This is a owners class for the Opal 690Q. In this class we will go over the entire machine, from threading the machine, to every button, feature, and function.
I bought this machine (in New Zealand) the Saturday before we went in lockdown in 2020. My sewing machines were in Malaysia so I took the chance to get the Husqvarna I wanted. This video was so useful! I have very busy with work since I bought it and realised when I was teaching my 7 year old granddaughter how to sew with it, I needed to learn how to use all the great features. It really helped to play the video alongside trying things out.

Superb intro. I own Husqvarna Prisma 960 from mid nighteen eighties. It was their first computerized model. Indeed, some of the features were already there at that time, albeit one needed to use analog buttons for the choices of fabric type and the stitches. The machine still works and needs to be serviced now. However, I want to upgrade and this video showed me why this Opal model 690 might just be the right choice for me. Sufice to say I payed the same amount for it then as it costs now. Thus in comparison it is cheaper nowadays.Thank you very much for your demo.🙂
Thank you so much for this video. I attended a class on how to use this machine $75. and never received half of the info you presented. Your instructions are very clear and I was able to follow along with no problem. I’m sure I will enjoy using this machine now that I have a complete guide to follow. Keep up with the good work!!!!!!!
Thank you for the comprehensive explanation on how to use the machine. Saves time and headache. I upgraded from Emerald 116 to Opal 690Q . I went to a class to learned how to use the machine and the class left me frustrated because I could not figure out many of the features of this amazing machine. Too many people at the class and the two teachers could not keep up with the raised hands and the different machines that they were teaching. Your class is one on one teaching. Great teaching. Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video. My mom passed away a couple years ago and as I am going through her things, I am trying to pick up sewing since it was so important to her. This is the machine she used and this video provided amazing attention to detail and helped me get started. 😊
thank you very very useful I have only bought my machine but in a hurry. I have to use the sipper foot on very woven material and I don't see how to change the foot on the menu? could you help me? I will use strait stitch. thank you.
