Sang Tae may not be like everybody else, given his condition, he may have his own issues, insecurities and fears, but he was the most courageous among them three. He not only helped himself but also healed Mun Yeong and Gang Tae. To me, Sang Tae was really the MVP in this drama. His innocence and purity just makes you realize that people make things complicated when they shouldn't be.

I agree, the film wouldn't be this masterpiece without Sang Tae. But, ironically, even though autistic persons are set in their routine, it was actually his honesty that helped him grow faster. Gang Tae helped him by telling (actually yelling) him to act like a big brother and those comparisons with the cartoons of how a family is more than sharing the same surname, etc. Mun Yeong helped by not treating him differenly, fighting with him like siblings, gave him a job but didnt hesitate to say if the drawings were bad 😄 HOWEVER, after I watched the film 2 times in a row, I looked for bts with Sang Tae specifically and there aren't many, I wish I knew more of his portrayal of this character. He is absolutely fabulous.

oh jung se deserves a whole bunch of awards and more. this man did an absolute phenomenal job. the fact that the audience felt all these emotions through his character is enough to prove my point. he really worked super hard to bring sangtae’s character to life and he did it perfectly. thanks to him and both soo hyun and yeji, and ofc the rest of the iotnbo team, this drama is a masterpiece. I’m still missing it :((

He deserves every award an actor could get. Every detail is just so well done, researched and studied. There was not a moment where he, rather his body and mannerisms, forgot his character. The way he cried by their Mom's tree was just astounding and so KSH followed it with a very natural sob. That scene was impeccable.
I agree with everything you said. I am a huge fan of his. If you haven't watched 'When the Camelia blooms', check it out. He won an award for that this year. Although IMO he was even more amazing in 'Hot Stove League'. Wish they'd give out double awards 😂

this was the best drama i have ever watched. now, that's just personal opinion - but i have never been touched more than i have by any characters before. as the characters healed, as did i. i laughed with them, i cried with them, and i learned with them. i rooted for them every step of the way, so this happy ending was perfect. hats off to Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, and Oh Jung Se. this was some of the most marvelous acting i have ever seen in my life. they NEED to win daesangs for their performances. it's hard to move on from this drama, but the lessons i learned will stay with me for a long time. farewell IOTNBO...may your fairytale live on forever!

This is such a beautiful plot twist wherein the writer gives us a glimpse that MGT can also be free from his responsibility to his brother and that MST can live a normal life independently and have his own real job too..
Of course there's a thought that they will be reunited after the trip but the fact that MGT can now enjoy the things he never did before because of solely taking of his brother was such a heartwarming and satisfying feel for the viewers. Moong Gang Tae indeed belongs to Moon Gang Tae.

Kim Soo Hyun took the most ordinary role out of all the three - the non-flashy character and made it so complex. I could relate with Kang Tae and I was happy with his journey the most! The other two characters were written to be standout.

rrb agree, I think GT is the most ordinary among the 3 main actors. GT is not strong and unique. If it is not for KSH to play the role of GT, I believe this role will be covered by ST and MY. KSH can strike a balance between them and can highlight GT, he did a great job!
Yes, Kim Soo Hyun character was the mildest and least memorable type. Like the backdrop of the screen whenever the other two appears. That is the scriptwriter job to place this character as the mediator between the other two characters. When I heard that Kim Soo Hyun acting pale in comparison to his other co-stars, I beg to differ because Kim Soo Hyun delivers a performance that is just right. He is there to balance the whole drama and keep everything under control with his every expression. These three are just brilliant actors. ❤

He was responsible of taking care of his older brother, yet they never really had a brother relationship. Gang-Tae was really his care giver. This drama allowed their relationship as brothers to really grow into an actual sibling relationship.
When they were arguing and Sang-Tae said he was the older brother, Gang -Tae told him “then act like one.” That was just one of many powerful scenes between the brothers.

This drama has one of the best ending. This drama taught us that everyone has flaws and fears and that only our own self who can free from it. But in the end it's okay not to be okay♡
This was one of the most tear jerking scene. I've tried not to but gosh it just made me cry more. Their bond, their love, it is special. Even though life was so hard on them they were able to conquer it together. They strived and were able to get over the past. Even a special person like sang tae was able to understand that they have different paths to walk through because they have different goals now. That they belong to themselves so they should be free to do the things they love to do. That exchange of thank you and that tight hug is 😭😭😭. .... in real life it is a typical family and friends thing. Because even if we love our family member or friend or anyone special and really want to keep each other near and we always worry how will each other be without us beside them but we need to let each other spread our wings and soar the skies because we love each other and wants to grow the best that we can be. At the end of the day, we will always go back anyway. Even if we fail or succeed we know we will always be there for each other. We may part for a while but will always reunite.

I cried so hard, this show is so powerful and emotional. I was so blown away by the wonderful acting and the amazing storyline. Easily this is one of my top favorite Dramas and I have been recommending it to everyone (whether they like K-drama's or have never seen them before).
Amazing drama, so much precision on details, great actors and actresses. Overall a masterpiece. I don't know how can I move on to this drama that gave me warmth every weekends.
We are so used to seeing kdrama characters saying " you belong to me " ,you are mine " possessive quotes. But it's okay showed us whom do we actually belong to. If we can't appreciate and love ourselves the most how can we love others ?
Even though sang tae and moon young were the characters who stand out the most in the drama Gang tae character was the one I could relate to the most. He was just normal. But he was in pain and was suffering for a long time. He wanted to die. He thought he didn't deserve love, he ran away from people and places . He hated himself. But at the end he found himself. He threw his mask away. He realized he belong to himself the most. What a beautiful drama! KSH will never know how much I love his acting . I have never loved a drama and actors like it's okays .

For me these three characters are the most unforgettable in kdrama ever! box man, mask boy and tin can girl. The way their character develop was amazing and right at the pace until the drama ends! Oppa Oh Jung-Seo is one of the best actor there! He is so underrated! He deserves to win an award I tell you! Plus his chemistry with KSH and SYJ is the best! They all deserve to be acknowledged👏👏👏👏👏
Everything here looked so natural. Plus the scene in the tree of their mother. At 0:36 when he held her hand, or when he pulls her closer. This is the best closure they could ever give.
I just got done watching this drama. My older sister is a non verbal autistic woman. She's 29. And all my life I've felt like I had to be somebody to take care of her when I get older because she didn't ask to be the way she is in this unsympathetic world. At the same time. I've felt that I had to give up having a family and doing things I wanted to because I needed to be there for my sister. And this drama from Korea, had this black girl from Detroit, Michigan crying like a baby over the dynamic between the brothers because it reminded me of my sister and I so much. Over the years I've realized that I could live my life and take care of my big baby sister.
This drama was very mysterious, funny and sad. I loved the psychological aspect of it and the twist (though I figured out that Nurse was her Mama pretty early.) This truly was a great watch. I'm late to it but everyone was so right about it being so good.

This was a beautifully written story. And the main three actors were just perfect and brilliant! They all deserve awards, but so do the writers. The ending was just right!

That was genuinely the best, happiest, most satisfying and realistic ending ever. The fact that Sang Tae chose a different road because he is not Gang Tae or Moon Young or anyone else, he's Sang Tae and he belongs to himself and for the first time he feels needed as an individual, boosted this dream even more as a healing one. Gang Tae was crying happy tears because he was proud that his older brother doesn't need him anymore and he feels needed as a person. For the first time they have the right to choose what they wanna be and what they wanna do, their lives isn't decided by their parents, past and trauma, their actions is decided by only them.
It was really genius from the director to show the audience what really happened after their talk, which is them drinking coffee after, not what we thought we saw which is them parting ways. Because as outsiders what we see isn't always the real truth, what we saw is them going different paths, but in reality what really happened is them spending more time together and drinking coffee before going. That changes the whole meaning of the ending, because it means they're not parting ways, they're just taking different roads as individuals while being with each other as a family. In other words, just because we take different roads, see things differently and like ourselves more (just like when Moon Young asked Gang Tae who does he likes more and he said "I like myself), doesn't mean we should stop being around each other. The moral story is, you can't socialize and be part of a family, if you can't even love and appreciate yourself first

this scene really touched my heart. sadness, warmth, healing, this is sooo powerful! i cry over and over again despite watching this many times. this drama must be rewatched. why are there no special episodes? or a long epilogue? and also how many times have i asked couch talk and compliment each other for them, the swoon? 😭😭😭
When most people are in difficulties and injuries, people really need this healing and interesting drama to warm their hearts.
Therefore, when everyone praises SYJ and OJS, I will praise KSH even more. To be honest, if it wasn’t for KSH’s after military service and waiting for his 5 years of drama, I would not pay attention to and watch this drama. I don’t know how much script he got before IOTNBO. The script, but instead of playing a cool and attractive character, you chose an in-depth character like Moon Kang Tae, for which I am grateful. Therefore, I know the beautiful SYJ and the good acting OJS, and have received such a wonderful and unforgettable drama. I think a successful actor will make the audience suspect that the male and female protagonists are really dating. It seems that HyunJi is really successful. Thank you very much! Now, after completing his military service KSH's charm is even stronger. Thank you for the best human Healing drama ever. Thank you all. Looking forward to his next project.
Damn only a stone wouldn't be emotional in the whole finale episode the mom tree scene included. Oh Jungse conveyed the feeling of comfort just right, Kim Soohyun pours out the emotion. He even cried with the younger actor while you can feel Seo Yeji's voice breaking a little. These three really did a great job, I still cry in their scenes no matter how many times I've watched it. This whole drama is a total emotional roller coaster that gets you hooked i can't get enough of it.
It should get all the existing stars and moon and sun existing in the universe..
What to say about this! Just absolutely spectacular. Even a million words would be unable to describe how good this drama was.. I just cried my heart out in the end with scene and also knowing that only a few minutes are left until it ends. It was a Rollercoaster of emotions From the 1st ep to the last minute. I just gave it a try for Kim soo Hyun but ended up becoming a fan of seo ye ji and oh jung se.. And now this drama had taken a place in my heart which is no other drama have.. ❤ Mesmerizing acting from. The main to the cameos.. Ost's are the definition of perfect music.. I couldn't be more satisfied with this ending.. I just couldn't. This drama was a whole package.. Lastly I would say that this drama should get all the awards existing in seoul awards. It deserves that.. I really wish that in their country too it gets all the recognition it deserves. Outstanding work of the crew for making such a masterpiece. It only comes in a while. Gosh.. The relationship and character developments of brothers, ST and GT was so beautifully explored in this drama. IMO, their complex relationship was one of the most well portrayed.
I'd watched this drama while it was on air and fell in love with every moment of it. Today, I watched this touching scene on Swoon's insta page and it brought me here to watch the entire scene all over again. I think I'll binge watch it again as it made me extremely nostalgic.

Ahhhh every time I watch this scene my heart aches and cries a river of tears 🤧😭😭. MST finally learns to let go of MGT. Their character development is incredible. I also love how MGT holds Moonyoung's hand. Such a powerful scene.
Such a great great drama and such a perfect ending. I mean i have never been so satisfied with a drama’s ending before. Sang tae’s character development and growth made me cry, i m so proud of him. When he accepted moon young as a sibling and gave her allowance, when he guided her how to pick quail eggs properly, to not get agitated and try other methods, how he gave them space and alone time so they can patch things up, how he went and made KMY eat food when she was devastated , how he protected them both eventually from her mother and then in the end, this scene .. to show us that gang tae can finally be free and that it doesnt mean the three of them have to be together all the time for KMY and Gangtae relationship to work. Loved it so much!! I really cant get over this drama guys.

This scene was amazing. I loved, loved their brother relationship. I loved it as much as the main love story, we saw both Sangtae and Kangtae go thru so much and thru it all their love never faltered. They had their fights, and there was even hatred but thru it all these two loved eachother more than anything. I praise Sangtae for his growth and the strength of letting his little brother go out of love and for his kids brother’s happiness but I can’t ignore Kangtae’s when it comes to his brother either. KT always saw his brother as a child someone who needed to be protected and looked after all the time. He didn’t do it out of malice but out of love and yes even feelings of obligation, because ST was autistic. But when Munyeong came into their lives he starts seeing his big brother as he is, an adult. He respects him as such and that’s why KT also lets his brother go in this moment. He knows he’s gonna be Okay and that he also needs to live his life without Kangtae. The growth these two went thru in the light of the Drama was astounding. I loved watching this story so much and I’ll rewatch many times more.

In my opinion, this drama was complete and gorgeous. Who really is normal? It's impossible not to identify yourself at some point. Everyone needs or will need healing someday. The real life is like that !!💛✌😊. I will miss them!😢
