As a parent of two teenage daughter's, I have been trying to get through to my oldest about the power of forgiveness. For many years she has been carrying this bitterness towards one of her friends whom she had a falling out with many years ago. It has been eating at her for a while. As a teacher by trade, I have found sometimes the best way to teach is through music. This song hits the mark. It expresses everything I have been trying to relay to my daughter. While it is hard to let things go and simply forgive, when you finally do, you set yourself free from the chains of bitterness and resentment. I absolutely love this song! We need more of these types of songs!

Wise words NTB! Forgiveness sets you free
How do you keep from holding anger against people who inflicted such harm on you it could've cost your life. And they carry on without acknowledging and without remorse, fully willing to do same if you made the mistake of giving them a second chance. What forgiveness should be given to such an enemy on whom you made the mistake of bestowing trust?
Hey! I don't know what your situation is exactly, but I have personally had to deal with forgiveness a lot. Or perhaps more so unforgiveness. So long as you hold onto that anger, that hurt, that unforgiveness in your own heart, it will continue to tear at you. It is not about them, it is not about freeing them from what they did, it is about freeing yourself from the suffering of it. Forgiving does not mean forgetting.
Remember, too, it is important to protect yourself by placing boundaries around you. Doing so is not about forgiveness, it's about removing yourself from someone who doesn't respect boundaries, who doesn't care how words and actions feel to you, how intrusive those words and actions are. The Bible even references setting ourselves away from people like that.
I would have to tell you the truth you can’t do it but the Jesus in you will do it ! To forgive people who did the most can only be done supernaturally Jesus knew it was something us as people could not do alone that’s where he comes in at ! Give it to God and everyday repeat to your self As an act of my will I choose to forgive and keep speaking it towards the situation and start thanking God for the strength to forgive !!!! A chance and a choice !!! Choose life ! Since God knows you want to give it up and forgive he will honor that take a step and allow him to activate that spirit of forgiveness !!!
That's true: forgiveness is the only way to freedom. That's what Jesus taught and also the solution to all conflicts...conflict, and conflicts.
