace of mind. May as well if doing the clutch and rear main seal.
Honestly I wasn't expecting there to be a problem with the IMS - but the car has been sitting and if I want to sell the car, it needs to be done to get top dollar. And as you say, it gives peace of mind. Really it is so straightforward to do it should be done each time the clutch is changed, which is what LN recommends. Having the right tools to remove and install the bearing is key.
Just curious if you have ever driven a Fiat 124 spider? 2017 - 2020? They are the predecessor to the 1966 through 1985 original Fiat 124. Most people don't even know they exist.
