You said a key word that so many are looking for, safety. Like yourself, I am from a place in the Bay Area that has struggled with safety. Just curious, what about hospitals and medical?

Right near downtown Placerville, just about 3-5 minutes off of Main street is Marshall hospital it's a great hospital with full ER, diagnostics, surgery capabilities and labor and delivery, everything you need. If you have something more extensive or that needs specialized care like major trauma or cancer or something along those lines you may end up going down to Sacramento to access the UC Davis medical system there for more advanced care but for most of your every day needs Marshall is great. There is a whole network of GP's associated with Marshall as well in fact my doctor is in the building just across the street from the hospital. There are a few offsite diagnostic and surgery centers in Cameron park which is just a 15 minutes drive down the hill that you may use from time to time as well. But access to medical care is great here.
