You guys are funy. Grat video. Hellow from Guatemala..
I have never worn any that didn't leak and you were a good sport about it . A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do .
Ingenious, simple, cheap and it really works.
That was great! Driving a post in a pond is definitely going on my list of things to avoid!
bhahhaha.....yep...it was pretty funny. Shoot me an email buddy...let me know when you guys are thinking bout processing a hog or 2. Me and Dad would love to come up and pitch in....plus learn about how ya'll do it. Share some tips
Great that you two guys, found together.
Awesome gravity system using rampump👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That’s fascinating simple technology.
Hi.... Thank you 🎥👍👍👍
I about fell in the floor when u choked up a bit on that water siphon.
Cool system..Show it again someday in full operation.Interesting way to move water
As long as the water is flowing and dropping it will continue to lift without any power or fuel.
@@LandtoHouse Now I wish my property had water running downhill..
Thanks, more power to you!
dude, mountain bike trails on the farm! you’ll never miss a workout!
That is a cool water system. 👍👍👍❤️
Truly enjoy watching your videos!!
Fill all your pipe with water before hooking everything up, this will keep you from having to pull a siphon and having to babysit the pump to build head so it wil run
I really loves these cows...
Thinks josh needs a nap after this😆
Have a good day 🍁🍁🍁
To have the pond clean just try a solar fountain so u rotation in pond. Rotated water keep pond cleaner
Ram pump, baby
I subscribed to both your channel and Seth's didn't know about Seth's channel land to house without your video so great job guys
Great video stoneyman you got it going your way buddy
Thank you for Great video
The bloopers...lol. Lots of good info in an entertaining video!
I laughed with all the pond action. I love both channels.
"I'll tell you about the pneumonia tomorrow" haha too funny.
Great vid bud very informative and the ending bloopers I think with ya in the water .ya funney stuff lol ..be safe bud and godbless
Looks like a good system!
Hey Josh! This is Scott P. from the Harvest Gala. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your next project!
nice system! thanks for info
Reminds me of the ice rescue we trained for at our fire department. One of the survival suits had a leak in the crotch area. Guess which one I got.
Ram ,,, pump are olso very good
You are not out of shape. Always remember round is a shape too. 😍
bhahhahha
Hey, pear is a shape! Great video! Thanks for sharing! And getting a siphon going.😬. Tasty local ground water!
This is not a siphon it's a pump the volume of water going into the system forces the water to higher area Google the zm bombas it's also a hydraulic pump ancient technology with a modern twist 🤗
when i was very young i remember going to the pump w dad to check the inlet screen and hearing the pump clicking the pump supplied the farm
Thanks for sharing
Chest deep in ice cold water - that's dedication.
'Really love these cows dude' Made me laugh!
Thanks for the good laugh for the day nice video. You're doing great job who said u can't make water run uphill.
Drill holes in your filter pipe BEFORE gluing the plug end on. That way you can clean out all the drill bit debris that ends up inside the filter pipe.
Great goal 👏
Trying not to laugh out loud up in here. That whole pond scene. 😂
I hope this one works better than the last one...
CHEERS!
fountains in the town where i live still use victorian ram pumps
You're doing great!! Keep up the great work. I've been binge watching. LOL
Lmao just watching you in the pond with the commentary I was crying laughing 😂
Enjoyed the video
Love the end 👍🙌🇺🇲
Real dudes doing what real dudes do. Dudettes can do too.
Great video Josh! Thanks and keep them coming!
You can use a hacksaw to cut slots in the screening pipe. Or, buy a 2' piece of slotted pvc well screen.
Great video
Thanks!
Suction pipe to keep off of the bottom of pond? We do that prospecting, run the pipe down hill to the work site with lots of pressure!
You can increase the pressure with a larger intake and get more lift
Hey Josh thank you for the video I enjoyed it and I think that you did a good job but I think somebody got wet now I know it wasn't me hahaha hehehe
Lol @ you in the water 😉😂⭐️🤣😝
That was even funnier in person!
@@LandtoHouse oh I’m sure!!!🤣I subbed your channel and am watching the pool noodle video.
Seen two things that I may do;
Add a snifter, (grease fitting with the spring removed and a screw to hold the bearing in place) and a pressure guage with a shut off valve between the system so that it doesn't continually take the (ram) hit.
I need to do a pump for my ranch
check your pond there is joshquatch in the water....lol
bhahahha
They gather around the water trough because "water is life" at least that is what a bunch of yard signs I see tell me. :P
Great video, great commentary. “This is not happening...”. Too funny. Hey, where’s the links?
Started laughing about the water in the crotch bit, money shot...boy o boy, hand you the pipe! 21 mins in.... man you are awesome!
Awesome video. So much great info. Thanks
Need to try to use your ram pump to make a sprinkler for the middle of the pond
Bro, you are not out of shape, round is a shape 😂
Have you tried hooking up one of those drill powered transfer pumps to get the water up instead of sucking?
I know you served in the AF ...but you looked like a Navy frogman in that pond...if you had your AR maybe a SEAL (liked learning with you Josh on this vid and when the cows quench their thirst..hope they appreciate the SETH system and you avoided hypothermia )
Looks really cool! What happens in winter?
Edit: Got my answer!
Is it possible to run multiple ram pumps in series? So that one feeds the next?
At least you knew it was a leak right away. Last time it happened to me, I thought it was either a leak or maybe I really had to go. Don't worry, it was a leak :)
hmmm...wonder why this comment is showing up on the Ram Pump video lol
Should you leave enough post height above the water level to allow for rise of the pond in case of flooding rain? which might be more than 1 foot?
At 20 minutes in he specifically states that the flood water will not go higher than the pipe.
cows gossiping around the water tank.
If the back pressure is greater then the pressure going into the pump it won't work you can increase the pressure with a larger intake and increasing the level of the pound
You need to do a video on how to repair leaky waders.
From what I understand is that in the wild there natural instance is to stay close to water naturally and they know they will allways have water in that area ..that's the only thing that I know about the wild animal side of them
I dont get it! You got the water source from the pond, how does push the water up? Does it mean a ram pump would work in the valley as well?
Thanks Sir for the scientific information. Lord Jesus bless you richly!
I have a well that's about 7 feet deep, will the ram pump be able to pump water from it and deliver the water about about 30 feet ?
Tiny leak in the crotch area 🤣 too funny 👍👏 hard worker 😂❣️
Can't find the valve with the long shaft you used for $50. Great video!
Estaremos usando este sistemas en Luperon puerto plata.
Hey Josh is there any way to see if you know or Seth can give an estimate price on the parts? I heard yall mention that it was 75 on his site so I'm figuring probably 45 to 50 bucks?? thanks always learning when I click on Stoney Ridge....Woooooo!!!!!!!
The pressure tank its actually the shock absorber.
I’m assuming the water intake to the pond is greater than the waste valve discharge is?
This would be awesome to use at my farm but I’m afraid my pond water volume is too small and I would drain my pond. The water only goes over the spillway /overflow maybe 3-4 times a year. The county diverted the ditches where I don’t get the water run off anymore. I’m tempted to dig a new ditch to take the water.
that would be correct - you notice in his video his pond always has some overflow - if you do not have any water coming in to your pond you will eventualy have no water in your pond -
apparently the ratio is about 5L (1 gallon ish) up hill to 20L (4 gallons) waste water
and you can work out how much water it pumps per day (say 1000L) will have (4000L) waste so you need 5000L per day water coming into the dam for it to stay at the same level if incoming water is insufficient then your dam/pond will empty.
Do you have to ise this valve in a pond or can you use it with a well
If you turn the delivery valve off and fill the pipe from the top it would save a lot of time and energy and be air bubble free
cool
like your vidio
The upper one , the white color on standing how to install that ...pls. Help me to install that..you guy’s very good job ...God bless...
Teknologi luar biasa
Will this work if your running from a creek to a irrigation pond at the same level, no drop.?
I see you have a float valve to shut off the water to the tank. What does that do to the ram pump? Do you have to have an open end pipe, or can it be closed?
It stops the pump from pumping as the incoming water powers it.
Does that float valve allow the pump to stop and restart without complications?
New subscriber. Love the content! Just beginning to browse your library. Can I request you do something on how to not just survive but thrive. I saw you have cleared some timber. Any other suggestions for beginners with a good R.O.I.?
Well....keep on watching as we build the farm....it's not about survival...it's about building a farm and earning a living off the land.....check out WT Farm Girl...tell her I sent ya...she just did a great video on first generation farms!
Without the farm no one can survive or thrive 😂😂🤔😳
They use something like that on a moonshiners episode 😀
Hose barb fittings
You said the gentleman sells those online ? I want one for my small pasture…!
LOL If that ain't country I'll kiss your .......................................that was great....good outtake.
Brown marcuse spiders have been seen up this way and I got bit by some type of spider on my middle finger and allmost lost it .the Dr or whatever said it was some skin thin called cellulite witch it wasn't and I like I said allmost lost it and I looked up spiders and the bite sounded like that but was deff a spider I have pics of my finger all screwed up .godbless bud
Why do you put the ram pump IN the creek? Cant it set 2 ft off the side on the dry ground?
Does the ram pump just hold pressure and “pause” when your stock tank is full with that float on it ?
yes...it just holds pressure
i made a pool pump with no moving parts. there are two valves only used to prime unit .it runs on gravity alone .no hammer no reciprocating parts.
a vacuum tight vessel ( olive drum 50 gal. )4 ' above my pool. one line simply comes from the pool to top of drum and second line comes from bottom of drum but is 5 times longer and coiled under drum 3 ' above pool. i closed exit valve and filled drum with a hose from well. once all air is purged , closed both valves and connected the inlet line from pool back to top of drum .as soon as i opened the valves , water ran like mad ! it ran untill i shut it down because it sucked the plastic barrel in. but it was still running. i have an old air compressor tank to replace it with. it won't collapse like the olive drum. free , quiet and can be scaled up and made to go higher . no ram pump .literally no moving parts .i almost fell over when i saw it realy working. so easy so cheap you must try it. the trick is sealed system to keep air out and longer down run than supply run. i did it in a small space with coiled grove hose that is somewhat rigid but already comes coiled up. this could be done with a long straight down run also. i just didn't need to go far away with my water .next is my pond and a giant propane tank! then a water wheel making electricity 24 /. 7
People tend to congregate around the water cooler as well.
And I thought I seen it all..
what keeps this from freezing?
I'm sorry if you've already answered this a bunch of times, but it seems that with this set up, water is constantly flowing into the trough for the cows. Is that right and does the trough overflow or do the cows drink enough to keep up with it? Thanks
I eventually installed float valves in all the tanks
