Their confidence exceeds their knowledge, I'm steelin that one.
That’s exactly what I said 😂😂😂
Me too 😂
Only one problem, it's not confidence, it's arrogance.
In this instance it is more like ignorance.
Arrogance is a secondary symptom of the primary cause which is abject ignorance.
The United States of America... a nation whose entire population is suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect...
I feel you Nova Scotia. Air Canada doesn't even include Newfoundland in there commercials.
back in the 90's, a tourism-style map of Canada released by the Feds, for advertising in Europe, conveniently showed the country ending at the Quebec border, sans Atlantic Canada...
Did you mean to say "their commercials"?
Why would Air Canada include a non-province in their commercials? Maybe try looking at a map me ol cock ;)
Who cares he wasn't writing a book.
@@jab100lochaberthats crazy youd think theyd really advertise newfoundland to ireland and ns to scotland
Nothing about America is surprising anymore.
Sadly
I doubt the average American would grasp the irony that Alexander Graham Bell, the man that started the ball rolling that eventually gave us cell phones, spent his summers and later years in … Nova Scotia.
What is ironic about that? Doesn’t irony in that situation assume that everything was invented in the US. Assumed by you that is. 😉🙂
@@nicklenco7311 Let me help you out. The youngster working in an American store that sells cellular telephones and service plans was unaware that his/her job wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Alexander Graham Bell, the man who invented the telephone, which is a precursor to the cell phone. Bell had significant ties to Canada in general and Nova Scotia in particular. That, my friend, is irony. Perhaps you are thinking of the definition of irony that Alannis Morrisette espoused in her big hit “Ironic”? As it turns out, not a single event she sings about in that song meets the actual definition of irony.
You’re welcome.
@@roymcgaw7431 let me help you out. That is NOT ironic. Nothing about it is ironic. American cell phone salespeople not knowing the history of the phone has nothing to do with irony. Bell having ties to Canada has nothing to do with irony. The two things combined have nothing to do with irony. And, yes, nothing in the Morrisette song is ironic either but your use of the word only differs from hers in that, the way you are using it, there is not even a coincidence. You (and Morisette) need another connection to create irony. What she has are coincidences and what you have is not even a connection at all.
You need to learn what irony is.
You’re welcome.
Lol. I find it so funny that you got all cocky and added that. It feels almost ironic that you answered the way you did. But to really be ironic you would need to be an English teacher or something similar AND have schooled me incorrectly on irony. Like with rain on your wedding day - if you were marrying a meteorologist it could be ironic - but it would not be ironic if there was rain on your wedding day and you did not know how rain was created - which is how you are using the word. You need that extra bit.
“Like not knowing the history of the product your selling” would not even made it into the song.
@@nicklenco7311 Help me out, professor. What word would a scholar such as yourself use to describe a situation wherein someone whose very job is dependent on the invention of a particular device insists (quite incorrectly) that service for said device is unavailable in a place very closely associated with the inventor of it? While you’re at it, where is the irony in a meteorologist having to deal with rain on his or her wedding day? Are you suggesting they could have predicted the weather for a particular day when weddings are typically planned months in advance?
@@roymcgaw7431 I can only comment on what you have written. Which was that it was ironic that the average American would not grasp the irony that Bell spent summers (lots of times really) in NS. which involves no irony.
And the stupidity just keeps on coming!
Years ago I was in British Columbia and went to a greyhound bus station and asked if they go all the way across Canada, they said yes, all the way to Montreal.
Ugh, I feel that everytime I see the words "Canadian tour" or "north american tour". Canadian tour is often just Toronto and/or Vancouver... "North American" is often just American... Occasionally with one or two Canadian dates. I understand it's a big country, but using those terms for a tour that barely scratches the surface is a bit of a pet peeve of mine...

Americans unfortunately have no idea where they are the moment they leave their street, there are some of them that even think that the state of Alaska is an Island, because on their map of the United States , there is nothing between the state of Washington and Alaska therefore it must be an Island, dah 😂😢
Remember, there is nothing above that line across the northern U.S border.

oh my. that's hilarious and so accurate. Sometimes people don't believe it, but its oh so true
I say this LOUD & CLEARLY - AS A TORONTONIAN - Canada DOES NOT END (OR START) with us!! (& yes, - [because I know where this is going] - I WAS born & bred here to the rest of you! - & NO, I am NOT unusual for a Torontonian either!)
I am FIRST - IMPRESSED though - that Americans have even HEARD of Nova Scotia. That's pretty advanced for them.
2nd - I am HORRIFIED, ANGERED & MYSTIFIED? - as to WHAT has made them think Canada ends at Toronto?? Was there some sort of huge earthquake they were made to believe happened that severed the land apart right at this point? What on earth has gotten into their heads about this one?????
@@Carrie-so3ro One nice thing about Toronto is that it has the same accent as northern California. Oh, you do have to learn to say washroom, parkade and a few others. And you have to learn how to pronounce Etobicoke and a few others, but it is nice to feel at home away from home.

We DO say washroom! What makes you think that we don't? It is washroom out in public, (& usually on the 1st floor & basement level of homes - without even thinking about it. The upstairs washrooms or other places there are bedrooms are called bathrooms [again, without even thinking about it] - because this is where you will find baths. We just happen to be logical. 😜)
As to the pronunciation of Etobicoke - & a few others - we do know how to properly pronounce them - it just so happens you have stumbled upon one (or a few) of our verbal "secret handshakes." If you know, you know. If you don't - you will be outed as a foreigner - maybe from Northern California. 😉

Living in California for a short time and was asked what kind of palm tree's we have. Same person said he would not visit Canada because of all the bears roaming the streets and eating out of garbage cans. Ah California, the land of the fruits and nut and now needles and pins with a side order of shit in the streets.

Not Even In Vancouver
But As A Fellow Canadian

@@RandomManIncorperated This is going to come as a shock to you as it did to me. Apparently there are palm tree's in the Vancouver area but they were planted and not native to the area. I only learned of this about a year ago but have not seen them with my own eyes so until then i will still shake my head from left to right. California has a special breed of Human's as some believe Alaska is a island when they look on some maps that show only the territories of the U.S.A. Here is another one i met while living in Cali for a short time. The topic of Metro systems came up and this person was surprised i claimed we had them and the response was while they were there they never seen metro trains where i responded that is because they are under ground. Canada is a huge country. I think it's reasonable to assume that most Nova Scotians have never drive n across Ontario. Have you driven across Saskatchewan? When we go to NS on vacation, we do our homework and have a list of places to see. It's actually understandable that not too many Nova Scotians want to explore Mississauga.
