I like some of BTS's music (like 30 of their 200+ discography but when I say that I like them that means that I occasionally listen to them not just for a certain period) and I have nothing against the boys. But the fandom is awful, period. It is very bad. I wrote a comment under post about JK's album, saying that imo it was below mid and it is too overhyped. For that comment I was bashed with 1000+ comments for being jealous. For what exactly? I have never experienced this within the western music market within popular artists there (I don't listen to Taylor so I won't comment on her fans because I know they are worse). Whenever I have said something bad about a song, the comments were respectful with other people's opinion. I get that Kpop fandoms consist of younger audience but the bigger it is the worse it is, especially with male groups where the parasocial relationships are a problem. I won't to clarify that the boys have nothing to do with the hate the group receive. The fandom is the problem. If you look in Drake's case, the reason he is hated is only because of him and his actions, not because of his fans.

Yes, theoretically I’m a kpop fan, but I don’t really Stan groups. I’m in kpop for the music. I could give two craps about the groups. I don’t Stan anyone, I just might listen to more music from one group than another, but I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of them. Kpop is a small part of my music taste, so I just don’t like stanning groups. I find it unnecessary. Looking back on it, I was a kpop stan, and it was a little cringe, so I stopped, and kept kpop at an arms length.

As someone who used to be a die hard army to the point i made seprate account only for consuming bts content let me tell you , armys are the most manipulating people I've ever met . I unstanned them for a quite a lot of reason but mainly because of armys . Bts did change their music for the grammys which is okay but armys just can't accept it . They chaged their music for an award which RM said they would never but they still did , and the armys used to make fun of monsta x for manking music for grammys but when bts did they suddenly gaslightled into people thinking that those corny english songs were for their fans like i know they love their fans but not this much , and second if you ever say that you stopped stanning then becuse of weird armys they'll manipulate you into thinking that you're the problem " why would you unstann the group because of their fans🤓" and i used to feel so bad but now I'm sure and I tell everyone that you're allowed to unstan a group because of the fandom. Army are literally the Korean fandom of Swifties. It is like a cult. In my country there is a Facebook group with aunties there of age 40-50 simping over the boys. I am in the group for the news and to have fun with their posts. But whenever they are in a group with female celebrities, the women are called plastics and attention seekers. Like, b*tch, you better be joking. Once I defended Lisa from BP when she had a photo with V, because they literally made fun of her looks which is awful since these aunties are fat and ugly. Then, the next thing was that I received a death threat for defending her via Messenger. I think that the toxic side of the fandom is not only toxic and offensive but also need a psychiatric help cause that is next level of delusion coming from women probably having kids

As an Army ever since 2019, I unstanned them once in 2021. I got bored of them but since I can't forgot about them and my family also listens to their songs, I stanned them again because I miss them too (It was only a week when I tried to unstan them 😭) + The majority of our fandom Armys are kinda...toxic. I just wanna say not all of us are like that but it's true. There's a lots of Armys and they always turned out to be toxic. I'm also an Army but I also don't like it, It makes the good Armys bad too and it's something I disliked the most. I just hope our fandom isn't toxic and bad and just support BTS normally. Literally, This is why I rather supports and listens to their music alone and doesn't join a big community full with Armys since It's scared. Toxic Armys made me feel uncomfortable to go around other Kpop fans, Because I'm scared they gonna think I'm also a toxic one too. (I hope you can understand since my English is not very well at all)

I watched your videos and i understand your point but you're just really bad at saying the way you think like- i watched the first video, like i liked the way you tried to to stay respectful but the title was very disrespectful.. and the skz one, you stan the group not the fandom. Like i like aespa but mys are super annoying and always drag every idols down but i just ignore them and still love aespa. I stan aespa not mys. See the difference? And skz always made "noisy" music and there are many stays who enjoy "noisy" music. If it feels "cringe" and the "massive fame" annoys you then you're the problem. I have had basically the same experience with a lot of these groups that you had. In most cases its the toxic fandom that makes me slowly move away from the group. With stray kids and bts fandom, they have a weird complex like they are better then any other kpop stan because they stan skz/bts. It happens in a lot of fandoms but not as bad or annoying as with stays and armies. Enhypens fans are also so weird like I have seen a lot of bazaar remarks about ni-ki. Even when they weren't inappropriate, the obsession over him felt weird (probably because he was a CHILD). This happens with a lot of maknaes (which is disturbing), but not as wild as with niki. It hurts but I cant stan them anymore
@@karinluvsina Be reasonable now, lots of Armys are in their 30s and 40s. We also have a lot of grannies and men. BTS' fandom is truly global and across all ages and genders. Most of us just don't feel the need to yap so loud as the kids. They will grow up, too, and know better. Also BTS coming back will help a lot. We're trying to reign them in, just wait. 💜

And I can't disagree that sometimes stays just go too far for such things as example the recent met gala incident it was ok till online but when they directly attack it was something way too far tho! So I hope stays can understand that this type of things effect the group and idols^^

@aespageddon I don't know if it's just my experience but I think her words about the Fandom are valid. I LOVE stray kids and their music, however because of stays I CANNOT stan them. I've met tons of them both online and irl and they have completely ruined the fandom for me. I understand that not all of them are toxic, I think the fandom is very 50/50 or 30/50 (30 being toxic stays).
As a Stay I don't have nothing contrary to your opinion 🤍, people SHOULD be more outspoken because at the end of the day it's just music, nobody is dying, but I know that some people took it on extremely toxic levels when it comes to their favourites (I am not justifying them ofc). Also as a Stay I do also have songs that I (shockingly) don't like - we all have slightly different tastes in music so, of course, it's impossible to please everyone. It's funny though, because prior to "God's Menu" I didn't really like many of their songs lol. I fully disagree w/ your take on JESSI and I also found that segment weird because contrary to how you decided to go about JESSI, you went into detail about why SKZ's music didn't appeal to you compared to how it used to but when it came to JESSI you decided to go w/ "it's plain bad" // "terrible @ singing & rapping" and acting like you have no clue why people find her bad*ss by disregarding the most known fact about her; her extreme struggle to get to where she is now... simply because you don't like her. Music taste is entirely subjective but there are objective facts that you can state despite that. From an objective view, her music being "plain bad" is a blatant lie considering how her music is well-produced, she has great flow and her songs aren't generic while also not being too crazy. The only thing that isn't simply lying is that she doesn't excel in singing due to both her age and the fact that rapping can strain your voice, her controvercies etc. If her songs didn't have such quality, they wouldn't have made the buzz that they did amongst others. StrayKids' fans are definitely not the worst but lately they've been spamming "SKZ ARE THE KINGS OF KPOP" several times in multiple comments sections irrelevant to SKZ and it js makes me physically recoil 'cause the majority of them are probably already aware of how much Bangchan HATES that kind of behaviour and discourages it. I've drifted away from kpop but I still check out new k-releases every now and then and the groups/aritsts that I still listen to very often/stan despite allat are StrayKids, NCT and NewJeans.

I seriously started stanning LSF from "Easy" and now I'm so into LSF music that noone can get me out of it. I stan kpop artist for their music, not bc of their fan or their variety show, I just want to enjoy their music. So it doesn't matter to me whether they have vocally challenged song or not, if it is enjoyable and meaningful (lyrics mean alot to me) I stan the idol. So LSF and BTS are BIG for me, bc to this day I enjoy their music and they have meaningful songs as well.
and i get your point! i am actually a vocalist and it physically hurts for me to see idols that can’t sing and yet are given all the praise and idols that actually do have talent are forgotten. it’s not the girls’s fault obviously, but i wish their vocal skills lived up to the hype.

It might just be MY experience but Stays are just as bad as armys/blinks. I love stray kids, I love their music. I will continue to listen to their music and watch their content sometimes, but I cannot "stan" them. Stays just ruined the fandom for me.

I usually don't stan groups, I am a casual listener, but BP introduced into the genre in 2016 and I am kinda loyal to them not because I like their music, but maybe also stayed for their personalities, the way they carry themselves, and as Jennie-biased I just have sympathy towards her that started with love for her as an artist and a performer to loving her for not falling apart with everything that has happened to her since pre debut. Sometimes I guess we stan a group or an artist for the music and sometimes we stay for them as people. I hope nothing worse happens to her than hate, because as someone whose favourite male group was Shinee for 2 years, it was heartbreaking seeing your bias you know what...I feel like it is no good for any fan to feel attached to idols but at the same time it happens too often. My advice is not to hate on any idol for their jobs and especially for their attitudes since we don't really know them. Remember that they are humans in first place, they have families and feelings so feel responsible for your words.
I can’t unstan them but skz music stopped being skz music after thunderous,I tried my best to like 5star and rockstar but I just can’t. I loved all their song up till thunderous then it just plain hurts. Still a fan though.
I love maniac,it slipped my mind. It’s S class, 143 and Lalala that threw me off. I loved everything they released before thunderous though. I still stream their old songs on repeat.
I was first introduced to kpop when BTS released black swan. At first I just listened to the song, just like I would any other song. But their fandom, army, swept me into listening to every song they had, listening to new songs over and over again just so the video would get more views, even if I didn't really like the song. One day found myself wondering what I even did before I ran into BTS, and I truly realized for the first time how much time I was wasting on a group of guys I didn't even know. I still listen to their music, along with some music from bands like stray kids, ateez, blackpink, etc. but I will never join a kpop fandom again, because why should I waste my life obsessing over people I will never meet? Why should I care what a singer that I listen to looks like, or how many views their videos have, or even how many awards they have? I couldn't even tell you the names of all of the members of most of the bands I listen to, much less what person belonged to what name, because why should I have to? I am ok with listening to kpop just for the music, and that is a sentiment I wish more people would have.
I'm still an army (7-8 years in) but 100% agree with you. Kpop fandoms in general are extremely competitive with each other. People focus on "winning" something so much, they lose their reasons of loving them in the first place. I call myself an army simply because I love the group and their fandom name is army. It's that simple. People seem to put too much meaning and responsibility into being in a fandom. Thankfully there are many fans who think like me that I can interact and we're just doing our own thing. 🤷🏻♀️
i respect your opinion but i stan them cuz they make me happy.. i wont call my life bad but its not good either.. the only thing that keeps me sane are bts and sometimes my friends.. their songs inspire me.. and even if my life was good i would've still stanned them cuz i know my heart cant let go.. the difference in my life before and after bts is huge .. it just hurts seeing them getting so much hate cuz they dont deserve it
Your stanned and unstanned timeline for BTS matches mine, actually. They became so insanely commercialized. It's not that the music is bad quality, because it isn't bad at all -- it's just not the BTS I fell in love with (musically). If anything, their 2019-2021ish music felt like caricatures of BTS. The grand exception within that time frame is ON. ON is, to me, a masterpiece and feels like BTS all while still experimenting with new sounds. All of this is to say that your reasoning makes perfect sense to me personally. Recently, I admit I've fallen deeply in love with them again likely due to their enlistment in the military. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, I guess 🥹💜
BTS made three English songs and Kpoppers went crazy. The fact that they became household names caused many kpop fans to become butt hurt because kpop was no longer niche music that they and their two friends listened to. I am glad you came back to the fold though. They have army well feed and other groups should take lessons

i can understand having your own opinion abt skz cause to each their own and abt everything you said i know a lot of people feel that way regarding their older songs which i can get behind i personally still like their new stuff however i wish stays nowadays weren't so toxic,as much as you want to voice your opinion on their music stays have that extremely sensitive negative energy and just being extremely toxic and overall being insufferable. Not every stay is like that speaking for myself but i feel that lately there's been an influx of toxicity and snobby behavior like i said before i can get behind having opinions on the music but the toxic stan's will always ruin everyone for everyone and in general make skz look bad,cause like any other group who has fans that display this behavior make others look at the group in a bad way regardless if they enjoy their music it just makes both of us look bad, the artist and the fans but at the end of the day i can only hope people just really see skz for who they are and their music and not by how some of the fandom acts i can get behind anyone's opinion on any group just as long as you're not flat out being rude and toxic and i think you said what you needed to say while being respectful and getting your point across.
i’m literally a stay and jam to some of their songs but most of them (2020 onwards) literally are so cringey and bad sounding to me. I still listen to them occasionally because theyre catchy but i really prefer their older songs where they didn’t have to be weighed down to “the stray kids sound”
I became uncomfortable with the group after that and decided to distance myself. It coincided as well with them making music that I felt moved too far from what I liked about the first two albums.

tbh i definitely understand unstanning due to the fandom bc a lot of the time the toxic stans can absolutely mess up my view of an artist, show ect. as another ex. stay i mostly left bc of the fandom. baby stays were always really cringe for a lack of a better word and toxic. this is also the reason i never really got into bts 😓 some armys are really toxic and i know its not all of them but just those can mess up my experience stanning a group

I think the best thing is not to dive into the fandoms. I know you want to share your exitement and joy with people like you. But there are normal fans and toxic fans and you never know who you will meet. Stopping listening to the songs you liked because of toxic fans is really sad. TT I also understand the dissapointment when you expect a really good song from your beloved groups and they accidentally deliver something worse than mediocre. That might be hurtful, but we still have the old golden songs, don't we? It is only normal not to like ALL the songs that the group you like produces. Just give them a chance to stay in your heart. Maybe they'll cheer you up with the next comeback. P.S. I'm a Primadonna from 2011, Elf from 2017, Sistar fan from 2017, Melody from 2019, N.fia from 2020, Moa from 2023, Black Rose from 2024. There is literally no group/band that I stopped loving during these years.
Stray Kids is the same for me as it is for you, though i didn't unstan them (I hope they surprise me later). I mostly only listen to their old songs and their bsides. And it's so sad cos their music used to be so good.
@jeffhernandez4099 pretty ironic, I commented on the next video and mentioned it. I liked it...I like most of the songs on the album, my favourites being 'Runners', 'Mountains' and 'I Like It'. Overall, it is an improvement from their 2 previous albums imo. Now I'm glad I chose to wait before deciding to unstan

The nature of art is some people like certain things and others don't but keeping an open mind helps you appreciate even art you don't necessarily like, huge props to you.
Ayo don't say like that it feels weird as a stay cause I agree their music are a little noisy but if you listen to their b-sides as coverme,leave,twilight,youtifull,I am you etc then you can find a freaking huge difference cause those songs are chill meaningful and good asf!

I can’t think of a single skz song when there isn’t at least a minute of the backtrack being louder then the actual vocals or that the vocals ( which is typically rapping) is too loud to compliment the backtrack. Bangchan or whoever also definitely doesn’t take into account his members strengths and weaknesses vocally, when arranging a song the artist skills as singer/rapper should be what’s taken into account, not 100% of what you want the song to sound like, which it’s seems like what he’s doing. I’ve seen skz live twice and I’ve listened to a good amount of their songs and there isn’t a single song that’s either incredibly underwhelming in vocals or the members are straining so badly you can hear it in the actual song.

True that with skz. Personally I was disappointed from 143 era. I like some b sides but the main song was very EH. Thunderous was ok and I was obsessed with the whole maniac album. But from case 143 was just not it. What saved it a bit was just the Lalalala song, but not for so long. One can get bored of listening to it very fast. And now they're having a comeback and I'm not so sure about it. BUT their japanese songs are very good.

stray kids one is so real 😭😭 i also 100% agree that a fandom is a valid reason for unstanning a group. i've seen so many people saying "just don't interact with the fandom and listen to the group". what these people don't get is that fandom culture in kpop is such a huge thing. like lets be fr most fans don't just listen to the music and call it a day. they interact with other fans and form a community in social media platforms. imo that's what makes kpop, for the most part, fun. but when a fandom is a literal shitshow, i wouldn't want to be associated with that mess, ultimately leading me to consume less content from that group

I unstand Enhypen cos of the atmosphere and relationship of all the members, for some reason they feel very distant and awkward towards each other. I can't bear to look at it. Also their music, i love given taken and drunk dazed era, but after that their sound its changed.
I staned them until like Tamed-Dashed. I enjoyed their music until Bite Me. Sweet Venom wasnt bad but... WHAT THE HELL IS THEIR NEW SONG XO?? I can't- The chemistry thing is a survival show group problem usually. And Niki became so distant after the cake incident. Its a shame :/ They will probably part their ways as soon as their contracts ends.

To think I'd unstan them after god's menu,which basically blew them up :') I tried up until inlife era but it just didn't feel the same. @@_rudaina__samaira_7831 i cleared this in the section itself but i WAS a hardcore stay. stray kids’s music IS noisy, their music is what people call ‘noise music’ and it’s actually a term used in kpop. some of my favourite ‘noise music’ is salute by ab6ix, gimme gimme by nct 127, and miroh and side effects from stray kids themselves. i do like noise music but there is a way as to how it should be done, but music at the end of the day is subjective and we have the right to express our opinions. secondly, i didn’t call stray kids “corny” or “cringy”, my wording made it sound like that, i apologise. i meant to say their music/lyrics turned cringy. and lastly, stays are VERY rude trust me on that 😭 obviously, not all of them. the ones in this comment section for example are very nice, for example. but most of stray kids’s audience are very immature. i think it’s mainly because their music appeals to teenagers/young adults. i mean, you won’t see a 30 year old working man listening to thunderous now, would you? nevertheless, thank you for watching and im glad you took out the time to comment

I like some of BTS's music (like 30 of their 200+ discography but when I say that I like them that means that I occasionally listen to them not just for a certain period) and I have nothing against the boys. But the fandom is awful, period. It is very bad. I wrote a comment under post about JK's album, saying that imo it was below mid and it is too overhyped. For that comment I was bashed with 1000+ comments for being jealous. For what exactly? I have never experienced this within the western music market within popular artists there (I don't listen to Taylor so I won't comment on her fans because I know they are worse). Whenever I have said something bad about a song, the comments were respectful with other people's opinion. I get that Kpop fandoms consist of younger audience but the bigger it is the worse it is, especially with male groups where the parasocial relationships are a problem. I won't to clarify that the boys have nothing to do with the hate the group receive. The fandom is the problem. If you look in Drake's case, the reason he is hated is only because of him and his actions, not because of his fans.

Yes, theoretically I’m a kpop fan, but I don’t really Stan groups. I’m in kpop for the music. I could give two craps about the groups. I don’t Stan anyone, I just might listen to more music from one group than another, but I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of them. Kpop is a small part of my music taste, so I just don’t like stanning groups. I find it unnecessary. Looking back on it, I was a kpop stan, and it was a little cringe, so I stopped, and kept kpop at an arms length.

Army are literally the Korean fandom of Swifties. It is like a cult. In my country there is a Facebook group with aunties there of age 40-50 simping over the boys. I am in the group for the news and to have fun with their posts. But whenever they are in a group with female celebrities, the women are called plastics and attention seekers. Like, b*tch, you better be joking. Once I defended Lisa from BP when she had a photo with V, because they literally made fun of her looks which is awful since these aunties are fat and ugly. Then, the next thing was that I received a death threat for defending her via Messenger. I think that the toxic side of the fandom is not only toxic and offensive but also need a psychiatric help cause that is next level of delusion coming from women probably having kids

As an Army ever since 2019, I unstanned them once in 2021. I got bored of them but since I can't forgot about them and my family also listens to their songs, I stanned them again because I miss them too (It was only a week when I tried to unstan them 😭)
+ The majority of our fandom Armys are kinda...toxic. I just wanna say not all of us are like that but it's true. There's a lots of Armys and they always turned out to be toxic. I'm also an Army but I also don't like it, It makes the good Armys bad too and it's something I disliked the most. I just hope our fandom isn't toxic and bad and just support BTS normally. I have had basically the same experience with a lot of these groups that you had. In most cases its the toxic fandom that makes me slowly move away from the group. With stray kids and bts fandom, they have a weird complex like they are better then any other kpop stan because they stan skz/bts. It happens in a lot of fandoms but not as bad or annoying as with stays and armies. Enhypens fans are also so weird like I have seen a lot of bazaar remarks about ni-ki. Even when they weren't inappropriate, the obsession over him felt weird (probably because he was a CHILD). This happens with a lot of maknaes (which is disturbing), but not as wild as with niki. It hurts but I cant stan them anymore

@aespageddon I don't know if it's just my experience but I think her words about the Fandom are valid. I LOVE stray kids and their music, however because of stays I CANNOT stan them. I've met tons of them both online and irl and they have completely ruined the fandom for me. I understand that not all of them are toxic, I think the fandom is very 50/50 or 30/50 (30 being toxic stays).
As a Stay I don't have nothing contrary to your opinion 🤍, people SHOULD be more outspoken because at the end of the day it's just music, nobody is dying, but I know that some people took it on extremely toxic levels when it comes to their favourites (I am not justifying them ofc). I fully disagree w/ your take on JESSI and I also found that segment weird because contrary to how you decided to go about JESSI, you went into detail about why SKZ's music didn't appeal to you compared to how it used to but when it came to JESSI you decided to go w/ "it's plain bad" // "terrible @ singing & rapping" and acting like you have no clue why people find her bad*ss by disregarding the most known fact about her; her extreme struggle to get to where she is now... simply because you don't like her.
Music taste is entirely subjective but there are objective facts that you can state despite that. From an objective view, her music being "plain bad" is a blatant lie considering how her music is well-produced, she has great flow and her songs aren't generic while also not being too crazy. The only thing that isn't simply lying is that she doesn't excel in singing due to both her age and the fact that rapping can strain your voice, her controvercies etc. If her songs didn't have such quality, they wouldn't have made the buzz that they did amongst others.
StrayKids' fans are definitely not the worst but lately they've been spamming "SKZ ARE THE KINGS OF KPOP" several times in multiple comments sections irrelevant to SKZ and it js makes me physically recoil 'cause the majority of them are probably already aware of how much Bangchan HATES that kind of behaviour and discourages it. I've drifted away from kpop but I still check out new k-releases every now and then and the groups/aritsts that I still listen to very often/stan despite allat are StrayKids, NCT and NewJeans.

I seriously started stanning LSF from "Easy" and now I'm so into LSF music that noone can get me out of it. I stan kpop artist for their music, not bc of their fan or their variety show, I just want to enjoy their music. So it doesn't matter to me whether they have vocally challenged song or not, if it is enjoyable and meaningful (lyrics mean alot to me) I stan the idol. So LSF and BTS are BIG for me, bc to this day I enjoy their music and they have meaningful songs as well.
and i get your point! i am actually a vocalist and it physically hurts for me to see idols that can’t sing and yet are given all the praise and idols that actually do have talent are forgotten. it’s not the girls’s fault obviously, but i wish their vocal skills lived up to the hype.

It might just be MY experience but Stays are just as bad as armys/blinks. I love stray kids, I love their music. I will continue to listen to their music and watch their content sometimes, but I cannot "stan" them. Stays just ruined the fandom for me.

I usually don't stan groups, I am a casual listener, but BP introduced into the genre in 2016 and I am kinda loyal to them not because I like their music, but maybe also stayed for their personalities, the way they carry themselves, and as Jennie-biased I just have sympathy towards her that started with love for her as an artist and a performer to loving her for not falling apart with everything that has happened to her since pre debut. Sometimes I guess we stan a group or an artist for the music and sometimes we stay for them as people. I hope nothing worse happens to her than hate, because as someone whose favourite male group was Shinee for 2 years, it was heartbreaking seeing your bias you know what...I feel like it is no good for any fan to feel attached to idols but at the same time it happens too often. My advice is not to hate on any idol for their jobs and especially for their attitudes since we don't really know them. Remember that they are humans in first place, they have families and feelings so feel responsible for your words.

I was first introduced to kpop when BTS released black swan. At first I just listened to the song, just like I would any other song. But their fandom, army, swept me into listening to every song they had, listening to new songs over and over again just so the video would get more views, even if I didn't really like the song. One day found myself wondering what I even did before I ran into BTS, and I truly realized for the first time how much time I was wasting on a group of guys I didn't even know. I still listen to their music, along with some music from bands like stray kids, ateez, blackpink, etc. but I will never join a kpop fandom again, because why should I waste my life obsessing over people I will never meet? Why should I care what a singer that I listen to looks like, or how many views their videos have, or even how many awards they have? I couldn't even tell you the names of all of the members of most of the bands I listen to, much less what person belonged to what name, because why should I have to? I am ok with listening to kpop just for the music, and that is a sentiment I wish more people would have.
I'm still an army (7-8 years in) but 100% agree with you. Kpop fandoms in general are extremely competitive with each other. People focus on "winning" something so much, they lose their reasons of loving them in the first place. I call myself an army simply because I love the group and their fandom name is army. It's that simple. People seem to put too much meaning and responsibility into being in a fandom. Thankfully there are many fans who think like me that I can interact and we're just doing our own thing. 🤷🏻♀️

Your stanned and unstanned timeline for BTS matches mine, actually. They became so insanely commercialized. It's not that the music is bad quality, because it isn't bad at all -- it's just not the BTS I fell in love with (musically). If anything, their 2019-2021ish music felt like caricatures of BTS. The grand exception within that time frame is ON. ON is, to me, a masterpiece and feels like BTS all while still experimenting with new sounds. All of this is to say that your reasoning makes perfect sense to me personally.
Recently, I admit I've fallen deeply in love with them again likely due to their enlistment in the military. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, I guess 🥹💜
BTS made three English songs and Kpoppers went crazy. The fact that they became household names caused many kpop fans to become butt hurt because kpop was no longer niche music that they and their two friends listened to. I am glad you came back to the fold though. They have army well feed and other groups should take lessons

i’m literally a stay and jam to some of their songs but most of them (2020 onwards) literally are so cringey and bad sounding to me. I still listen to them occasionally because theyre catchy but i really prefer their older songs where they didn’t have to be weighed down to “the stray kids sound”

I think the best thing is not to dive into the fandoms. I know you want to share your exitement and joy with people like you. But there are normal fans and toxic fans and you never know who you will meet. Stopping listening to the songs you liked because of toxic fans is really sad. TT
I also understand the dissapointment when you expect a really good song from your beloved groups and they accidentally deliver something worse than mediocre. That might be hurtful, but we still have the old golden songs, don't we? It is only normal not to like ALL the songs that the group you like produces. Just give them a chance to stay in your heart. Maybe they'll cheer you up with the next comeback.

I can’t think of a single skz song when there isn’t at least a minute of the backtrack being louder then the actual vocals or that the vocals ( which is typically rapping) is too loud to compliment the backtrack. Bangchan or whoever also definitely doesn’t take into account his members strengths and weaknesses vocally, when arranging a song the artist skills as singer/rapper should be what’s taken into account, not 100% of what you want the song to sound like, which it’s seems like what he’s doing. I’ve seen skz live twice and I’ve listened to a good amount of their songs and there isn’t a single song that’s either incredibly underwhelming in vocals or the members are straining so badly you can hear it in the actual song.

True that with skz. Personally I was disappointed from 143 era. I like some b sides but the main song was very EH.
Thunderous was ok and I was obsessed with the whole maniac album. But from case 143 was just not it.
What saved it a bit was just the Lalalala song, but not for so long. One can get bored of listening to it very fast. And now they're having a comeback and I'm not so sure about it.
BUT their japanese songs are very good.

I unstand Enhypen cos of the atmosphere and relationship of all the members, for some reason they feel very distant and awkward towards each other. I can't bear to look at it. Also their music, i love given taken and drunk dazed era, but after that their sound its changed.

i understood all the reasons why you unstanned all the groups in the video but saying skz music is noisy like its not and there are many other songs that are very chill

@@_rudaina__samaira_7831 i cleared this in the section itself but i WAS a hardcore stay. stray kids’s music IS noisy, their music is what people call ‘noise music’ and it’s actually a term used in kpop. some of my favourite ‘noise music’ is salute by ab6ix, gimme gimme by nct 127, and miroh and side effects from stray kids themselves. i do like noise music but there is a way as to how it should be done, but music at the end of the day is subjective and we have the right to express our opinions. secondly, i didn’t call stray kids “corny” or “cringy”, my wording made it sound like that, i apologise. i meant to say their music/lyrics turned cringy. and lastly, stays are VERY rude trust me on that 😭 obviously, not all of them. the ones in this comment section for example are very nice, for example. but most of stray kids’s audience are very immature. i think it’s mainly because their music appeals to teenagers/young adults. i mean, you won’t see a 30 year old working man listening to thunderous now, would you? nevertheless, thank you for watching and im glad you took out the time to comment

I don't find the lyrics to be misandrist, imo they portray these generally cold-hearted, powerful women. Saying are stronger than any guy alludes to not subjecting to patriarchy. in the translation I saw, they are not really calling men weak, but making women look stronger. i don't fully agree with potraying feminsim like this, cause feminsim is more nuanced and the lyrics feel likd another media attempt at "empowering" women, but i don't find it misandrist (especially compared to other "feminist" media out there)
