Hey, I just got a job as pressman's helper on a very similar Mitsubishi. I was wondering if I could get some tips on adjustments on the paper feeding head. Particularly blower and vacuum adjustments, but any tips would be great.
Air n vac are crucial to continuous operation. Not enough air, depending on sheet thickness, the sheets won't float, to much and u loose control causing sheets to cock going onto the feed board tripping off press at headstops. Finger tension just as important can cause same issues as air. Vacuum, less for thin, more for thick paper. Always change ur suckers too. Change fingers too stiffer for thick, flexible for thin. Check filters if not getting right amount of suction or blowing from vacuum or air pump. Always double check 2 sheeter detector and periodically during long runs, check register aka bounce too.
I'm 33 just started running one I'm excited for a career in printing
