Tapper is a 1983 arcade game released by Bally Midway. Tapper puts the player in the shoes of a bartender. The player must serve eager, thirsty patrons before their patience expires while collecting empty mugs and tips.
£e Nécroyeur ( tasvideos.org/... ) completes one loop of the game in record time.
We also have runs of the Atari 2600 ( tasvideos.org/... ) and Commodore 64 ( tasvideos.org/... ) versions.

Joseph Collins This game Is hard as hell: a beer will make a customer go back by only a little of the whole counter, so without TAS speeds you will require more beers per client.
Also after a while clients come back.
Also if he's not out after a beer you have to collect the empty glass or it's game over.

I last played it in the mid-90s, in my late teens, and I never saw the outer space levels. You were basically fighting against the gushy joystick, which wore out due to the dynamics of the game (up & down especially). But it had a lot of charm.

The bird falling from the sky is a nod to the arcade game Track & Field where when throwing the javelin, if you run fast enough and set the angle as high as it will go, the javelin spears a bird (offscreen) and falls from the sky.

Because this is the Budweiser motif. Tapper (Budweiser) was originally released for the bars only. When Tapper was released in the arcades they made a family-friendly version called "Root Beer Tapper" which changes Domino Man from a bartender into a soda jerk, this was made because they're afraid that the original version (Budweiser Tapper) was construed as advertising alcohol to minors. Since Root Beer Tapper no longer use the Anheuser-Busch sponsorship (which is the company that owns Budweiser) they have to create an original motif and bonus level music. The reason that the ports doesn't use the Budweiser motif, it's because are based on the Root Beer Tapper version of the game.

I dont know what it is, but the "music" in this game is unnerving to me. There's something so hollow sounding to it... I really can't explain it, but these types of soundtracks just make me feel some kind of uneasiness.

Reality is it isn't - tool assisted speedruns make it appear easier then it actually is.
Suggest reading up on what they are.
