He doesn't drive me up the wall, he's a breath of fresh air, the interviewer was rude and wrong on that score. In being so true to himself he frees everyone else up. I can't seem to get enough of him, he's such a gentle, warm, playful, witty and considerate soul. Thank Heaven for Quentin Crisp!

Banker was prolly a gourmet of sorts and couldn't grasp how Quentin could happily subsist on Complan.

I just adore this wonderful human being. As an outsider myself, his wisdom always was a great comfort to me and gave me help. Anyone whom adores this man is my kind of person.♥️

It is both stimulating and relaxing listening to Mr Crisp. His grammar is impeccable. His words flow without any hesitation whatsoever and with restful rythm. His philosophy is fascinating. His faith in his own identity is absolute and enviable.
I love the way he occasionally reduces interviewers to spluttering disbelief.

I love his view on style, which certainly isn't about fashion. Fashion is purely following the herd, style is projecting yourself personally on how you want to be seen and how you feel. Being your ultimate self.
I also like how he deals with interviewers who try and trip him up. He never ever gets aggressive or defensive, he just answers honestly, respectfully and eloquently.
An amazing guy whose wisdom and thoughts have spanned the generations and will continue to do so.

The only wall that Quentin ever drove anyone up is a wall of absolute happiness, giddy glee, life, freedom and the ability to voice one's own opinions. I am so thankful for the internet and platforms like RUclips because this is the purpose or at least it should be the purpose; to bring these voices and images alive that we otherwise would have been lost to and unknown to some of us in history. I am a heterosexual female and love men from the beginning to the end but there's so much to learn in listening to the voices of so many in various diverse situations.
    All hail Quentin Crisp❗ 🎉

I've had Complan, so I know what it is. It has added vitamins and builds you up if you're feeling abit off, or been unwell. I had it now and again, after the three or so days I'd been off my food due to lack of appetite caused by migraine headache and sickness. It isn't really tasteless and you can get it in various flavours. I didn't mix mine with water though, I mixed mine with milk (then). I've just started watching videos of Quentin Crisp, and he seems to have been a wonderful character and happy to chat to interviewers. Love his voice also 🤗

Quentin's NY diary 'Resident Alien' is excellent. Great to dip into when you have a spare moment or two. His quotes and pensées are full of wit and wisdom.

I watched the John Hurt movie about him last night which prompted a RUclips recommendation for this.
As a heterosexual guy I found him to be refreshing in how he was simply himself and refused to follow the pack. He had messages for everyone.
